Can FBI Crack Cocaine Case? Elon Seeks More Spending Cuts, Harvard Fires Prof for Faking Dishonesty Data

May 28, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Can FBI Crack Cocaine Case? Elon Seeks More Spending Cuts, Harvard Fires Prof for Faking Dishonesty Data” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for Tuesday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into the FBI’s decision to reopen two politically charged investigations, Elon Musk’s disappointment with the amount of spending in the GOP bill, and a Harvard professor fired for falsifying her studies on dishonesty.

First, Jim and Greg commend the FBI for revisiting stalled investigations, namely the 2022 leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs abortion ruling and the 2023 discovery of cocaine inside the Biden White House. Both probes were closed under the current administration without answers.

Next, they examine Elon Musk’s criticism of the GOP’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” which he says includes far too much government spending. The legislation contains many strong conservative provisions, but Musk says it can’t be both big and beautiful and there are many areas ripe for spending reductions.

Finally, they laugh at the stunning irony of Harvard firing a tenured professor for the first time in nearly 80 years because she falsified her research on dishonesty. This leads Jim and Greg down the road of other famous examples of researchers and politicians fabricating their results.

More Biden Revelations, Social Security for Illegals? Trump Targets Drug Costs, RFK’s Curious Swim

May 13, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “More Biden Revelations, Social Security for Illegals? Trump Targets Drug Costs, RFK’s Curious Swim” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they consider the latest revelations in the Biden coverup, the Department of Homeland Security investigating whether officials in California funneled Social Security benefits to illegals, President Trump’s executive order demanding huge drops in prescription drug prices, and Health and Human Services Sec. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s controversial weekend swim.

First, they offer a quick reaction to the revelation that Joe Biden’s inner circle was hiding his cognitive decline – even from his own staff. They also rebuff Kamala Harris campaign strategist David Plouffe, who largely blames Biden for Kamala’s loss.

Then it’s on to the martinis, beginning with a new Department of Homeland Security investigation into whether Los Angeles County officials provided federal benefits, including Social Security, to people in the country illegally through California’s Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants. Jim also questions why California maintains a program that gives taxpayer money to non-citizens, including illegal immigrants.

Next, they assess President Trump’s new executive order directing drug companies to slash prescription prices by 50–80 percent for U.S. consumers. While they agree Americans pay far more than people in other countries, they warn that government-mandated price ceilings could lead to drug shortages. Jim and Greg then consider some more market-friendly ways to bring these costs down. Finally, they scratch their heads at the news that Health and Human Services Sec. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. went swimming with his grandkids in Washington’s Rock Creek this past weekend, since authorities have long warned that the creek’s bacteria levels make it unsafe for people or pets to enter the water.

Major MS-13 Arrest, Gov. Youngkin’s Veto Binge, GOP Rep Exposes Radical NPR Boss

March 27, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Major MS-13 Arrest, Gov. Youngkin’s Veto Binge, GOP Rep Exposes Radical NPR Boss” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they celebrate a major MS-13 gang leader’s arrest, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s veto spree against a lot of lousy bills passed by Democrats, and a Texas congressman exposing NPR CEO Katherine Maher’s radical views using her own words.

First, they break down the FBI’s arrest of the top MS-13 leader on the East Coast during an early morning raid in Virginia and carried out with federal, state, and local cooperation. Jim and Greg applaud the move, hoping more gang members are soon locked up or deported. And they are encouraged to see the Justice Department and FBI making this a priority.

Then they stay in Virginia, where Gov. Youngkin recently vetoed nearly 160 bills from the Democrat-controlled legislature. The rejected measures covered gun control, a minimum wage hike, restricted speech outside abortion clinics, and a sweeping “environmental justice” agenda, among others. With a governor’s race looming, Jim warns that Democrats will push these policies into law if they perform well in November.

Finally, they enjoy Texas Rep. Brandon Gill’s grilling of NPR CEO Katherine Maher. Gill methodically exposes Maher’s extreme views on reparations, looting, and other issues—simply by quoting her own past statements.

Trump Tariff Threats Motivate Mexico, Esquire’s Pardon Fiasco, CEO’s Shocking Manhattan Murder

December 5, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Tariff Threats Motivate Mexico, Esquire’s Pardon Fiasco, CEO’s Shocking Manhattan Murder” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack Trump’s tariff threats already reaping results in Mexico, humiliating missteps for Esquire and Ana Navarro regarding Biden’s pardon, and the shocking murder of a health insurance CEO in midtown Manhattan.

First, they highlight Mexico’s record-breaking fentanyl seizure just days after Trump threatened tariffs on Canada and Mexico for failing to curb illegal crossings and drug trafficking. They explore how Trump’s tough stance appears to be delivering swift action.

