DNC Walz vs. The Real Walz, The Dems’ Freedom Fiction, What Bad Jobs Report?

August 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “DNC Walz vs. The Real Walz, The Dems’ Freedom Fiction, What Bad Jobs Report?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the third night of the Democratic National Convention and more. They comment on Bill Clinton’s decline, the fictional Tim Walz highlighted at the DNC vs. the one with a real & disturbing record as governor, the Dems projecting the fantasy that they are the party of freedom, and Biden’s commerce secretary giving a bizarre reaction to a lousy jobs report.

First, after commenting on Clinton’s speech that was underwhelming and way too long, they dissect the “strikingly shameless” portrayal of Tim Walz as an everyman and good neighbor instead of the far left politician who coddled rioters, threatened anyone reluctant to take a Covid vaccine, added a Covid snitch line, and has had a cozy relationship with China for decades.

Next, they shake their heads as Democrat after Democrat pretended that they are the party of freedom and that Republicans are the party of federal intrusion into our lives. And yet, there’s only a couple of “freedoms” that they really care about and got repeated over and over Wednesday night.

Finally, they laugh as Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo accuses Donald Trump of issuing the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report showing the government overestimated the number of jobs created over the past year by 818,000. When confronted with the truth, Raimondo claimed she was not aware of the report.

Border Rush in El Paso, Green Agenda Choking Freedom, Palestinian Poll Ruins Dem Narrative

March 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Border Rush in El Paso, Green Agenda Choking Freedom, Palestinian Poll Ruins Dem Narrative” on Spreaker.

Undisputed King of Stuff, columnist, and longtime Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim today. Today, Jon and Greg tackle three lousy martinis centered on the critical issues of national security and basic economic freedoms.

First, they react to Thursday’s horrifying rush of illegal aliens towards Texas National Guard troops and our border fence in El Paso, Texas. And despite this lawlessness, many of those people were allowed into the U.S.

Next, they fume over President Biden’s EPA announcing new emissions standards that would force electric vehicles to be a significant majority of new car purchases by 2032. Not only does this strangle economic choice but it’s pure fantasy that our power grid can handle that massive surge in demand within a few years. And what if EV emissions are actually worse than those of regular cars? A new study suggests that’s actually the case.

Finally, they analyze a new poll of Palestinians which proves the Democrats’ narrative on the Middle East is a lie. Palestinians do not condemn Hamas and they don’t want peace with Israel.

DeSantis Drops Out, Protesters & First Amendment Fallacies, Elites Hate Your Freedom

January 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “DeSantis Drops Out, Protesters & First Amendment Fallacies, Elites Hate Your Freedom” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they start the week with three bad martinis, although the last one also contains a whole lot of crazy.

The start with the inevitable but disappointing news that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is suspending his campaign. It’s hard to think of candidates with stronger conservative principles and a record of accomplishment, but there were serious flaws with the campaign and there was one simple fact DeSantis had no chance of overcoming.

They also fume as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport sent out a tweet on Saturday warning travelers of pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocking roads around the airport. But the airport also called them a “group in vehicles exercising first amendment rights.” But that is completely untrue. So why do these radical activists not suffer any consequences?

Finally, they shudder at new polling showing that most Americans think government has too much control while the elites and Ivy League graduates overewhelmingly think there is too much individual freedom. And just wait until you hear what they advocate to fight “climate change.”

Radical ‘Green’ Goals, America’s Deep Pessimism, Record Drug Use & Drinking

August 23, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Radical ‘Green’ Goals, America’s Deep Pessimism, Record Drug Use & Drinking” on Spreaker.

