There’s a big fight on the right in New York state. There’s a special election there to fill a vacant House seat on Election Day. The Republican party is backing Dede Scozzafava, a state lawmaker with a rather liberal track record. So the Conservative Party is running a candidate of its own in Doug Hoffman. So are conservatives just helping the Democrats win this race or will real Republicans line up behind Hoffman? We ask Mike Long, chairman of the Conservative Party of New York.
