Our Very Consistent Climate, Economy Slightly Shrinks, Will Dems Use DEI to Ditch David Hogg?

April 30, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Our Very Consistent Climate, Economy Slightly Shrinks, Will Dems Use DEI to Ditch David Hogg?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss a new climate report that the left will immediately ignore, the economy shrinking slightly in the first quarter, and the Democrats turning to hilarious methods to kick David Hogg out of his DNC leadership position.

First, they spotlight a new report from the University of Exeter showing that polar ice levels have remained remarkably consistent over the past two decades. It also aligns with research showing the climate is cyclical and polar ice levels rise and fall as these cycles play out. Jim and Greg contrast this data with the apocalyptic projections of Al Gore and others over the past few decades.

Next, they wince as the U.S. economy (GDP) contracted by 0.3 percent. They also point out that the decline was overwhelmingly driven by a huge increase in imports as countries raced to get their products here before the Trump tariffs kicked in. Without the surge in imports, we likely would have seen GDP increase by more than three percent. What does this news tell us about where the economy is heading from here?

Finally, they have a lot of fun watching the Democratic National Committee turn to identity politics in it’s latest, obvious attempt to run David Hogg out of its leadership. There is now a challenge to Hogg’s election back in January. One of the candidates he defeated says the election process was unfair to women of color. Jim and Greg have some fun imagining what the DNC will look like if this woke approach is followed to its natural conclusion.

Trump vs. Harvard, Deportations & Due Process, The Left’s Green Promises Fail Again

April 15, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump vs. Harvard, Deportations & Due Process, The Left’s Green Promises Fail Again” on Spreaker.

Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney and National Review Contributing Editor Andy McCarthy joins Greg for Tuesday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Today, they tackle Harvard’s complaining about the Trump administration’s demands, the legal fight over an illegal immigrant deported to El Salvador, and fresh evidence that the left’s climate promises don’t add up.

First, they highlight Harvard’s response to having more than $2 billion in federal grants frozen for refusing to comply with Trump administration orders targeting antisemitism and more. Andy questions why a wealthy institution like Harvard relies on taxpayer dollars at all, but also warns against government overreach—regardless of party. Meanwhile, Greg notes the irony of Harvard objecting to federal pressure when the left regularly uses it to punish conservative schools and organizations.

Next, they examine the legal fight surrounding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant deported to El Salvador and now imprisoned there. A federal judge has ruled that Garcia must be returned to the U.S. due to a violation of his due process rights. Andy explains why the court is legally correct and critiques the White House’s arguments on the issue. Greg questions why the U.S. government makes it so easy for people to enter illegally but so difficult to remove them. Andy points to the man he says is responsible for this mess.

Finally, they dissect a Washington Post analysis revealing that many “green” home retrofits don’t produce energy savings for years—or even decades. Andy argues this underscores how the environmental left’s agenda is filled with economic and environmental contradictions. He also points out that some of these so-called green initiatives are actually terrible for the environment in many ways.

Improving Pentagon Priorities, Can Trump Tame Inflation? The Left’s Lame Lawfare

February 14, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Improving Pentagon Priorities, Can Trump Tame Inflation? The Left’s Lame Lawfare” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch Podcast, where they dive into Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s refreshing priorities at the Pentagon, Vice President Vance’s accurate diagnosis of Germany’s issues, Trump’s approach to inflation, and the left’s relentless legal efforts to slow the Trump agenda.

First, they focus on Hegseth’s call for a focus on military readiness rather than Pentagon climate change initiatives. Jim and Greg applaud Hegseth for ensuring the Pentagon prioritizes building a military capable of deterring and winning wars. They also discuss Vice President Vance’s remarks on the Russia-Ukraine war and his critique of German policies that have weakened the country’s position on the global stage over the past two decades.