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. After a quick GOP debate preview, Scot and Greg tackle three heavy issues. First, they highlight a progressive cities climate group that admits it wants to end meat and dairy consumption and private vehicle ownership – preferably by the end of this decade. They also want drastic reductions in clothes purchases and air travel, and 14 U.S. cities have already signed on to this global initiative. They also dissect a new poll showing 56 percent of Republicans and 20 percent of Democrats think our nation is in danger of failing and discuss why that’s the case. Finally, they shudder at a new report from the University of Michigan showing huge increases in binge drinking and marijuana use among Americans aged 35-50. And the numbers among younger adults is pretty bad too.

Timestamps:

0:58 – Previewing Wednesday’s GOP presidential debate

3:11 – New global progressive cities climate group admits radical ‘green’ goals on meat and dairy consumption, private vehicle ownership and much more.

10:42 – New York Times poll shows 37 percent of Americans and 56 percent of Republicans think the U.S. is in danger of failing.

18:20 – University of Michigan survey shows record binge drinking and marijuana use among Americans aged 35-50. And one in ten young adults use marijuana every day.

Twitter Suspensions, School Mask Mandates Return, Buttigieg Bails Again

December 16, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Twitter Suspensions, School Mask Mandates Return, Buttigieg Bails Again” on Spreaker.

Federalist Radio Hour Host Emily Jashinsky is in for Jim today. Emily and Greg start by dissecting the left’s full meltdown over Twitter suspending several journalists on the left for violating the new doxxing rules. They also discuss the impact Twitter has in exposing media bias and whether Elon Musk’s actions break his pledge to champion free speech.
They’re also furious as Philadelphia public schools plan to impose a mask mandate on students when they return in January just as the damage done to poor and minority students in California from being out of school becomes clearer.
Finally, they wonder what exactly Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg does following reports he was vacationing in Portugal just a week before the nation was threatened with an economy-crippling railroad strike.

SCOTUS Marshal Condemns Protests, Newsom Trolls DeSantis, Mass Shooter Warning Signs

July 5, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “SCOTUS Marshal Condemns Protests, Newsom Trolls DeSantis, Mass Shooter Warning Signs” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the Supreme Court marshal urging state officials in Virginia and Maryland to protect Supreme Court justices and stop protests outside their private homes. But they do wonder why it took her almost two months to do this. They also get a kick out of California Gov. Gavin Newsom trying to claim there is more freedom in California than in Florida in his laughable attempt to troll Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. And they fume as yet another mass shooter littered the internet with his fascination with other mass killings.

Fighting for Freedom, Skyrocketing Rent, Olympic Disgrace

February 18, 2022 by GregC

Listen to “Fighting for Freedom, Skyrocketing Rent, Olympic Disgrace” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they hope the American right’s support for the Canadian Freedom Convoy will refocus the GOP on championing freedom in this year’s midterms and far beyond. They also shudder as Americans in major cities are seeing 30-40 percent increases in rent but also explain how short-sighted government policies are a major contributing factor. And they discuss the ratings bust of the Beijing Winter Olympics and how Russia and the International Olympic Committee have disgraced the games to a dangerous level.

Red State Growth, Will Russia Invade Ukraine? Biden’s Incoherent Response

December 22, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Red State Growth, Will Russia Invade Ukraine? Biden’s Incoherent Response” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the decision of Americans to leave high-tax blue states like New York, California, and Illinois and move to free states like Idaho, Utah, Texas, and Florida. But they do have one request for these new arrivals! They also cringe as the evidence seems to pile up that Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine early next year. And they discuss President Biden’s bewildering response to a question about whether his administration was unprepared for the Omicron variant.

Hong Kong Courage, Even More CDC Confusion, Bungled Federal Rent Relief

July 30, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Hong Kong Courage, Even More CDC Confusion, Bungled Federal Rent Relief” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the bravery of people in Hong Kong publicly booing the Chinese national anthem, which can now land you in big trouble under Chinese control. They also turn a scrutinizing eye on the latest leaks from the CDC that supposedly suggest the Delta variant is much worse than previously thought. And they’re not exactly surprised that the federal government – and government at other levels – has botched a program designed to provide rent relief.
