Special Election Stress, More Signal Messages Revealed, How Biden’s Team Muzzled Media

March 26, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Special Election Stress, More Signal Messages Revealed, How Biden's Team Muzzled Media” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they analyze Republican special election losses and fears there could be more, the latest revelations on the Signal controversy, and the Biden press team’s heavy-handed control over the media.

First, they break down GOP defeats for the state house and state senate in Pennsylvania, including one which Republicans should have won easily. They also highlight the high-stakes Wisconsin Supreme Court race, where Democratic turnout appears to be stronger. Plus, they note additional concerns over an upcoming Florida House race. But Jim says the good news is that the GOP still has time to recover in both Wisconsin and Florida.

Next, they dive into The Atlantic’s publication of Signal messages from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, revealing details about planned U.S. military actions against the Houthis. National Security Adviser Michael Waltz downplayed the report by noting critical details that were not included in Hegseth’s comments. So where does this debate stand now?

Finally, they react to a former Jill Biden media staffer’s claims that President Biden’s press team not only demanded to know reporters’ questions in advance but also dictated which interview quotes could be published after the conversations took place.

Trump Approves F-47, A New DeSantis Era? Gen Z’s Conservative Shift

March 24, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Approves F-47, A New DeSantis Era? Gen Z’s Conservative Shift” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for three good martinis on 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss President Trump’s approval of the F-47 fighter jet, the future political ambitions of the DeSantis family, and mounting evidence that Democrats have alienated young men in a historic way. Plus, they make a somber champagne toast to the late former Utah Rep. Mia Love.

First, they welcome Trump’s approval of the F-47, a cutting-edge, sixth-generation stealth fighter capable of reaching Mach 2. This decision underscores the administration’s focus on military readiness and warfighting capabilities. Jim also explains how this decision impacts the growing debate about whether manned fighters are needed in the age of drones.

Next, Jim shares insights from the National Review Institute’s Ideas Summit, where he interviewed Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and hosted a discussion with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey. Rumors are swirling that Casey DeSantis is considering a 2026 gubernatorial run, and Jim explains why there’s a very good chance Mrs. DeSantis will jump in the race. He also notes the surprising ways she would be different than her husband as governor.

Then, they analyze fresh evidence that Gen Z men are shifting right, possibly in a huge, permanent way. Jim explores why this realignment doesn’t surprise him, pointing to how the left’s approach to education has driven young men toward conservatism. While time will tell, current data suggests this could be the most dramatic political shift among a generation in modern history.

Finally, they raise a champagne toast to former Utah Rep. Mia Love, who passed away from brain cancer. She was just 49 years old. Greg shares excerpts from a recent column Love wrote about the America she cherished, while Jim reflects on her time in Congress and the political future she might have had until cancer robbed her of it.

Property Taxes Are A Scam, Elon Email Backlash May Help DOGE, Intel Community Depravity

February 25, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Property Taxes Are A Scam, Elon Email Backlash May Help DOGE, Intel Community Depravity” on Spreaker.

Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney and National Review Contributing Editor Andy McCarthy is in for Jim on today’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Andy and Greg as they break down why property taxes are a big government scam, how Elon Musk’s email controversy could legally benefit DOGE, and the disturbing ways intelligence agencies allow employees to spend their workdays discussing their bizarre sexual issues—all on the taxpayer’s dime.

First, they applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for exposing the absurdity of property taxes and how the government forces homeowners to pay yearly taxes on property they already own and have already been taxed on. Andy also highlights how progressives manipulate the assessment system to unfairly burden both the wealthy and the poor to raise money for their insatiable appetite for big government.

Next, Andy digs into his column on how Elon Musk’s weekend order may have been an impulsive command to President Trump’s comments, but the refusal of multiple cabinet-level officials to comply with the directive could actually strengthen DOGE’s legal position in the long run.

Finally, parental discretion is advised as Greg and Andy react with disgust to reports that NSA, CIA, and DIA employees spent their work hours in two NSA LGBT chatrooms discussing their trans identities and explicit fetishes. Even worse, NSA leadership defends this behavior as “not only mission critical but mission imperative.” Andy questions how these agencies, which repeatedly fail to anticipate major global events yet demand more funding, have time to foster and participate in such activities.

