It’s a special day at the Three Martini Lunch, as Jim and Greg celebrate eight years of the podcast by remembering some of their favorite moments. But first, they get welcome the news that Hillary Clinton is back in the public eye because she may be considering another White House run in 2020, which could turn the Democratic primaries into a long, ugly brawl. They also groan as President Trump applauds Montana Rep. Greg Gianforte for body-slamming a reporter last year. And they get a kick out of Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill demanding an investigation into the undercover videos showing her and her campaign staff admitting they need to hide McCaskill’s true positions and campaign contributions from voters
Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are thrilled to see Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez planning to leave Congress and take his toxic, divisive immigration rhetoric with him. They also slam Project Veritas for trying to plant a fake accusation against Roy Moore with the Washington Post in an attempt to discredit the Post’s earlier stories on Moore. And they they sigh as President Trump takes a political shot at Elizabeth Warren by calling her ‘Pocahontas’ while honoring Navajo Code Talkers from World War II at the White House, not because Warren doesn’t deserve criticism for her suspect claims of Cherokee heritage but for injecting politics into a a ceremony that should have been free of it.
Brett Winterble of Radio America and National Review’s Jim Geraghty discuss Pelosi’s advisory for democrats to stay home rather than go to convention. Obama’s economic team is full of CEO’s who’s companies are outsourcing jobs and losing employees. And in a new video, James O’Keefe exposes another liberal group willing to support the collection of government money for a fabricated green job business that specializes in digging and filling in holes.
