Media’s Border Malpractice, Dissecting the GOP Debate, Where’s Gov. Hobbs?

September 28, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Media’s Border Malpractice, Dissecting the GOP Debate, Where’s Gov. Hobbs?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for debate reaction and a whole lot more today. Before serving up the martinis, they’re glad to see the U.S. Senate unanimously returning to the previous dress code expected on the Senate floor. Then, they cheer Alabama Sen. Katie Britt for calling out the media for their lack of interest in the horrific reality faced by countless women and children as they illegally come to America. From repeated rapes to drownings to staying indebted to the cartels after arriving, Sen. Britt says it’s a far cry from the American Dream. Then they dissect the second GOP debate held Wednesday night at the Reagan Library in California – from the strongest moments to the chaotic crosstalk to some extremely lame jokes. Finally, they express frustration as Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs hands over power for a few hours but never tells the public why she’s doing it.

Debate Aftermath, ‘People Need to Go to Jail,’ California GOP’s Surrender

August 24, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Debate Aftermath, ‘People Need to Go to Jail,’ California GOP’s Surrender” on Spreaker.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women’s Forum and host of the “High Noon” podcast is in for Jim. Today, Inez and Greg break down the first GOP debate. Who did well? Who struggled? And did anything happen to dent Trump’s big lead? They also discuss the potentially criminal incompetence of officials in Maui that contributed to deaths of as many as 1,000 people and destroyed Lahaina. Inez lays out an infuriating series of bureaucratic insanity that wasted time and prioritized woke goals over people’s lives. Finally, they shake their heads as the California Republican Party voluntarily surrenders on a multitude of issues – and not just the cultural positions that are unpopular in the state but on several key issues where the public agrees with the longstanding GOP platform.

Timestamps:

0:45 – Analysis of the first GOP presidential debate, focusing on DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Haley, and Pence.

10:51 – Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson

14:46 – Inez lists a multitude of ways that incompetence among officials in Maui cost many lives and argues there should be a full investigation and probably serious prosecution over the many inexcusable mistakes.

22:39 – The California Republican Party surrenders on many key issues, including positions that had been popular statewide

The Truth of Bidenomics, DOJ’s Pro-Biden Corruption, Trump’s Clever Strategy

August 22, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “The Truth of Bidenomics, DOJ’s Pro-Biden Corruption, Trump’s Clever Strategy” on Spreaker.

Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney and National Review Contributing Editor Andy McCarthy is in for Jim. After Andy and Greg explain where Jim is this week, they highlight the cold hard facts of the impact “Bidenomics” is having on American families – everything is much more expensive and the president wants you to grateful for it. Andy also breaks down the latest revelations in pathetic prosecution of Hunter Biden after emails from Biden defense lawyers show Biden was going to avoid prosecution altogether until the IRS whistleblowers went public. Oh, and they want the whistleblowers prosecuted. Finally, they marvel at how Donald Trump will totally overshadow the Wednesday debate he is skipping because his booking on Thursday will smother coverage of any big moments on the debate stage.

Timestamps:

0:18 – Explaining where Jim Geraghty is

1:54 – Rep. Burgess explains just how expensive “Bidenomics” is for American families

9:07 – Emails from Hunter Biden’s legal team show federal prosecutors had no intention of filing any charges until the IRS whistleblowers came forward.

20:16 – Trump will completely overshadow Wednesday’s debate with his booking on Thursday and likely increase his lead in the primaries.

GOP’s Economic Opportunity, Gutter Politics, Burgum’s Smart Bet

July 25, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “GOP’s Economic Opportunity, Gutter Politics, Burgum’s Smart Bet” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for another full round of martinis! After noting the White House changing its explanation of Joe’s relationship to Hunter’s business ventures, they’re excited to see polling that shows Americans are far more concerned with the economy than anything else. Does any GOP hopeful have a plan to deal effectively with the inflation brought on by rampant government spending? They also shudder as many on social media express their disappointment that Gov. Ron DeSantis was not injured during a motorcade accident this morning in Tennessee. Finally, they note North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum qualified for the first GOP presidential debate and the unique way in which he accomplished it.

Timestamps:

0:19 – White House no longer says Pres. Biden & Hunter never talked business. Now they state they were never in business together.
2:03 – Biden wants to own this economy and Americans are overwhelmingly concerned about the economy. Can the GOP take advantage of this golden opportunity?
7:34 – People upset that DeSantis was not injured in motorcade accident
12:58 – Burgum qualifies for the GOP debate after a creative fundraising strategy.

Fetterman Will Debate, Biden’s Energy Lies, Ugliness Towards the Queen

September 9, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Fetterman Will Debate, Biden’s Energy Lies, Ugliness Towards the Queen” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that Democrat John Fetterman will take part in a U.S. Senate debate after the media started questioning his fitness as a candidate and a possible senator. But will the late date of the debate help to protect Fetterman from a rough performance?  They also hammer President Biden over his false promise to do everything possible to bring down gas prices, after the Wall Street Journal reports this administration approved the fewest acres for drilling in almost 80 years and 97 percent less land than almost every president since the end of World War II. And they discuss the disturbingly hateful reactions to Queen Elizabeth II’s death, including a Carnegie Mellon professor who wished her “excruciating pain.”

Much Better Debate, Biden’s Many Lies, Libs & Coyotes

October 23, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Much Better Debate, Biden’s Many Lies, Libs & Coyotes” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss how the final debate was much more pleasant to watch and far more substantive than the first one. They also dissect Joe Biden’s many lies in the debate – from saying he never promised to ban fracking to suggesting that the Hunter Biden laptop story is just Russian disinformation to inexplicably contending no one lost their private health insurance plans because of Obamacare. And they appreciate many lefties revealing just how little they know about immigration policy by misunderstanding and mocking Trump’s reference to “coyotes” smuggling kids across the border.

Pence’s Strong Night, Media Excuses for Harris, Trump Rejects Virtual Debate

October 8, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Pence’s Strong Night, Media Excuses for Harris, Trump Rejects Virtual Debate” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer Mike Pence for a solid debate and putting Kamala Harris on defense over court packing, the economy, the Green New Deal, fracking and more. They also discuss how Harris once again showed she is overrated as a debater and how the media tried to change the discussion after the debate to how Harris was somehow at a disadvantage because she’s a woman. And they serve up a double shot of crazy as the Commission on Presidential Debates announces next week’s debate will be virtual and President Trump immediately rejects the idea.

Dissecting the Debate

September 30, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Dissecting the Debate” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dig into what we witnessed in the first presidential debate on Tuesday. They discuss the constant crosstalk and why Trump would have been smarter to let Biden tangle himself in his own incomprehensible rhetoric. They also detail how both candidates handled the urban violence issue and Biden’s insistence on refusing to have an opinion on adding justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Fight Night in Cleveland, Election Incompetence, Harris & Court Packing

September 29, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Fight Night in Cleveland, Election Incompetence, Harris & Court Packing” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they mix serious and lighthearted analysis of Tuesday’s first presidential debate.  They also hammer election officials around the country for consistently making easily avoidable mistakes with absentee ballots that will only fuel mistrust in the process.  And they slam Kamala Harris for dodging whether she and Biden would embrace court packing, and her response is even more pathetic than Biden’s.
