DeSantis Right on Crime, Western Water Woes, Flunking Constitution 101

January 27, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “DeSantis Right on Crime, Western Water Woes, Flunking Constitution 101” on Spreaker.

After having fun with the Associated Press war on “the,” Jim & Greg applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for a 50-year low on crime and aggressive proposals to crack down on child predators and and fentanyl pushers. Jim also walks us through the major water dilemma facing western states and why government intervention is not inspiring a lot of confidence. And they shake their heads as a Biden judicial nominee can’t explain the subject of Article V or Article II of the Constitution.

Afghanistan Accountability, U.S. Arsenal Vanishing, Lightfoot’s Crime ‘Solution’

January 24, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Afghanistan Accountability, U.S. Arsenal Vanishing, Lightfoot’s Crime ‘Solution'” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul’s vow to get answers on the Biden administration’s debacle in Afghanistan. McCaul says the administration has been stonewalling on providing documents on how U.S. intelligence was so wrong on the advance of the Taliban, the deadly attack on U.S. service members outside the Kabul airport, and much more. They also shudder as a new report shows the U.S. is dangerously deficient in producing new weapons to replace the many munitions we’re sending over to Ukraine. In other words, if the U.S. got involved in sustained military action, we could run out of key weapons in less than a week. Finally, they shake their heads as Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s solution to the wave of street vendor robberies is to tell them not to conduct business in cash.

Speaker Wars, Feds Suppressing Speech, DeSantis Shines

January 4, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Speaker Wars, Feds Suppressing Speech, DeSantis Shines” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they weigh in the second day of House Republicans at odds over whether Kevin McCarthy should be Speaker of the House. What is the end game of the McCarthy opponents? Will they force a more conservative speaker or will we get one that’s worse? They also thank Elon Musk and Matt Taibbi for exposing more details of how the FBI and other government entities aggressively pushed Twitter to suspend many accounts from 2017 forward. Are we not at a clear First Amendment issue on this story? And they applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his inaugural address that articulates a conservative vision on many issues quite well.

Left’s Musk Meltdown, Biden’s Gas Price Lie, Bennet’s Vindication

October 28, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Left’s Musk Meltdown, Biden’s Gas Price Lie, Bennet’s Vindication” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they pop the popcorn and enjoy the left melting down on Twitter over the news that Elon Musk is officially running Twitter now. They also call out President Biden for the bald-faced lie that gas prices were above five dollars per gallon when he took office. And they give credit to the Washington Post for saying James Bennet was right in his standoff with the editorial department mob at the New York Times over an op-ed by Sen. Tom Cotton back in 2020.

Grilling the Governor, Inflation Worse Than Expected, Politico’s Putin Stunt

October 13, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Grilling the Governor, Inflation Worse Than Expected, Politico’s Putin Stunt” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud the direct and devastating attack from GOP New Mexico gubernatorial candidate Mark Ronchetti, as he blasted Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for grabbing the crotch of a male staffer, claiming she did nothing wrong, but also paying the staffer $150,000 to settle the complaint while forbidding the staffer from discussing the matter publicly. Ronchetti was also very effective at calling out the governor for imposing lockdowns she violated on numerous occasions. They also cringe over the latest consumer inflation numbers that come in worse than expected and prove higher prices aren’t going anywhere for awhile. Finally, they slam Politico Europe for naming Vladimir Putin as their top “green” figure because ending dependence upon Russian energy will force a revolution in renewables – ignoring the reality of people freezing to death and facing astronomical energy costs.

Inflation Sticking Around, The Media’s Fetterman Facade, Questionable Quinnipiac Polls

October 12, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Inflation Sticking Around, The Media’s Fetterman Facade, Questionable Quinnipiac Polls” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they wince over the larger-than-expected jump in the Producer Price Index in September and brace for the consumer inflation numbers tomorrow. They also discuss Jim’s in-depth reporting on Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman and the media that have coddled him for many years. And they shake their heads as the Quinnipiac Poll, which was spectacularly wrong at times in 2020, shows not only Sen. Warnock growing his lead over Herschel Walker but Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams in an alleged dead heat in the governor’s race.

Pay Pal’s Power Grab, New York’s Crime Nightmare, Arizona’s Really Weak Democrat

October 10, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Pay Pal’s Power Grab, New York’s Crime Nightmare, Arizona’s Really Weak Democrat” on Spreaker.

Three crazy martinis today as Rob Long fills in for Jim Geraghty. After Rob explains why he loves holidays in New York City, he and Greg discuss Pay Pal’s insane plan to secretly fine customer’s $2500 for social media posts it deems “disinformation” or “hate,” which nowadays means any statement the left doesn’t like. Rob shreds Pay Pal’s absurd statement in response to the controversy and explains how this may lead to action in Congress. They also highlight the rampant crime in New York City, and Rob shares how this era is different than the crime waves the city endured decades ago. They also point how how New York Mayor Eric Adams is too busy giving a lucrative job to a friend’s wife to match the one is own girlfriend got from that friend. Finally, they marvel at just how bad of a candidate Arizona Democrat Katie Hobbs is, butchering a simple question about Latinos during her campaign for governor.

GOP Plans China Focus, Trafalgar’s Bold Theory, Twitter’s ‘Fact-Checking’

October 6, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “GOP Plans China Focus, Trafalgar’s Bold Theory, Twitter’s ‘Fact-Checking'” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer House Republicans for planning to shine a bright spotlight on China’s many atrocities at home and abroad – from pushing fentanyl into the U.S. to supply chain vulnerability to the persecution of the Uighurs. They also discuss the unique polling approach of the Trafalgar surveys and what it will mean if Republican voters are even more reticent to say who they support but are more determined than ever to vote. And they sigh as Twitter promises ramped-up “fact-checking” that will ramp up before the midterms.

GOP’s Senate Momentum, Army’s Dismal Recruiting, OPEC’s Possible Price Hike

October 3, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “GOP’s Senate Momentum, Army’s Dismal Recruiting, OPEC’s Possible Price Hike” on Spreaker.

Jim is back! Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the Axios assessment that Republicans seem to have momentum in the battle for the U.S. Senate thanks to shifts in a couple key races. They’re also concerned as the U.S. Army reports it fell 15,000 soldiers short of it’s recruiting goal in Fiscal Year 2022. That’s 25 percent below the target and the other branches posted disappointing numbers too. And they shudder as more and more signs point to gas prices rising again soon, including OPEC threatening significant production cuts.

Jim and Greg also reflect back to the D.C. snipers, whose killing spree began 20 years ago today and claimed the lives of 10 innocent people in the area.

Voters & the Border Crisis, Political Murder Ignored, Abrams’ Abortion Ignorance

September 22, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Voters & the Border Crisis, Political Murder Ignored, Abrams’ Abortion Ignorance” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome evidence that Americans are very focused on the border crisis and crime after widespread coverage of GOP governors sending migrants from our overwhelmed border to self-proclaimed sanctuary cities. They also call out the immense media hypocrisy as the national outlets largely ignore a man fatally running over a teenager in North Dakota because he was allegedly part of an “extremist” group. And they rip Stacey Abrams for insisting that there is no fetal heartbeat after six weeks of pregnancy and that ultrasounds are tools used by men for control women’s bodies.
