Ford’s Many Inconsistencies, Libs Sucker Flake, Kim Suckers Trump

October 1, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Ford’s Many Inconsistencies, Libs Sucker Flake, Kim Suckers Trump” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America retract their original weak reviews for Rachel Mitchell’s questioning of Dr. Christine Ford last week and marvel at the pile of inconsistencies in Ford’s story past and present.  They also hammer Jeff Flake for believing there was any element of good faith behind Democrats wanting a brief FBI investigation, when it’s now painfully obvious they were only looking for a reason to delay Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination.  And they rip President Trump for saying he and Kim Jong-Un “fell in love,” when reports show North Korea is still pursuing its nuclear and missile programs and supposedly will only scrap them if the U.S. does the same.

Grassley’s Format Flop, Doppelganger Confessions, Kamala’s Reckless Stunt

September 27, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Grassley’s Format Flop, Doppelganger Confessions, Kamala’s Reckless Stunt” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America growl in frustration as the questioning of Dr. Christine Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh is chopped up into five minute chunks for each party, preventing any sort of flow to the GOP’s line of questioning. While some on the right want it to be true, Jim and Greg are skeptical of reports that two men have come forward to the Senate Judiciary Committee suspecting Dr. Ford might be remembering something they did to her. And they fume as California Sen. Kamala Harris forwards an anonymous accusation against Brett Kavanaugh containing virtually no details to the FBI for further scrutiny, leading Jim to suggest the FBI give lawmakers some clues about what they need to conduct an investigation.

Kavanaugh-Related Craziness Abounds

September 21, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Kavanaugh-Related Craziness Abounds” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America dissect three crazy stories related to the confirmation battle over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.  First, they’re baffled by the normally measured legal expert Ed Whelan laying out a possible case of mistaken identity in the alleged assault of Christine Blasey Ford and even offering another name based on where he lived and the floor plan of his house.  They also roll their eyes as Ford’s legal team makes a series of demands before testifying, including the absurd conditions of making Kavanaugh testify first and not allowing committee lawyers question their client.  And they shake their heads as President Trump, after a week of remaining remarkably silent on the issue, suggests on Twitter that Ford would have immediately told police if the attack on her was as bad as she says it was.

Bredesen Breaks Ranks, Libs vs. Reality on Ford, Stumped by Stamps

September 20, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Bredesen’s Bold Move, Libs vs. Reality on Ford, Stumped by Stamps” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer Tennessee Democratic Senate hopeful Phil Bredesen for bucking the talking points from Washington Democrats and saying the Senate should move forward on the Kavanaugh nomination if Christine Ford refuses to testify.  They also roll their eyes as California Rep. Anna Eshoo claims Ford does not have a political bone in her body, which is patently false, and another California congressman mocks the threats liberals are making against Maine Sen. Susan Collins over this issue.  And they have fun with the news that many college students request and fill out absentee ballots but never mail them in because they have no idea where to get a stamp.

Accuser Demands FBI Probe, Dems’ Real Judicial Goal, Severe Sibling Rivalry

September 19, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Accuser Demands FBI Probe, Dems’ Real Judicial Goal, Severe Sibling Rivalry” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America surprisingly find three good martinis for conservatives on Wednesday.  First, they find it interesting that Judge Kavanaugh’s accuser is suddenly refusing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee until an FBI investigation on her accusation is completed.  They also appreciate Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono admitting what a big part of the agenda is for Democrats in this fight, keeping the Supreme Court seat vacant until 2021.  And they get a kick out a Wisconsin man cutting an ad for the opponent of his own brother in a Wisconsin congressional race, leaving Jim and Greg to consider how much more fun it would it would be to conduct sibling fights through 30-second attack ads.
