1/6 Commission Drama, Inflation Rises Again, Bernie’s Big Demands

May 28, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “1/6 Commission Drama, Inflation Rises Again, Bernie’s Big Demands” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dissect the Democrats’ push for a commission to investigate the Capitol riot on January 6 and point out that the 9/11 commission was not the success that Democrats are now pretending it was. They also groan at another report showing the biggest jump in inflation since 1992. And they get a kick out of a new book on the 2020 campaign pointing out the very particular conditions that Bernie Sanders insisted upon while on the road.

Calling Out Insane Spending, Who’s Really Coming to the Border? Politics of COVID Origins

May 27, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Calling Out Insane Spending, Who’s Really Coming to the Border? Politics of COVID Origins” on Spreaker.

Jim and Greg cheer Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson for calling out the massive amount of deficit spending since the pandemic, how we don’t need the trillions more being pushed in Biden’s agenda, and how runaway inflation is a real danger.  He’s right, but will people listen after Republicans spent big when they had control?  They also react to a new report showing more than 33,000 people came to our southern border last month who were not from Central American countries.  And they shake their heads as NIH officials admit to Congress that the Biden administration never consulted with them before shutting down a State Department probe into the origins of the COVID pandemic.

Wuhan Lab Whiplash, Taliban’s Troubling Talk, Newsom’s Big Rebound

May 26, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Wuhan Lab Whiplash, Taliban’s Troubling Talk, Newsom’s Big Rebound” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they examine the political and media left now treating the Wuhan lab leak theory seriously after a year of calling such talk a baseless conspiracy, and even the Biden administration is joining the chorus. They also sigh as the Taliban threatens it’s neighbors not to host any military bases for U.S. forces following our withdrawal from Afghanistan this year. And they they’re stunned that California voters not only oppose recalling Gov. Gavin Newsom but strongly support his handling of the pandemic.

Biden’s Ticking Clock, Cena’s China Apology, Greene’s Nazi Analogy

May 25, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Biden’s Ticking Clock, Cena’s China Apology, Greene’s Nazi Analogy” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that Senate Democrats are running out of time – and don’t have the votes – to pass major priorities on the left. They also groan at actor John Cena’s nauseating apology to China, for simply referring to Taiwan as a country during an interview promoting his new movie. And they shake their heads as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likens a grocery store chain identifying employees who have been vaccinated to the Nazis forcing Jews to wear yellow stars.

Shoplifting Softies, State-Sanctioned Hijacking, Four More for Cuomo?

May 24, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Shoplifting Softies, State-Sanctioned Hijacking, Four More for Cuomo?” on Spreaker.

Greg is back but the good news is scarce! Jim and Greg shake their heads as more figures on the left condemn punishment for shoplifters, describing it as “criminalizing poverty.” They also condemn Belarus for concocting a bomb threat to force a civilian airliner to land so they it could arrest a passenger who had written negatively about its government. And they sigh as New York voters seem prepared to re-elect Andrew Cuomo and a majority of Democrats seem perfectly happy to give him another four years.

Wuhan Lab Theory, More Than A Protest, The Brothers Cuomo

May 21, 2021 by GregC

Jim Geraghty is Joined by Radio America’s Rich McFadden for today’s martinis. The Good: As consensus among public health authorities has declined, PolitiFact issues a correction to their “PANTS ON FIRE” rating regarding the claim that the “the coronavirus was derived from a lab.”

The Bad: Some straight-up Jew-targeting violence on the streets of LA and NYC. As Noam Blum observes, once you’re attacking people and throwing firecrackers at people, you’re not really a “protester” anymore.

The Crazy: CNN issues a statement saying that Chris Cuomo advising his brother Andrew on conference calls, strategizing how to respond to sexual harassment allegations was “inappropriate.”

Cuomo’s administration granted special access to rapid coronavirus test results for the governor’s family and other influential people. The celebration continues with round two as Jim and Chad toast to the news that newly reported coronavirus cases have reached the lowest seven-day moving average since June 21 of last year! Back To School, Is It A Surge? Was It The Lab?

May 18, 2021 by GregC

Jim and Chad begin their lunch with a celebratory toast to the news that children in New Jersey will be back in school full time for the 2021-2022 school year. Confusion sets in with their second round, however, as they discuss the AP’s decision not to call what’s happening at the border a “surge.” With their last round of the day they analyze the waning taboo about discussing the possibility that SARS-CoV-2 may have originated in a Chinese lab.