Next, they analyze the latest inflation numbers and reject the left’s immediate attempt to blame Trump for a three percent year-over-year increase in January. While they acknowledge that economic changes take time, they highlight that Americans will expect real progress by the end of the year and especially ahead of the midterms. They agree with Trump’s cost-cutting efforts and unleashing American energy to drive prices lower. Will that get the job done?

Finally, they sigh as Democrats launch lawsuit after lawsuit to stop as much of the Trump agenda as possible. While issues like birthright citizenship were always likely to end up in court, the left’s relentless efforts to roll back orders that are clearly within Trump’s powers, are simply a nuisance. Trump will ultimately prevail in most of these cases, but long will it take to get there?

Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab

November 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack Matt Gaetz withdrawing his bid for Attorney General and President-Elect Trump choosing Pam Bondi as his new nominee, Sen. Bob Casey’s overdue concession, and the UN’s latest attempt to bilk U.S. taxpayers in the name of climate change.

First, they discuss Matt Gaetz stepping aside after multiple GOP senators vowed to oppose his nomination. They also explore Pam Bondi’s record as Florida Attorney General and the potential hurdles in her confirmation process. Plus, they explain why Gaetz’s political future won’t include a Senate or House seat.

Next, they’re glad to see Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. concede his loss to Republican challenger Dave McCormick. But even in this statement, Casey spoke glowingly of election officials in all counties and the legal army he assembled, allegedly to make sure no voters were disenfranchised. Jim and Greg are not impressed but they’re glad he’s finally hitting the bricks.

Finally, they roll their eyes at the UN’s plan to demand $250 billion from the U.S. and other Western nations for climate change initiatives. Even more absurd, the recipient nations are upset it’s not $1 trillion. Thankfully, this misguided scheme is unlikely to survive past Trump’s inauguration.

‘Haunted’ by Hearing Other Views, UNC Faculty’s Revolt, Pentagon Tortures Language Over Gaza

May 8, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “‘Haunted’ by Hearing Other Views, UNC Faculty’s Revolt, Pentagon Tortures Language Over Gaza” on Spreaker.

It’s an all-crazy day as Jim and Greg discuss the unhinged political intolerance of a former mainstream media reporter, professors withholding grades over the consequences for anti-Israel protests, & tortured language and logic at the Pentagon over our policy in Gaza.
First, they sigh as former NBC News and CNN reporter Michelle Kosinski goes on a Twitter rant about how she is “haunted” by a dinner she had with people she refers to as “closeted MAGAts.” Why? Because some were Ivy League grads who didn’t want to send their kids there and others disagreed with the left’s climate change narrative.
Next, they rip the faculty members at the University of North Carolina who are threatening not to turn in end-of-semester grades for any of their students unless the school reverses the suspensions of 15 students for breaking the law during the anti-Israel demonstrations. The UNC provost recommends sanctions against any instructor who does not turn in grades on time. Which side will blink?
Finally, they unload on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and the Biden administration for torturing language and logic, as Austin claims the 1,000 U.S. military personnel who will be constructing a pier on the Gaza coast will not be considered “boots on the ground.”

Red States & the Economy, State Dept. IG Probes Biden’s Iran Envoy, Egypt Fed Up with Hamas

February 19, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Red States & the Economy, State Dept. IG Probes Biden’s Iran Envoy, Egypt Fed Up with Hamas” on Spreaker.

Please pause your celebrations of Benjamin Harrison and James Buchanan on this Presidents Day and join Jim and Greg for good, bad, and crazy martinis.

First, after a few opening thoughts on how celebrating Washington and Lincoln has now been diluted into recognizing all presidents and how we can reverse this, Jim and Greg dig into an ABC News report on how the strongest states economically are predominantly red states. However, the story spends much more time asserting that better weather and progressive cities in red states are the key to success and attracting more businesses and employees. However, the real reasons are simple: lower taxes, right to work laws, and less regulation.

