Obama Comes Out Swinging

After weeks of Democrats worrying that Barack Obama was unwilling to exchange punches with John McCain, Obama went right after the Republican nominee on Thursday night.  Did this show the mettle that was missing?  Or did Obama come across as another mud-slinging politician?  Share your thoughts on the Obama speech and whether you think it makes him a solid favorite to win in November.

Republicans are Hailin’ Choice of Palin

John McCain shocked just about everyone on Friday when he named first-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.  It’s a choice Republicans love.  Was this just the kind of shake-up McCain need to generate buzz and excitement for his campaign or is gambling on a political novice?  Will she appeal to many of Hillary Clinton’s supporters?  Tell what you think.

Could McCain Really Be Picking Lieberman?

Will Bill Clinton Play Nice?

Hillary Clinton sounded pretty genuine in her endorsement of Barack Obama Tuesday night, but Democratic officials are much more worried about her husband, Former President Bill Clinton.  Clinton is raising eyebrows with a curious comment he made during a speech on Tuesday and the fact he will not be sticking around for Obama’s speech on Thursday.  What do you think?  Will Bill Clinton be a team player or will he simply refuse to mend fences?  Would his lack of support really hurt Obama or just make for some convention drama?

Reading Between Michelle’s Lines

Michelle Obama won rave reviews for her speech Monday night in which she talked about the humble upbringings of both her and her husband.  But while Mrs. Obama seemed to stay away from the type of controversy that put her in the spotlight during the primaries, some of her speech is now raising eyebrows.  Is it possible the hopeful vision she cast for America was really a repackaging of views from political radical Saul Alinsky?

Number of Uninsured Americans Declines
