Moody Replacing Rubio, Trump & the TikTok Ban, Dems Confess Biden’s Decline

January 17, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Moody Replacing Rubio, Trump & the TikTok Ban, Dems Confess Biden’s Decline” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they examine Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis selecting Attorney General Ashley Moody to replace Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate, the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a TikTok ban, and a new report exposing Democrats’ long-standing doubts about President Biden’s capabilities.

First, they cautiously commend Gov. DeSantis for appointing Ashley Moody to succeed Marco Rubio once Rubio assumes his new role as Secretary of State. Moody’s strong conservative credentials and statewide electoral success make her a solid choice. They also contrast the timing of this announcement with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who was had more than two months to pick someone to fill the seat vacated by Vice President-Elect JD Vance and still allowed the seat to remain vacant for a week.

Next, they analyze the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the TikTok ban, mandating the app’s sale to an entity unaffiliated with hostile nations. The law is designed to address national security concerns, but Donald Trump’s recent support for keeping TikTok unchanged adds a layer of complexity to the issue.

Finally, Jim and Greg dissect a revealing New York Times report detailing how Senate Democrats lost confidence in President Biden after his disastrous debate performance. They discuss how Biden’s pollsters gave him a mere five percent chance of defeating Trump but never told that to Biden. They also marvel at the lengths to which Democrats and the media tried to deny Biden’s decline when it was blatantly obvious to everyone.

The Israel-Hamas Ceasefire, Karine Jean-Pierre’s Pettiness, Biden’s Pathetic Farewell

January 16, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “The Israel-Hamas Ceasefire, Karine Jean-Pierre’s Pettiness, Biden’s Pathetic Farewell” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss the fragile Middle East ceasefire that could bring the hostages home, the petty response from Karine Jean-Pierre to President Trump’s role in the deal, and President Biden’s underwhelming farewell speech.

First, they express cautious optimism over the ceasefire deal, which they hope will bring home many of the remaining Israeli and American hostages. However, Jim remains realistic about the ongoing dangers, emphasizing that as long as hostilities are paused, Hamas will continue to manipulate the situation to their advantage.

Next, they highlight State Department Press Secretary Matthew Miller thanking the incoming Trump administration for its help in securing the ceasefire. When White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Miller’s comments, she downplayed his remarks and tried to redirect the credit solely to President Biden, calling Miller a “random person” in the process.

Finally, they groan over President Biden’s self-indulgent farewell speech that vastly overhyped his accomplishments, tried to settle some scores, and took aim at billionaire “oligarchs,” the same people he had no problems with until a couple of them stopped supporting him.

Dem Debacle at Hegseth Hearings, Minnesota Legislature Standoff, Bass Still Floundering

January 15, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Dem Debacle at Hegseth Hearings, Minnesota Legislature Standoff, Bass Still Floundering” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they dive into the Senate Democrats’ focus on theatrics over persuasion during the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearings, the Minnesota House of Representatives’ political standoff, and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass still sounding tone deaf over her performance during the wildfire crisis.

First, they analyze Pete Hegseth’s opening statement during his bid to become Secretary of Defense. Then they focus on the embarrassing spectacle put on by Senate Democrats. Rather than focusing on persuasive arguments, many Senate Democrats appeared more interested in creating viral moments and making it far more likely that Hegseth will be confirmed.

Next, they discuss the political turmoil in Minnesota, where Republicans hold a slim one-seat majority in the state House of Representatives. Democrats are boycotting the chamber to prevent Republicans from forming committees and advancing their legislative agenda. With a special election approaching, Democrats are accusing the GOP of a “coup” and demanding further delay before any legislative action can take place.

Finally, they shake their heads as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass still doesn’t have a good answer about whether she should have left for Ghana when the warnings for severe wildfire conditions were so high. Jim minces few words about the mayor’s job performance and her very unimpressive public appearances.

Special Counsel Blasts Biden, Kamala’s Unimpressive Exit, Biden’s Bald-Faced Border Lies

January 14, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Special Counsel Blasts Biden, Kamala’s Unimpressive Exit, Biden’s Bald-Faced Border Lies” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Special Counsel Robert Weiss strongly rejecting President Biden’s explanation in the Hunter Biden pardon case, Kamala’s leadership failures during her final days in office, and President Biden’s stunning lies about border security.