Moody Replacing Rubio, Trump & the TikTok Ban, Dems Confess Biden’s Decline

January 17, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Moody Replacing Rubio, Trump & the TikTok Ban, Dems Confess Biden’s Decline” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they examine Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis selecting Attorney General Ashley Moody to replace Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate, the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a TikTok ban, and a new report exposing Democrats’ long-standing doubts about President Biden’s capabilities.

First, they cautiously commend Gov. DeSantis for appointing Ashley Moody to succeed Marco Rubio once Rubio assumes his new role as Secretary of State. Moody’s strong conservative credentials and statewide electoral success make her a solid choice. They also contrast the timing of this announcement with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who was had more than two months to pick someone to fill the seat vacated by Vice President-Elect JD Vance and still allowed the seat to remain vacant for a week.

Next, they analyze the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the TikTok ban, mandating the app’s sale to an entity unaffiliated with hostile nations. The law is designed to address national security concerns, but Donald Trump’s recent support for keeping TikTok unchanged adds a layer of complexity to the issue.

Finally, Jim and Greg dissect a revealing New York Times report detailing how Senate Democrats lost confidence in President Biden after his disastrous debate performance. They discuss how Biden’s pollsters gave him a mere five percent chance of defeating Trump but never told that to Biden. They also marvel at the lengths to which Democrats and the media tried to deny Biden’s decline when it was blatantly obvious to everyone.

Judge Blasts Biden Pardon, Hegseth Under Fire, Cuomo Eyeing NYC Mayor’s Race?

December 4, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Judge Blasts Biden Pardon, Hegseth Under Fire, Cuomo Eyeing NYC Mayor’s Race?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they tackle what Jim calls “the naughty list.” Today’s episode covers a federal judge’s critique of Biden’s Hunter pardon, controversies surrounding Trump’s Pentagon pick, and Andrew Cuomo’s rumored political comeback in New York City.

They begin by spotlighting Federal Judge Mark Scarsi’s scathing assessment of President Biden’s justification for pardoning Hunter Biden. Scarsi accuses Biden of misrepresenting key facts, undermining his own appointees by alleging political persecution, and potentially issuing an unconstitutional pardon.

Next, they dive into new allegations against Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense, involving claims of misconduct during his time at Fox News and his leadership at Concerned Veterans for America. Hegseth’s defenders point out that all of the new allegations are based on anonymous sources and his former colleagues are eagerly going on the record to defend him. The Wall Street Journal also reports that the Trump team may be preparing to move on to a new nominee and is even floating some possible alternatives.

Lastly, Jim previews his Washington Post column aimed at derailing Andrew Cuomo’s rumored run for New York City mayor. They detail Cuomo’s extensive history of scandals, arguing why he should never return to public office.

Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab

November 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack Matt Gaetz withdrawing his bid for Attorney General and President-Elect Trump choosing Pam Bondi as his new nominee, Sen. Bob Casey’s overdue concession, and the UN’s latest attempt to bilk U.S. taxpayers in the name of climate change.

First, they discuss Matt Gaetz stepping aside after multiple GOP senators vowed to oppose his nomination. They also explore Pam Bondi’s record as Florida Attorney General and the potential hurdles in her confirmation process. Plus, they explain why Gaetz’s political future won’t include a Senate or House seat.

Next, they’re glad to see Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. concede his loss to Republican challenger Dave McCormick. But even in this statement, Casey spoke glowingly of election officials in all counties and the legal army he assembled, allegedly to make sure no voters were disenfranchised. Jim and Greg are not impressed but they’re glad he’s finally hitting the bricks.

Finally, they roll their eyes at the UN’s plan to demand $250 billion from the U.S. and other Western nations for climate change initiatives. Even more absurd, the recipient nations are upset it’s not $1 trillion. Thankfully, this misguided scheme is unlikely to survive past Trump’s inauguration.

DeSantis in Command, Dems’ Hypocrisy on Accepting Elections, Emhoff’s Bad Behavior

October 11, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “DeSantis in Command, Dems’ Hypocrisy on Accepting Elections, Emhoff’s Bad Behavior” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the outstanding leadership of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during hurricane season, the laughable double standards among Democrats when it comes to accepting election results, and the allegations of despicable behavior against Doug Emhoff.

First, they’re impressed with how Gov. DeSantis is coordinating the state’s hurricane response, his mastery of hurricane history to dispel arguments that climate change is responsible for the recent storms, and his common sense policies for getting Floridians back on their feet as quickly as possible after the storm.