Next, they dive into the comedic fallout as Charles Pierce of Esquire and Ana Navarro of The View attempt to spin President Biden’s pardon of Hunter Biden with laughably false claims. Jim underscores the importance of basic fact-checking and common sense to avoid such embarrassing misfires.

Finally, they analyze the chilling murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan. Jim and Greg not only examine the emerging details of the case but also call out the disturbing rhetoric suggesting the CEO “deserved” it due to frustrations over denied insurance claims.

House Dems Blame Game, Pennsylvania Dems Defy Court, Trumps Picks RFK Jr. for HHS

November 15, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “House Dems’ Blame Game, Pennsylvania Dems Defy Court, Trumps Picks RFK Jr. for HHS” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack some House Democrats blaming their leader for GOP election wins, local Pennsylvania Democrats disregarding court orders to aid Sen. Bob Casey, and Donald Trump choosing Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to run the Department of Health and Human Services.

First, Jim and Greg enjoy the fireworks as some House progressives accuse Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of causing Republican victories by failing to convince President Biden to step aside sooner. The lefties further lament that former Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to push Biden out of the race. Jim and Greg dissect why this narrative is far-fetched but relish watching Democrats openly battle over election blame.

Next, they express disbelief as local Democrats in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, flagrantly defy a state Supreme Court order prohibiting the counting of certain invalid ballots. One commissioner even declared on camera that legal precedent no longer matters. Jim and Greg expose the hypocrisy of Democrats claiming to be defenders of democracy while blatantly ignoring the rule of law.

Finally, they analyze President-Elect Trump’s decision to nominate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services. While Kennedy could champion important reforms, they raise concerns over his pro-abortion stance, his potential priorities, and even more political capital being spent over a cabinet fight.

Kamala Wants to Kill the Filibuster, Harris Keeps Hedging, Kamala Rewards Ruhle

September 25, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Kamala Wants to Kill the Filibuster, Harris Keeps Hedging, Kamala Rewards Ruhle” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up all bad and crazy martinis. Today, they discuss Kamala Harris wanting to kill the Senate filibuster to codify Roe v. Wade, her ongoing refusal to confirm whether she still holds the same positions on several controversial issues, and MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle landing an interview with Harris just days after publicly saying that Harris doesn’t need to answer tough questions because Donald Trump is such a threat to our nation.

First, they dive into the vice president’s call to suspend the Senate filibuster to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema  – the one-time Democrats who prevented their colleagues from killing the filibuster in the previous Congress – immediately denounced the idea. Jim and Greg explain why ending the filibuster would set a dangerous precedent, ultimately allowing Democrats to dismantle it for all legislative priorities.

They then shift to Harris’s refusal to confirm whether her views on controversial issues like the death penalty, citizenship for some illegal immigrants, and decriminalizing sex work have changed. Despite repeated questions, the Vice President also avoids discussing her stance on a California ballot initiative that would increase penalties for minor theft and drug crimes. Jim and Greg not only blast her for trying to obscure her radical positions, but somehow wind up venting about Democrats – and a few Republicans – who failed to keep their word back in the ’80s and ’90s.

Finally, they roll their eyes as MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle lands an interview with Harris just days after Ruhle went on “Real Time with Bill Maher” and said Harris didn’t need to answer tough questions or clarify policy positions because Trump is so horrible that voting for Harris was an obvious choice. Could this interview be anything other than an Oprah-style campaign ad?

Three Martinis with Robert Davi: His Role in ‘Reagan,’ Conservatives in Hollywood, ‘Die Hard’

September 9, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Three Martinis with Robert Davi: His Role in ‘Reagan,’ Conservatives in Hollywood, ‘Die Hard'” on Spreaker.

Jim and Greg welcome acclaimed actor, director, and singer Robert Davi to sip three martinis. Today, they discuss Davi’s role in the new biopic of Ronald Reagan, what it’s like for him as a conservative in Hollywood, and his unforgettable performance as Special Agent Johnson in “Die Hard.”

First, they discuss how Davi got involved in the Reagan movie project nine years ago and how he deeply researched his role as former Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. Davi also explains why he wanted to be part of the film, how the media mocked and attacked Reagan much more at the time than they will admit now, and more.

Next, Davi shares what it’s like to be a conservative in Hollywood and how becoming more publicly supportive of conservatives and Republicans curiously coincided with a sudden decrease in opportunities to act and direct. He also takes us inside his recent film, “My Son Hunter” about Hunter Biden, the approach he took to directing it, and why many people discovered the film was far different than they expected it to be.

