Auto Jobs Coming Back to U.S., Trumps’s Execrable Comments, Pelosi’s PC Dogma

Yes, we’re talking about Trump’s immigration comments, but no, you don’t have to worry about your kids hearing bad language.  Today, Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer great news in the automotive industry as Fiat Chrysler announces it is investing a billion dollars in Michigan and planning to add 2,500 jobs to build Ram pickup trucks again.  This follows earlier news that Toyota and Mazda will team to build a $1.6 billion plant in Alabama and employ up to 4,000 people.  They also recoil at President Trump’s attitude towards people in deeply troubled nations, noting that it’s fair to point out there are many horribly corrupt and crime-ridden nations in various parts of the world and re-evaluate immigration policy but deeply wrong to suggest those people have no value.  At the same time, many Trump critics suggest that diversity is what makes America great, and Greg and Jim set them straight.  And they shake their heads as Nancy Pelosi dismisses congressional immigration negotiators as “five white guys” – including her top deputy among House Democrats – as she called for more diversity in the group.

Linda Sanchez says House Democrats need new leadership, leading one Nancy Pelosi ally to suggest such criticism of Pelosi is sexist.  They also shake their heads as feminists, celebrities, and many Democrats are suddenly silent in the wake of extensive sexual misconduct allegations – and settlements – published about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein in the New York Times.  And they roll their eyes as the “Tonight Show” embarrassingly fawns over Hillary Clinton.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America enjoy watching Nancy Pelosi get drowned out by amnesty activists who think she and Chuck Schumer are not doing enough for people who are in the U.S. illegally.  They also discuss the revelation that the feds did in fact wiretap former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort before and after the 2016 election.  And they have no problem with President Trump referring to Kim Jong-Un as “Rocket Man,” given that decades of professional diplomatic statements have achieved so little.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America react to President Trump making a deal with Democratic leaders to enact DACA into law in exchange for “massive border security” that has yet to be defined.  They also sigh as the Trump administration continues sanctions relief for Iran in conjunction with the nuclear deal it still hasn’t scrapped.  And they slam the White House for suggesting ESPN anchor Jemele Hill ought to fired for tweeting that Trump is a white supremacist while also blasting Hill and ESPN for their aggressively extreme politics.