After a quick discussion about the start of confirmation hearings for Trump cabinet nominees, Jim and Greg praise Special Counsel Robert Weiss for his strong denunciation of President Biden’s justification for pardoning Hunter Biden. Weiss rejects Biden’s claim that Hunter was unfairly targeted due to his family ties, pointing to the fact that eight judges weighed in on the process. Weiss also says Biden was wrong to “malign the public servants at the Department of Justice.”

Next, they highlight the snub by Harris and Doug Emhoff, who refused to invite Vice President-Elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha, to tour the vice president’s residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory. Additionally, Jim questions Harris’s absence during the wildfire crisis in California – hardly the approach of someone allegedly considering a run for governor.

Finally, they sigh as President Biden blatantly lies again – this time about the border. Biden alleges that illegal border crossings “came way down” as soon as he entered the White House. He also says Republicans killed the legislation that would have provided more “secret service” agents at the border.

Trump & Greenland, Newsom’s PR Campaign, Biden Thinks Kamala Would Have Beaten Trump?

January 13, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump & Greenland, Newsom’s PR Campaign, Biden Thinks Kamala Would Have Beaten Trump?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on the 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Donald Trump’s potential progress on Greenland, Gavin Newsom’s focus on his public image amid a crisis, and President Biden’s confusing comments about Kamala Harris and the 2024 election.

First, they’re interested in what might come next as officials in both Denmark and and Greenland are interested in further talks with the incoming Trump administration. Denmark says it won’t sell Greenland to us but what positives could come out of further negotiations?

Next, Jim takes aim at California Governor Gavin Newsom, criticizing his self-centered approach during the ongoing wildfire crisis. Instead of locked in on the urgent situation at hand, Newsom seems more concerned with his personal image and public relations. Jim also explores how Newsom’s attempt to combat “misinformation” is actually generating more misinformation.

Finally, they scratch their heads after President Biden says Kamala Harris “could have and would have” beaten Donald Trump in the 2024 election. And his efforts to clarify only made things more confusing. Does Biden actually know what’s happened over the past six months?

Trump Sentenced, Newsom’s Failures Exposed, Why DEI Is Destructive

January 10, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Sentenced, Newsom’s Failures Exposed, The Danger of DEI” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they react to Donald Trump’s sentencing in the Stormy Daniels case, Gavin Newsom’s poor preparation and response to California wildfires, and the DEI focus of some Los Angeles Fire Department officials.

First, they discuss Donald Trump’s sentencing following his 2024 convictions in Manhattan, which resulted in an unconditional discharge. While Trump faces no actual penalty, he is now officially a convicted felon—which is what Democrats hopede to achieve with this case.

Next, they turn their attention to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s handling of the recent wildfires. Jim and Greg highlight an encounter where Newsom faced a distraught resident who lost her home and children’s school. The governor’s unimpressive interaction and his even worse policies are on full display and may inflict long-term damage on his political plans.

Finally, they shake their heads at the Los Angeles Fire Department video explaining how having firefighters that look like the residents is a high priority and casually dismissing concerns about whether women firefighters could carry men out of a burning building. However, they are quick to stress that LA firefighters are working tirelessly and with great courage throughout these horrible fires. It’s the leadership that doesn’t always seem to be focused on what matters most.

Mayor Bass Fails Los Angeles, Carter Funeral Intrigue, Biden’s ‘Bonkers’ Election Claim

January 9, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Mayor Bass Fails Los Angeles, Carter Funeral Intrigue, Biden’s ‘Bonkers’ Election Claim” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they reflect on the litany of mistakes made by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in the past week, the early portions of the Carter funeral including some curious interactions among the presidents and vice presidents, and President Biden’s “flat-out bonkers” claim that he would have beaten Donald Trump in the 2024 election if he hadn’t dropped out.

First, Jim takes a deep dive into how Mayor Karen Bass is handling the wildfire crisis in Los Angeles. Despite emerging warnings about wildfire dangers, Bass chose to travel to Ghana and stayed there, even after the situation escalated. Her lack of candor and shaky public appearances since returning have also been painful to watch.

