Adams will face no jail time and even gets to keep his government job.  Jim notes the frustration of local police and the damage done when intentionally criminal behavior is swept under the rug due to politics.

Then, they dive into the allegations against outgoing World Economic Forum leader Klaus Schwab and his wife, who are accused of stealing substantial funds from the WEF and taking over a luxury property owned by the organization during COVID lockdowns.

First, they’re pleased to see Nadine Menendez found guilty on all 15 counts tied to a bribery scheme involving her husband, the Egyptian government, and over $100,000 in gold bars, cash, and other luxury gifts. Now Mr. and Mrs. Menendez have matching bracelets. Jim blasts the media for largely ignoring the case—arguing that if Bob Menendez were a Republican, this scandal would dominate headlines daily. They also wonder whether Bob Menendez’s begging for a pardon will actually convince President Trump to give him one.

Next, they react to alarming reports that a Chinese government-linked company is assisting the Iran-backed Houthis in targeting U.S. warships and other American vessels in the Red Sea. Jim calls it another front in a proxy war with China and was forced to find foreign press accounts to evaluate the effectiveness of recent U.S. airstrikes.

Finally, they look at House Republicans urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to charge Andrew Cuomo with lying under oath. Despite this and a $450,000 taxpayer-funded settlement to a sexual harassment victim, Cuomo continues to lead the NYC mayoral race by a wide margin.

El-Sayed is known for supporting government-controlled health care, taxpayer-funded college (dubbed “free” college by the left), and for his hostility toward Israel. But Scot cautions that El-Sayed is an articulate speaker, boasts a successful medical background, and could receive glowing media coverage similar to Barack Obama back in 2004.

Finally, they call out CNN’s Jake Tapper for heaping excessive praise on George Clooney’s “brave” letter to the New York Times editor urging Democrats to replace Joe Biden after last year’s debate. Scot and Greg see it as a transparent effort by the media and left-wing elites to rewrite history and pretend it was impossible to know about Biden’s cognitive decline before the debate.

First, they highlight Harvard’s response to having more than $2 billion in federal grants frozen for refusing to comply with Trump administration orders targeting antisemitism and more. Andy questions why a wealthy institution like Harvard relies on taxpayer dollars at all, but also warns against government overreach—regardless of party. Meanwhile, Greg notes the irony of Harvard objecting to federal pressure when the left regularly uses it to punish conservative schools and organizations.

Next, they examine the legal fight surrounding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant deported to El Salvador and now imprisoned there. A federal judge has ruled that Garcia must be returned to the U.S. due to a violation of his due process rights. Andy explains why the court is legally correct and critiques the White House’s arguments on the issue. Greg questions why the U.S. government makes it so easy for people to enter illegally but so difficult to remove them. Andy points to the man he says is responsible for this mess.

Finally, they dissect a Washington Post analysis revealing that many “green” home retrofits don’t produce energy savings for years—or even decades. Andy argues this underscores how the environmental left’s agenda is filled with economic and environmental contradictions. He also points out that some of these so-called green initiatives are actually terrible for the environment in many ways.

Finally, they assess Taylor Lorenz gushing over alleged murderer Luigi Mangione to a CNN reporter. From Lorenz calling Mangione a morally good person to CNN’s reporter giggling along with her explanation of why some women are enamored with Mangione, Andy explains why this spectacle is a bad sign for our society and highlights how some elements on the left are far too comfortable with political violence.

Jimmy Carter’s Political Legacy

On Sunday, former President Jimmy Carter died at age 100. He lived longer than any president and had the longest post-presidential life by far. Carter was a one-term president from 1977-1981. After surprising many by winning the Democratic nomination in 1976, he defeated President Gerald Ford in the general election. However, Carter suffered a resounding defeat in his bid for re-election. In 1980, he lost 44 states to Ronald Reagan, and Reagan won the Electoral College 489-49.

As events soon begin to commemorate Carter’s life and public service, Jim and Greg offer what they see as a fair but honest assessment of Carter, particularly during his time in the Oval Office.

First, they highlight Carter’s military service and his impressive victory as a dark horse candidate in 1976. They also discuss what they see as Carter’s successes in the White House—both foreign and domestic—along with some notable achievements through the Carter Center after leaving office. They also applaud his example as a husband during his 77-year marriage to former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

However, the Carter presidency overall was not a success. Jim and Greg walk through Carter’s failure to ward off the rise of a radical Islamist government in Iran, which then took dozens of Americans hostage for the next 14 and a half months and has fomented mayhem in the Middle East and beyond ever since. They also assess his weak approach to the communist threat in Central America and Afghanistan. Domestically, he oversaw a very rough economy, and Americans of a certain age will certainly remember gas lines and the energy crisis among other serious challenges.

Finally, they look at his 44 years after leaving the presidency, from his work building homes for the needy to remaining very active in international affairs. But while he was convinced he was right, Carter’s efforts sometimes created headaches for future administrations.

First, they discuss how Davi got involved in the Reagan movie project nine years ago and how he deeply researched his role as former Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. Davi also explains why he wanted to be part of the film, how Reagan fought communism in Hollywood and more.

Next, Davi shares what it’s like to be a conservative in Hollywood and how becoming more publicly supportive of conservatives and Republicans curiously coincided with a sudden decrease in opportunities to act and direct. He also takes us inside his recent film, My Son Hunter about Hunter Biden, the approach he took to directing it, and why many people discovered the film was far different than they expected it to be.

Finally, they spotlight Davi’s very memorable role in Die Hard and why the film endures more than most action movies. And you will not want to miss Davi’s hilarious story about watching the film for the first time alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger – complete with his perfect impression of Arnold.
