Masks Off, China’s New Taiwan Threat, Pennsylvania Rerun?

March 7, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Masks Off, China’s New Taiwan Threat, Pennsylvania Rerun?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three crazy martinis! First, they note New York City Mayor Eric Adams demanding that people remove their masks before entering stores. It’s an effort to identify shoplifters and looters, which is good, but it wasn’t long ago that that you couldn’t do much of anything in the Big Apple unless you were masked up. They also shake their heads as China makes another overt threat towards Taiwan, mentioning a blacklist of Taiwanese figures to kill during the coming invasion. Finally, there’s less than thrilled that the Republican who lost the Pennsylvania governor’s race last year is thinking about running for U.S. Senate next year.

Why Gas Prices Are Down, Businesses Bailing on Taiwan? Maloney’s Mea Culpa

August 4, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Why Gas Prices Are Down, Businesses Bailing on Taiwan? Maloney's Mea Culpa” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dig into reports that plummeting demand – and not President Biden – are responsible for falling gas prices. They also sigh as businesses of all sizes are making plans to flee Taiwan if the China invades. And they get a kick out of New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney saying she didn’t expect President Biden to run again in 2024 and then gushing over him with praise when she apologizes.

Pelosi vs. China, Krugman’s Media Delusion, Watson’s Suspension

August 1, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Pelosi vs. China, Krugman’s Media Delusion, Watson’s Suspension” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they wade into the rare territory of giving credit to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for planning to visit Taiwan in the face of Chinese threats against her. Sadly, President Biden has once again displayed his default position of weakness on this issue as well. They also rip Paul Krugman for trying to claim that the economy is actually really strong and that people think their own financial situation is fine but the media keeps convincing everyone things are bad. And they dissect the six-game suspension for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson after two dozen women accused him of sexual harassment or worse but no criminal charges were filed.

Boris Johnson Resigns, Biden’s ‘Strategic’ Blunder, China’s Troubling Plans

July 7, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Boris Johnson Resigns, Biden’s ‘Strategic’ Blunder, China’s Troubling Plans” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three bad martinis but still manage to have fun with them. First, they discuss the resignation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, what he did and did not accomplish while in office, and where he stacks up on the list of recent prime ministers. They also fume over reports that President Biden shipped five million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to countries in Europe and Asia. And they break down reports that China is already taking steps to invade Taiwan and meddle in U.S. elections.

Hillary’s ‘Russian Collusion’ Role, Blackouts Are Coming, Biden vs. Biden Policy

May 23, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Hillary’s ‘Russian Collusion’ Role, Blackouts Are Coming, Biden vs. Biden Policy” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dissect the importance of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager admitting under oath that Hillary was fine with the campaign disseminating unproven allegations about Trump and Alfa Bank to the media. And after breathless collusion coverage for years, the media seem very uninterested in this revelation. They also cringe as residents in at least 14 states are being told to expect blackouts because supply cannot keep up with demand – while dozens of coal-fired power plants are being taken offline with no good plan to pick up the energy production load. And they react to the Biden administration correcting President Biden on his own policies again – this time over we would respond militarily to defend Taiwan.

Surprising Economic Growth, China Watches U.S. on Ukraine, Kamala for the High Court?

January 27, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Surprising Economic Growth, China Watches U.S. on Ukraine, Kamala for the High Court?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they interpret better than expected economic growth from the fourth quarter of 2021. They discuss how US action on Ukraine will impact how a rising China views Taiwan. And they examine why some Democrats are enticed by the possibility of Vice President Harris being nominated to the Supreme Court.

Senate Dems Still Stuck, Biden’s Stunning Cowardice, Wallace Heads to CNN

December 13, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Senate Dems Still Stuck, Biden’s Stunning Cowardice, Wallace Heads to CNN” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that it looks rather unlikely that the Senate Democrats will be able to pass a version of the Build Back Better legislation by it’s self-imposed Christmas deadline. They also unload on the Biden administration after it cut the video feed of a presentation by a Taiwanese official who offered a presentation showing Taiwan as a different color than China on the map. And they react to Chris Wallace bolting Fox News for CNN while offering a modest suggestion for his replacement.

Defying Beijing, No Gov. McConaughey, WHO Bows to Xi

November 29, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Defying Beijing, No Gov. McConaughey, WHO Bows to Xi” on Spreaker.

Jim and Greg cheer the bipartisan congressional delegation that defied Chinese demands not to visit Taiwan. They also react to the news that actor Matthew McConaughey will not run for governor in Texas. And they groan as the World Health Organization skips a letter of the Greek alphabet in naming the new COVID variant so it would not offend China.

Taiwan Stands Firm, FBI Enters the School Board Wars, Fauci’s Latest Flip-Flops

October 5, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Taiwan Stands Firm, FBI Enters the School Board Wars, Fauci’s Latest Flip-Flops” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer on the resolve of Taiwan’s president and people in the face of growing Chinese threats. They also have questions as Attorney General Merrick Garland announces the FBI will start investigating alleged threats made against school officials in highly charged debates around the country. And they sigh as Dr. Fauci gives contradictory answers on whether he recommends people visit with family over the holidays and the CDC comes out with absurd guidelines for celebrating Thanksgiving.

Public Sours on Biden Agenda, China Targets Taiwan, Invading Sinema’s Space

October 4, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Public Sours on Biden Agenda, China Targets Taiwan, Invading Sinema’s Space” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a new poll showing Americans are far more negative towards President Biden’s big government spending binge once they know tax hikes would be part of it. They also cringe as China repeatedly threatens Taiwan by sending dozens of fighters and bombers over the island. And they discuss the leftist activists who chased Sen. Sinema into the bathroom to air their political grievances with her and how the activists are receiving virtually no condemnation in the media or elsewhere on the left.
