China’s Lousy Economy, Reality in Afghanistan, White House Briefing Blunders

August 16, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “China’s Lousy Economy, Reality in Afghanistan, White House Briefing Blunders” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cautiously welcome news that China’s economy is struggling mightily as a result of the prolonged, Draconian COVID lockdowns. But what might China do to distract its people from those economic problems? They also mark two years since the fall of Kabul to the Taliban during Biden’s humiliating exit from Afghanistan – and point out all of the horrific restrictions reimposed on women and girls. Finally, they roll their eyes at the sheer incompetence of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who butchered the names of both Hawaii senators and referred to Sen. Mazie Hirono as a “he.”
Timestamps:
0:21 – China’s struggling economy
6:22 – Two years after the fall of Kabul, life for Afghan women is as bad as you would expect.
15:09 – Karine Jean-Pierre’s weak performance as White House Press Secretary

China’s Curious Timing, No Cocaine Culprit, Disney’s Decline

July 14, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “China’s Curious Timing, No Cocaine Culprit, Disney’s Decline” on Spreaker.

Jim and Greg end the week with all crazy martinis. First, they look into allegations that China-related donations to the University of Pennsylvania soared immediately after Joe Biden established the Biden Center there following his time as vice president. They also don’t buy the U.S. Secret Service concluding that it will never be able to determine who is responsible for the cocaine found at the White House. Finally, they dissect the decline in people visiting Disney theme parks this summer – and the explanation is actually pretty simple.

Dem’s Shadow Election, Biden & Big Tech Go to Court, Cocaine in the White House

July 6, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Dem’s Shadow Election, Biden & Big Tech Go to Court, Cocaine in the White House” on Spreaker.

Chad Benson from The Chad Benson Show fills in for Greg today as he joins Jim with good, bad, and crazy martinis. They first discuss the “shadow campaigns” run by Democrats such as Gavin Newsom and the Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s possible 2028 run, and how the party has to play around Biden’s run for re-election. They then react to the DOJ appealing a lower court’s ban on the Biden administration’s communication with social media companies to censor “objectionable” posts, with the case likely ending up in the Supreme Court. They finally opine on cocaine found in the White House, with “one familiar with the investigation” by the Secret Service saying the perpetrator is “unlikely to be determined”.

Jim and Greg investigate a recent report of a high-level Chinese defector who allegedly has “damaging information” on many American intelligence and government officials. They also remark on Senator Whitehouse’s continued membership in an all-white beach club in Rhode Island. Lastly, they lament that Democrats are calling a tragic car accident at a gay parade in Florida a “terrorist attack.”
