Brian Riedl of the Heritage Foundation says the government currently spends about $26,000 per household every year. But if President Obama gets his wish on health care and energy reform, that number rises to $39,000 per year. So with record deficits already a reality, guess who pays the difference? That’s right! Riedl says the average family will be taxed an additional $13,000 per year (through a variety of means) to pay for this big government agenda.
