Lab Leak Momentum, Social Media Mayhem, Lower LAPD Standards?

February 27, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Lab Leak Momentum, Social Media Mayhem, Lower LAPD Standards?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to the Department of Energy warming to the idea that the COVID pandemic originated with a lab leak in China. They also welcome the bipartisan concern over the devastating impact that social media is having on teenagers, including significant increases in suicidal thoughts – particularly among girls. Finally, they cringe as new Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass wants to lower standards for police recruits in order to increase the diversity of the LAPD.

Natural Immunity Vindicated, Equity vs. Honors Classes, GOP Losers Running Again?

February 17, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Natural Immunity Vindicated, Equity vs. Honors Classes, GOP Losers Running Again?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg offer a quick update on yesterday’s Don Lemon saga before serving up their three martinis for the day. First, they welcome new studies from the Lancet and beyond showing people who developed natural immunity from a bout with COVID did just as well as the vaccinated against future cases and that natural immunity was stronger against reinfection than the jab. Those who demanded getting shots to keep your job or just be part of society will sure to file this news in the memory hole as quickly as possible. They also unload at the California school district that decided to end high school honors classes in English because they were not diverse enough. Jim explains why those school officials took exactly the wrong course of action. Finally, react to several flawed and failed GOP House and Senate candidates from last year gearing up to run again.

New Zealand Lockdown Queen Quits, 30 Percent Sales Tax? Gore’s Climate Rant

January 19, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “New Zealand Lockdown Queen Quits, 30 Percent Sales Tax? Gore’s Climate Rant” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the impending resignation of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, whose years in power were most notably marked by draconian COVID policies and unilaterally outlawing the right to own many different weapons. They also shake their heads as some House Republicans propose a national 30 percent sales tax to replace all other federal taxes. They appreciate the effort to simplify the code and hope discussions continue but fear this plan will only be used by Democrats to hammer Republicans. Finally, they respond to former Vice President Al Gore bellowing about boiling oceans and a billion climate refugees.

Trump’s Head Fake, Biden’s Border Madness, COVID & Car Insurance

December 15, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Trump’s Head Fake, Biden’s Border Madness, COVID & Car Insurance” on Spreaker.

Ricochet.com Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim. Today, Jon and Greg shake their heads as President Trump’s big announcement turns into a promotion for digital trading cards of himself. They also cringe as the Biden administration prepares to make the border crisis far worse by lifting Title 42 and ending the “Remain in Mexico” policy. Finally, they roll their eyes at research suggesting people who didn’t get the COVID shot are more dangerous drivers – meaning vaccination status could impact your insurance rates.

Widespread China Protests, Iran’s Blinding Crackdown, Trump’s Unappetizing Guests

November 28, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Widespread China Protests, Iran’s Blinding Crackdown, Trump’s Unappetizing Guests” on Spreaker.

After a brief discussion of the Jets decisive victory over the Bears, Jim and Greg cheer on the brave protesters in China who are fed up with the CCP’s suffocating COVID policies and demanding other freedoms in the face of a repressive regime. They also wince as an Iranian paramilitary group violently confronts protesters and even blinds many of them. And they react to Trump’s dinner with Kanye West last week that also included Milo Yiannopoulos and Nick Fuentes – a trio that Jim refers to as “the Mount Rushmore of lunatics.”

Surging GOP Polls, Sununu Delivers Reality Check, COVID Amnesty?

November 1, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Surging GOP Polls, Sununu Delivers Reality Check, COVID Amnesty?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome more polling indicators of a good midterm election night for Republicans – including dismal numbers on the state of the nation and a huge shift towards the GOP among suburban women in just the past couple of months. They also applaud New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu for calling out “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd for living in a bubble after Todd was incredulous that election denial was not the top concern for voters this year. And they tee off on the suggestion in “The Atlantic” that we should just grant each other amnesty over our differences on COVID policy and just move on.

Fetterman’s Debate Nightmare, Zeldin’s Debate Dominance, NYC Vax Mandate Struck Down

October 26, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Fetterman’s Debate Nightmare, Zeldin’s Debate Dominance, NYC Vax Mandate Struck Down” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss John Fetterman’s painful performance in the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate debate and how Fetterman’s wife and state Democrats failed to protect a man who clearly needs much more time to recover. They also cheer Lee Zeldin for eviscerating New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on crime, the economy, freedom, and the nursing home scandal which still demands accountability. Finally, they applaud the New York Supreme Court for striking down New York City’s policy of firing city employees who did not get a COVID shot and ordering those employees reinstated and given back pay.

D.C. Delays COVID Mandate, Hochul’s Horrible Performance, Hotels for the Homeless?

August 29, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “D.C. Delays COVID Mandate, Hochul’s Horrible Performance, Hotels for the Homeless?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Washington, D.C. postponing a COVID vaccine mandate for students 12 years and older after the Daily Signal repeatedly pointed out that the requirement would keep 40 percent of black students in that age range out of school. They also chronicle just how bad New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is – from telling political opponents they don’t belong in the state to falsely indicating that she was against closing schools over COVID. And they walk through the the effort in Los Angeles to force hotels to house the homeless in any vacant rooms they have.

School Voucher Success, Whoa Canada, Georgia Ticket-Splitters

July 14, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “School Voucher Success, Whoa Canada, Georgia Ticket-Splitters” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they celebrate Arizona leading the way on universal school choice – including parents keeping money for private tuition or homeschooling. They also groan as Canada’s vaccine mandate for people entering the country will mean 10 players for the Kansas City Royals can’t play in Toronto. And they analyze polling showing potential Georgia ticket-splitting as Gov. Brian Kemp enjoys a healthy lead while GOP Senate nominee Herschel Walker is slightly behind.

Public Schools Shrinking, Infuriating Power Play, COVID Border Hypocrisy

May 2, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Public Schools Shrinking, Infuriating Power Play, COVID Border Hypocrisy” on Spreaker.

Join Greg and Rob Long as they hope reports of major downsizing at public schools over shrinking enrollment means public schools will need to compete for students and provide a much better education. They also cringe as Biden official Samantha Power seems happy that farmers are getting crushed by much higher fertilizer prices because it will accelerate the government’s green agenda. And they shake their heads at the administration’s latest COVID hypocrisy at the border.