Next, they share a good laugh at the hypocrisy displayed by some House Democrats. Despite being harsh critics of Trump’s rejection of the 2020 election results, these Democrats are now hesitant to commit to certifying a Trump victory in 2024, claiming they would need to “make sure all the rules have been followed.” But if Republicans say that, they are an existential threat to democracy.

Finally, they delve into the troubling allegations surrounding Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris’s husband. Emhoff has already admitted to ending his first marriage after an affair with the family nanny, whom he impregnated. More recent accusations suggest that he slapped an ex-girlfriend in public and exhibited misogynistic behavior toward women in his law firm, raising serious concerns about his character.

Is Biden Undermining Harris? Kamala Whiffs Again, Walz Wants to Scrap Electoral College

October 9, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Is Biden Undermining Harris? Kamala Whiffs Again, Walz Wants to Scrap Electoral College” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss whether President Biden is deliberately damaging the Kamala Harris campaign, Harris doing even worse in a second opportunity to distance herself from Biden’s record, and Tim Walz wanting to abolish the Electoral College.

First, they appreciate Biden defending the hurricane preparations by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ahead of Hurricane Milton after Vice President Harris suggested DeSantis didn’t take her calls over politics. But they also wonder whether Biden is subtly or even subconsciously undermining Harris after being shoved aside by his party for a second term.

Next, they examine Harris’s struggles in responding to questions about her differences from Biden’s policies. After her lackluster response on “The View,” she stumbles again on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” avoiding a simple question with her usual “word salad.” Why is she so bad at answering a simple question?

Finally, Jim and Greg analyze the fallout from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s comments at a California fundraiser where he advocated for abolishing the Electoral College in favor of a national popular vote. The Harris campaign insists this is not her position, but it is the overwhelming position on the left. So which party is going to protect our norms, laws, and traditions again?

DeSantis Makes Sense on Trump Probe, Cringeworthy Questioning of Kamala, Is Trump’s Golf to Blame?

September 18, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “DeSantis Makes Sense on Trump Probe, Pathetic Media Panders to Kamala, Is Trump’s Golf to Blame?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his deeper explanation for why Florida definitely needs to be conducting its own investigation into this past weekend’s attempted assassination of Donald Trump. They also discuss the pathetic question aimed at Kamala Harris in a rare interview opportunity and the weak argument that Donald Trump’s love of golf is making him more vulnerable to being attacked.

First, they agree with Gov. DeSantis that state officials do need to be conducting their own investigation because there are some pertinent charges that federal prosecutors cannot pursue but state officials can. And while any prosecution ought to be based on the facts, limiting charges to just a couple of federal gun crimes hardly seems sufficient for a man caught trying to kill a former president who is also currently a major party nominee for president.

Next, they groan as one of the panelists interviewing Kamala Harris at a National Association of Black Journalists event asks her the brutally tough question, “Why is joy important to you to insert into this election?” Jim notes that opportunities to question Harris are few and far between so you shouldn’t be wasting them on things like that when there are many critical issues worth addressing.

Finally, they cast a skeptical eye on a Politico story suggesting that Donald Trump is putting himself in danger by continuing to play golf, supposedly because it puts a major strain on Secret Service personnel to secure the large amount of space involved. They don’t doubt that it is challenging but many presidents have been avid players and Secret Service never seemed to complain about his before.

Trump Targeted for Assassination…Again

September 16, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Targeted for Assassination…Again” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dissect an assassination attempt against Donald Trump for the second time this summer. Today, they walk through the disturbing details of what happened in Florida on Sunday, the callous reaction in the media and beyond, and some of the bright spots that we can also see.

First, they walk through a lot of the facts in this case as laid out by law enforcement. There seems to have been a much more competent response than there was in Pennsylvania. But some frustrating questions still linger based on what what we know so far.

Next, they highlight media figures like NBC’s Lester Holt and MSNBC’s Alex Witt appearing to blame Trump’s rhetoric for the latest attempt against his life and suggesting it’s Trump who needs to tone down his statements.

Finally, they’re thankful for a very observant U.S. Secret Service agent whose vigilance stopped the threat to Trump’s life before it could materialize. They’re also grateful to learn Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis plans to have state authorities investigate what happened.
