Menendez Indicted, McCormick’s Clear Path, Bipartisan Dress Code Demands

September 22, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Menendez Indicted, McCormick’s Clear Path, Bipartisan Dress Code Demands” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis related to the U.S. Senate. First, they welcome the pursuit of justice in what appears to be a lot of evidence against New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife on bribery and other accusations. They’re also glad to see Pennsylvania Republicans seemingly uniting around David McCormick in the tough fight to unseat incumbent Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. next year. Finally, they’re pleased that some prominent Democrats are joining most Republicans in demanding that Majority Leader Chuck Schumer reinstate the dress code on the Senate floor.

Dems Face Migrant Reality, GOP’s Avoidable Losses, Gold Bar Bribery?

September 21, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Dems See Migrant Reality, GOP’s Avoidable Losses, Gold Bar Bribery?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Democrats like New York Gov. Kathy Hochul acknowledging that cities and states cannot just accept an unlimited number of illegal immigrants – the same position Republicans were savaged for just a few years ago. They also wince as Republicans lose two very winnable seats in key state legislative races, but they hope other Republicans around the nation learn some important lessons from these defeats. Finally, they’re stunned and more than a bit amused by the news that New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez is under investigation for being paid $400,000 in gold bars to intervene on someone’s behalf at the Justice Department.

Lefty Donors Dwindling, Plastic Bottle Ban, Senate Doesn’t Suit Fetterman

September 20, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Lefty Donors Dwindling, Plastic Bottle Ban, Senate Doesn’t Suit Fetterman” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up a good martini and two crazy ones. First, they welcome the news that numerous far left organizations are folding or downsizing because their donations are drying up significantly. They also roll their eyes as Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey announces her government will no longer purchase single-use plastic bottles. Finally, Jim takes a close look at Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman and wonders whether he really wants to be in the Senate.

F-35 Found, Government-Run Grocers, Protecting RFK Jr.

September 19, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “F-35 Found, Government-Run Grocers, Protecting RFK Jr.” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they’re glad to hear that the debris of the missing U.S. Marine Corps F-35 stealth fighter jet have been found, but they’re a bit curious about another order from the Corps. They also roll their eyes as Chicago political leaders refuse to prosecute criminals and protect businesses and instead make plans to open a government-run grocery store. Finally, Jim blasts the Biden administration for refusing Secret Service protection for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., even after a man was caught impersonating a U.S. Marshal while armed and trying to get close to Kennedy.

Hunter’s Irony-Clad Case, Biden’s Middle East Mess, Stealth F-35 Gone Missing

September 18, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Hunter’s Irony-Clad Case, Biden’s Middle East Mess, Stealth F-35 Gone Missing” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they consider the unintended consequences of Hunter Biden’s suit against the IRS, alleging the whistleblowers on his case violated his privacy. He seems to be grasping for straws but could he actually end up strengthening protections for the rest of us against the IRS? They’re also disgusted as Iran follows up last week’s embarrassing Biden administration concessions by kicking a bunch of United Nations weapons inspectors out of the country and Saudi Arabia tells the U.S. is is ending consideration of normalizing relations with Israel. Finally, they’re thankful the pilot is safe and have some fun with the U.S. military asking the public to find a missing stealth F-35.

Hunter’s Felony Charges, UAW Strikes, Trump Interview Normalizes Fascism?

September 15, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Hunter’s Felony Charges, UAW Strikes, Trump Interview Normalizes Fascism?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to Special Counsel David Weiss announcing three felony indictments against Hunter Biden on gun crimes. What will happen next? They also keep a close eye on United Auto Workers members walking off the job against General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis (formerly Fiat-Chrysler). What does this say about the confidence of organized labor? And is the Biden administration on a collision course between labor unions and the green agenda? Finally, Jim unloads on lefty media critcism of new “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker interviewing Donald Trump, with one saying it helped “normalize fascism.”

Romney Not Running, Inflation Goes Higher, Vivek & TikTok

September 14, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Romney Not Running, Inflation Goes Higher, Vivek & TikTok” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Utah Sen. Mitt Romney recognizing that if your next term will take you into your mid-80s that it’s time to retire. They also look at the good and the bad of Romney’s time in the Senate and remember key moments and factors in his 2012 presidential loss to Barack Obama. They also shudder as inflation rises more than expected in August and how the average American family is getting pummeled by the cost of everything these days. Finally, Jim calls out Vivek Ramaswamy for changing his mind and joining the Chinese spyware known as TikTok because a prominent social media influencer told him to.

Dem AG vs. Dem Governor, House Impeachment Inquiry, Wall Street & China

September 13, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Dem AG vs. Dem Governor, House Impeachment Inquiry, Wall Street & China” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez, a Democrat, is refusing to defend Gov. Michelle Lujan-Grisham’s unconstitutional “health emergency” that forbids carrying guns in public for 30 days. They also react to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy calling for the launch of a formal impeachment inquiry against President Biden. They explain how the effort is warranted given the growing evidence but Jim argues that the current investigations would likely be more impactful than a formal inquiry. And they dive into what this decision and timing say about McCarthy and his grip on power. Finally, they applaud the House Select Committee on the CCP for taking Wall Street entities to task for investing in Chinese firms that present a direct threat to U.S. national security and human rights. The committee is working in strong bipartisan fashion, but will anything concrete and enforceable come out of all this work?

New Mexico Sheriff Stands Strong, Biden’s Weak 9/11, Granholm’s EV Adventure

September 12, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “New Mexico Sheriff Stands Strong, Biden’s Weak 9/11, Granholm’s EV Adventure” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for three more powerful martinis today. After chronicling Jim’s emotional roller coaster of watching his Jets lose Aaron Rodgers within four snaps and still find a way to win the game, they cheer Bernalillo County New Mexico Sheriff John Allen for calmly explaining that he will not follow Gov. Lujan-Grisham’s emergency order removing open and concealed carry rights because it is unconstitutional, does not help public safety, and only impacts law-abiding people. They also groan as Biden fails to show up to any of the 9/11 sites yesterday, lies about going to Ground Zero the day after the attacks, and then cuts a sweetheart deal giving prisoners and $6 billion in cash to Iran in exchange for American prisoners. Finally, they get a kick out of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm embarking on an EV trip from Charlotte to Memphis to prove electric vehicles are great for road trips. But that’s not what the trip ended up proving.

No 9/11 Death Penalty? Anti-Gun Governor & the Constitution, Gov. Youngkin’s Pardon

September 11, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “No 9/11 Death Penalty? Anti-Gun Governor & the Constitution, Gov. Youngkin’s Pardon” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they reflect upon 22 years since the horrific 9/11 attacks that significantly changed our nation in so many ways. They then tackle the first frustrating piece of news – that military prosecutors are seriously considering removing the death penalty as a possibility for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his co-conspirators held at Guantanamo Bay. Jim then launches a legendary scolding of New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for brazenly violating the Constitution and unilaterally suspending the rights of citizens in her state to open or concealed carry guns. They also cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for pardoning the Loudoun County dad who was arrested for disrupting a school board meeting after his daughter was sexually assaulted by a male identifying as a female while in school and school leaders lied to him about it and repeatedly tried to cover it up. Finally, they end on the lighter side, as Greg reflects on a horrible performance by his Chicago Bears and Jim deals with the strange feeling of high expectations for his New York Jets.
