In a new message, the second highest figure in al qaeda calls the election of Barack Obama a defeat for the Bush policy in Iraq but Ayman al-Zawahiri also attacks Obama with racial epithets and says Obama will fail too because he will continue Bush’s policies.  So what should we read from this message?  And what about Obama might be stirring considerable fear among theterrorists?  We’ll ask those questions and get insight into the epidemic of Somali pirate attacks as we speak with Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, Vice President for Research at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