Next, they comment on Jimmy Carter’s funeral – both what was said in the early parts of the service and the fascinating interactions – or lack of interactions – among current and former presidents and vice presidents and their spouses. The Biden-Harris, Trump-Pence, and Trump-Obama exchanges were of particular note.

Finally, Jim and Greg react to President Biden’s stunning claim in a USA Today interview, where he asserted that he would have defeated Donald Trump if he had stayed in the 2024 race. Even CNN dismissed his comments as “flat-out bonkers.” Jim points out how recent events and Biden’s actions over the last four years make it clear that he is not equipped to lead the country.

Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest

January 8, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss hopes rising for the Laken Riley Act to pass the Senate, horror and blame as the California wildfires rage, and Trump’s new ideas for the western hemisphere.

First, they celebrate the passage of the Laken Riley Act in the House, with nearly a dozen more Democrats supporting it than in the past. Now, the focus shifts to the Senate, where seven more Democratic votes are needed to pass the bill. Jim and Greg are encouraged by the bill’s momentum and applaud Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman for speaking candidly to his party about the importance of the legislation.

Next, they dive into the devastating California wildfires, as shocking images and videos emerge from Pacific Palisades and beyond. Jim and Greg discuss the chaos of the situation, including Mayor Karen Bass being out of the country during the first few days of the crisis. They explore the conditions that turned these fires into a nightmare and examine how environmental policies that are meant to help are instead making the problem worse.

Finally, they discuss Donald Trump’s latest press conference and his interest in acquiring Greenland, the Panama Canal, and even Canada. He also proposed renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. Jim and Greg explain what they think Trump is doing and get a kick out of the left once again getting hysterical over everything Trump does.

Zuckerberg’s Free Speech Shift, GOP’s Smart Legislative Start, The Insane UK Rape Scandal

January 7, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Zuckerberg’s Free Speech Shift, GOP’s Smart Legislative Start, The Insane UK Rape Scandal” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s newfound support for free speech, congressional Republicans picking a smart issue to begin their legislative agenda, and the disturbing UK rape gang scandal that has rocked the country for decades.

First, Jim and Greg cautiously explore Meta Chairman and CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s shift on free speech. Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook and his other platforms have been biased in censoring political content. He now promises changes, including Community Notes for controversial posts similar to X. Is this a genuine change of heart, or is Zuckerberg simply adapting to the current political climate?

Next, they applaud Republicans in the House and Senate for kicking off their legislative agenda with the Laken Riley Act, which requires the Department of Homeland Security to arrest (and likely deport) people in the country illegally if they commit crimes like burglary and larceny. It’s also backed by Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman. And since our recording, it passed the House of Representatives.

Finally, Jim and Greg tackle the explosive story of the UK rape gang scandal. They express their outrage over how police, prosecutors, politicians, and the media in Great Britain failed to act swiftly in dealing with allegations of horrific abuse committed by mostly Muslim immigrants against British children. They explain why this issue is making headlines again and why this is a huge problem for the current government in the UK. Parental discretion advised for this topic.

Trudeau Resigning, Biden Honors Soros, Joe’s Ugly Exit

January 6, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trudeau Resigning, Biden Honors Soros, Joe’s Ugly Exit” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s impending resignation, President Biden awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros and other unworthy recipients, and Biden’s final actions to undermine U.S. energy development.

First, they react to Trudeau’s announcement that he will step down as prime minister once his party selects a new leader. Jim breaks down the issues that led to widespread dissatisfaction with Trudeau, many of which may sound familiar. They also discuss what lies ahead for Canada.

Next, they express outrage over President Biden awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros, a man who has spent decades funding efforts to weaken and destabilize America. They also highlight several other questionable recipients who don’t deserve such a prestigious honor.

Finally, they examine more ways that Biden is throwing a tantrum as he winds down his presidency, including his decision to ban offshore drilling off both coasts, parts of the Gulf of Mexico, and a major section of Alaska. Additionally, Biden is enacting new regulations targeting gas-powered water heaters.
