America Pauses to Reflect on 9-11 Losses, Heroes

Time stood still in New York, Washington and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Thursday as America marked seven years since the horrifying terrorist attacks against the U.S.  What did we learn that day?  What has prevented subsequent terrorist attacks?  How do we ensure victory against the enemy?  And is there any bipartisan consensus on any of this?  Share your thoughts and opinions with us!

Polls Say McCain Coming on Strong in Blue States

According to the latest polls from Strategic Vision, the normally blue states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are essentially dead heats.  Why can’t Obama close the deal?  What impact is Gov. Sarah Palin having on the numbers?  And can McCain really win these states or will they swing back to Obama come November?  Tell us what you think!

“End Game” in Iraq, Tough Fight Ahead in Afghanistan

In Congressional testimony on Wednesday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said we have entered the “end game” in Iraq. But Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen said we are losing in Afghanistan but the fight is winnable. Does that mean we have taken our eye off the ball in Afghanistan? Or does it show that we need to employ similar tactics in Afghanistan that have clearly worked in Iraq? Sound off and tell us what you think!

Americans See Economy Improving

Is Kim Jong Il Incapacitated?

State Department sources say that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il suffered a stroke last month and may be severely disabled as a result.  What does this mean in our efforts to rid the regime of nuclear weapons?  Is this an opening into the world’s most closed society or will North Korea become more isolated?  Sound off with your opinion right here!

Bush Calls for Modest Troop Reductions in Iraq

On Tuesday, President Bush praised the success of the surge in Iraq and called for more modest troop withdrawals as a result of the improved security while sharpening his focus on the fight in Afghanistan. Is this a sign that the surge has been an unqualified success or would there be more substantial reductions if the situation were as strong as Bush suggests? Share your thoughts with us!