They also welcome a more formal State Department Inspector General investigation into the rather abrupt dismissal and stripping of security clearance for Biden’s Iran envoy, Robert Malley. The Semafor story breaking the news also lays out red flags concerning Malley before Biden even took office.

Finally, they welcome Egypt’s foreign minister getting fed up with Hamas for refusing to recognize Israel and failing to renounce its genocidal tactics in order to bring a ceasefire to the area.

And please enjoy the Presidents Day special Jim and I did about four underappreciated presidents back in 2020. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/america-s-underappreciated-presidents–22780285

Americans Overwhelmingly Back Israel, Biden’s ‘Democracy’ Smokescreen, Now Coffee is Ruining the Planet?

January 23, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Americans Overwhelmingly Back Israel, Biden’s ‘Democracy’ Smokescreen, Now Coffee is Ruining the Planet?” on Spreaker.

Hey, we actually have a good martini today!

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a new Harvard-Harris poll showing 80 percent of Americans support Israel against Hamas. But way too many voters aged 18-34 still think Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

They also dig into Jim’s outstanding Morning Jolt from this morning, explaining how the Biden campaign and other Democrats are focusing the 2024 campaign on the notion that “democracy is at stake” and using it to avoid addressing many different failures of this administration.

Finally, their anger percolates as a World Economic Forum “agenda contributor” suggests drinking coffee is clearly damaging the Earth.

DeSantis Drops Out, Protesters & First Amendment Fallacies, Elites Hate Your Freedom

January 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “DeSantis Drops Out, Protesters & First Amendment Fallacies, Elites Hate Your Freedom” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they start the week with three bad martinis, although the last one also contains a whole lot of crazy.

The start with the inevitable but disappointing news that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is suspending his campaign. It’s hard to think of candidates with stronger conservative principles and a record of accomplishment, but there were serious flaws with the campaign and there was one simple fact DeSantis had no chance of overcoming.

They also fume as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport sent out a tweet on Saturday warning travelers of pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocking roads around the airport. But the airport also called them a “group in vehicles exercising first amendment rights.” But that is completely untrue. So why do these radical activists not suffer any consequences?

Finally, they shudder at new polling showing that most Americans think government has too much control while the elites and Ivy League graduates overewhelmingly think there is too much individual freedom. And just wait until you hear what they advocate to fight “climate change.”

Biden Numbers Plummet Again, Senate GOP Border Surrender? Kerry to Biden’s Rescue?

January 15, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Biden Numbers Plummet Again, Senate GOP Border Surrender? Kerry to Biden’s Rescue?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they tee up three big martinis as we all wait for results in the Iowa Caucuses tonight.

FIrst, they’re thankful Jim was finally able to return home from Iowa. Then they dive into a new ABC poll showing President Biden at just 33 percent approval and 58 percent of Americans disapproving. And less than 30 percent think he mentally or physically up to the job.

Then, they’re horrified by reports indicating that Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford is about to surrender to Democrats on an immigration bill that would only make the border crisis even worse.

Finally, they get a kick out of Biden “climate envoy” John Kerry planning to step down to work directly on Biden’s re-election campaign.

Unanswered Epstein Questions, Mayorkas Border Lies, Dems’ Democracy Double Standard

January 4, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Unanswered Epstein Questions, Mayorkas Border Lies, Dems’ Democracy Double Standard” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they did into three major stories and parental discretion is advised on the first one.

First, they react to the initial revelations of Jeffrey Epstein’s contacts, what it means and doesn’t mean about their conduct, and the many important questions about Epstein that remain unanswered.

Then they hammer Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas for suggesting the record number of illegal immigrants is due to climate change, poverty, and authoritarianism in other nations – not the failed policies that triggered this wave of humanity since day one of this administration.

Finally, President Biden prepares to make his re-election campaign about him being the only one who can save our democracy – at the very same time Democrats in multiple states are refusing to hold primaries and denying Biden’s challengers and voters a chance their shot at a democratic outcome.