Then, of course, they spotlight Davi’s very memorable role in “Die Hard” and why the film endures more than most action movies. And you will not want to miss Davi’s hilarious story about watching the “Die Hard” for the first time alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger – complete with his perfect impression of Arnold.

Finally, Jim and Davi discuss their expectations for tomorrow night’s presidential debate.

Dems & Wisconsin, Feds & Facebook, Kamala & the Wall, The Taliban & Your Tax Dollars

August 27, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Dems & Wisconsin, Feds & Facebook, Kamala & the Wall, The Taliban & Your Tax Dollars” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they squeeze four stories into today’s podcast, from the DNC’s absurd efforts to undermine democracy in Wisconsin to Mark Zuckerberg admitting the FBI, the White House and other federal entities pressured him over online speech and from Kamala Harris tacitly backing a border wall to the return of repression and terrorist safe havens in Afghanistan.

Before the official martinis, they highlight how Democrats are trying to limit voters’ options ahead of the presidential election. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has thankfully dismissed a lawsuit trying to kick the Green Party’s Jill Stein off the ballot in the Badger State. And it has to be one of the dumbest arguments for removing a candidate that we’ve ever heard.

Then, they react to Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg admitting to House Republicans that the Biden administration urged him to censor COVID-19 content on Facebook, including humor and satire. And the FBI pre-emptively told him to be on the lookout for “Russian disinformation” about the Biden family and Burisma, so he was predisposed to spike the story of the Hunter Biden laptop when it was reported in the NY Post.

Next, they assess an Axios story that suggests Kamala Harris has flip-flopped again, this time embracing a border wall since she’s on the record backing the Senate immigration bill. This change in policy is not something her staffers have announced, but it’s another sign she is running to the middle despite her long radical record – and its happening while Democrats are planning a very progressive agenda in Congress with her full blessing.

Finally, they wince as the Taliban reimpose some of the most repressive policies against women just as we mark three years since the disastrous Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan. Jim also points out terrorist groups, including Al Qaeda, are thriving there again. And all of it happening with your tax dollars.

The JD Vance Speech, Biden Campaign Circles the Drain, MSNBC ‘Huffing the Copium’

July 18, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “The JD Vance Speech, Biden Campaign Circles the Drain, MSNBC ‘Huffing the Copium'” on Spreaker.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women’s Forum and host of the “High Noon” podcast is in for Jim. Today, Inez and Greg discuss J. D. Vance’s RNC speech last night, the latest from a steadily collapsing Biden campaign, and Joy Reid’s latest unhinged take on Donald Trump and President Biden.

First, they highlight the most salient points from Vance’s speech. While Jim explained in the Morning Jolt why he did not like the speech because of how it  represents an unfortunate shift in the Republican party and Greg has been bothered by heavy union embrace at the RNC, Inez contends that we are living in different times, and Vance’s vision is a necessary one for the country’s future.

Next, they pull out the popcorn as high profile Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer shove Biden harder towards ending his re-election bid. His recent gaffes, forgetting the names of President Herbert Hoover and his own Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, as well as his recent contraction of Covid-19, are certainly not helping his case.

Finally, they rip Joy Reid’s attempt to compare Joe Biden’s (hopeful) recovery from Covid to Trump recovering from getting shot. Inez quips that Democrats are just “huffing copium” at this point, because Trump obviously has all the luck on his side and has a knack for making the most of key moments.

Powerful Convention Moments, Biden Panders to the Far Left, Cheatle’s Sloppy ‘Slope’ Excuse

July 17, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Powerful Convention Moments, Biden Panders to the Far Left, Cheatle’s Sloppy ‘Slope’ Excuse” on Spreaker.

Today, Jim and Greg discuss the most compelling and important moments from the Republican National Convention Tuesday evening, President Biden’s pandering to the hard left, and U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s unsatisfying interview about the assassination attempt against Donald Trump.

First, they review convention speeches from former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, as Haley sought to unite the party and DeSantis took a blowtorch to Biden and his record. They also highlight Madeline Brame’s impassioned speech soft-on-crime policies of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and other far left prosecutors. Jim believes that Nikki Haley’s speech may turn out to be the most impactful in the coming election in moving the needle for Trump skeptics.

Next, they shake their heads as Biden scrambles to save his campaign by appealing to hardline progressives with promises of federal rent control in a gaffe-filled speech. Jim is bewildered at why Democrats are pushing so hard to make him the nominee, seemingly terrified of a delegate fight this late in the election cycle.

Finally, they put the spotlight on an interview that Director Cheatle did with ABC News, which raised more questions than it answered about how the shooter gained access to the roof of a building just 400 feet from Trump. They hope to see investigations and hearings that hold the Secret Service to  greater accountability, but are resigned to the fact that Cheatle will not be stepping down and probably won’t be fired.
