Hogan Won’t Run, Zeldin’s GOP Pep Talk, Equality vs. Equity

March 6, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Hogan Won’t Run, Zeldin’s GOP Pep Talk, Equality vs. Equity” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s decision not to run for the GOP presidential nomination. They also cheer Lee Zeldin for imploring Republicans to go fight for every vote by going into every precinct (even the deep blue ones) and sharing conservative ideas on crime, education, economic growth and more. Finally, they enjoy watching Sen. Bernie Sanders sit dumbfounded as Bill Maher asks him to explain the difference between equality and equity. It’s a revealing moment because they are very different ideas that the left tries to use interchangeably to confuse people.

Hogan Flunks Education, Trump’s Absurd Attack, Politico’s Nauseating Tips for Journos

February 20, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Hogan Flunks Education, Trump’s Absurd Attack, Politico’s Nauseating Tips for Journos” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three lousy martinis for the Presidents Day edition. First, they groan as former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan makes it clear education is not at the top of his priority list as a possible presidential candidate, and he accepts and agrees NBC’s false explanation of the approach Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is taking on education policy. They also sigh as President Trump unleashes a social media rant against reporter Salena Zito for doing a favorable profile on DeSantis – noting that Zito’s reporting in 2016 explained better than anyone why Trump and his message were resonating so strongly in places Republicans hadn’t won in decades. Finally, they roll their eyes at Politico’s tips for faking your way through conversations with journalists and others in Washington to advance your reporting career.

More Classified Doc Drama, NIH Dereliction Exposed, GOP Field Growing

February 1, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “More Classified Doc Drama, NIH Dereliction Exposed, GOP Field Growing” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the FBI searching Biden’s Delaware beach house for classified documents today and reports that the Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of information coming from the Justice Department. They also shake their heads as the HHS inspector general concludes the National Institutes of Health failed to keep close tabs on the gain of function research done in Wuhan and elsewhere that was paid for with taxpayer-funded grants. And they sigh as former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan strongly hints that he will run for president in 2024, even though there’s very little chance he will make any ripples in the campaign at all.

SCOTUS Marshal Condemns Protests, Newsom Trolls DeSantis, Mass Shooter Warning Signs

July 5, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “SCOTUS Marshal Condemns Protests, Newsom Trolls DeSantis, Mass Shooter Warning Signs” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the Supreme Court marshal urging state officials in Virginia and Maryland to protect Supreme Court justices and stop protests outside their private homes. But they do wonder why it took her almost two months to do this. They also get a kick out of California Gov. Gavin Newsom trying to claim there is more freedom in California than in Florida in his laughable attempt to troll Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. And they fume as yet another mass shooter littered the internet with his fascination with other mass killings.

New Polls Pound Dems, Maryland’s Smart Hiring Change, Senate Wants DST Permanent

March 16, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “New Polls Pound Dems, Maryland’s Smart Hiring Change, Senate Wants DST Permanent” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they analyze new polls showing President Biden’s energy agenda is deeply unpopular and that a majority of Americans agree with controversial Florida legislation blocking students from kindergarten through third grade from being taught about gender identity and sexual orientation. They congratulate Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan for enacting common sense policy that allows applicants without a college degree to be considered in the state hiring process and suspect Democrats are not being completely honest in why they oppose the bill. We might soon be saying goodbye to changing those clocks as Sens. Marco Rubio and Ed Markey pass a bill making daylight saving time permanent. And they cringe as President Biden struggles to make basic introductions at a public event.

Hogan Passes on 2020 Bid, GOP’s Massive Grifter Problem, Hickenlooper Booed for Rejecting Socialism

June 3, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Hogan Passes on 2020 Bid, GOP’s Massive Grifter Problem, Hickenlooper Booed for Rejecting Socialism” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan deciding not to launch a GOP challenge to President Trump in 2020. They also examine Jim’s research into the staggering amount of corruption non-profit groups on the right are committing in the name of supposedly helping conservative candidates. Finally, Democratic presidential candidate John Hickenlooper slams socialism and takes on a chorus of boos at the Democratic convention in California.

Trump’s Latest Offer, Dems Grovel to the Base, Hogan vs. Trump?

January 22, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Trump’s Latest Offer, Dems Grovel to the Base, Hogan vs. Trump?” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss President Trump’s latest offer to secure the border and end the partial government shutdown and how the tide is turning against Democrats for refusing to negotiate.  They also roll their eyes as Kirsten Gillibrand and Joe Biden are profusely apologizing for holding positions years ago that anger the progressive base of the Democratic Party now.  And they react to signs that Maryland GOP Gov. Larry Hogan may be positioning himself for a primary challenge against President Trump.
