California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher didn’t shout anything at President Obama two weeks ago, but he has no trouble calling Obama a liar.  Rohrabacher says Obama was lying about taxpayer-funded abortions and health care for illegals in the speech and it doesn’t stop there.  Rohrabacher is ripping Obama for following up the speech to Congress by essentially telling Hispanics in Congress that he plans to legalize all the illegals in this country – and then he can give them health care.  He says his state of California is the perfect example of why illegal immigrants should not be coddled.   But he says the blame belongs with both parties and both Obama and George W. Bush.

On Tuesday, we learned that Gen. Stanley McChrystal is urging President Obama to deploy thousands of additional troops in order to carry out a more effective strategy in Afghanistan.  Is the assessment right?  What are the conditions right now in Afghanistan?  How should we define victory?  We ask South Carolina Rep. As President Obama and other world leaders urge the world to pursue a new ‘green’ economy, data from a nation where it’s been tried shows renewable energy is a exactly the wrong approach to take in order to boost the economy.  Dr Gabriel Calzada says his home country of Spain has been pursuing a ‘green jobs’ economy for over a decade.  He says the results of a comprehensive study show the ‘green’ effort is a huge job killer.  How many jobs were lost for every ‘green’ job created?  How much has the Spanish government essentially spent to create each green job?  Could the results improve as technology advances?  Why does Dr. Calzada see renewable energy as an economic plan that is doomed wherever is will be tried?

Earlier this year, Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was removed from power by constitutional means for trying to usurp power and stay in office longer than permitted by law.  President Obama has sided with Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez in demanding that Zelaya be put back in power.  Now Obama is baffling observers even more by saying that he does not see the upcoming elections in Honduras as legitimate – even though Zelaya would not be eligible to run anyway.  So why is Obama so insistent upon reinstating a man who would be a lame duck anyway?  Why won’t he recognize the upcoming elections as legitimate?  What message does this send to other Latin American democracies?  Why is this position getting almost no media attention?  We ask former Pentagon official and Washington Times senior editorial writer James Robbins.
