Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud President Trump for demanding that California return the $2.5 billion it received from the federal government for its high-speed railway after the project was dramatically scaled back. They also raise their eyebrows at Arizona’s plans to collect the DNA of state residents and charge them a fee to do so. And they explain that while our society is very forgiving, it might be asking a bit much to welcome back an ISIS propagandist with open arms.

Gabrielle Giffords, announces he will run against Arizona Sen. Martha McSally next year.  And Jim sounds off on the insincere apologies offered by the likes of Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer a robust October jobs report, which shows 250,000 new jobs last month, rising wages, and job growth in every sector.  They also wince as Ainsley Earhardt of “Fox and Friends” says all President Trump wants from the press is to “be accurate and report the story the way that I want it reported.”  They also chronicle the pathetic flailing of North Dakota Democrats, who are now telling hunters they could lose their hunting licenses in other states if they vote in North Dakota.  And they take a moment to discuss the Green Party U.S. Senate candidate dropping out in Arizona, and Jim says the party is losing it’s greatest marketing ploy of all time.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America sip three good martinis for conservatives today.  They begin by highlighting Cherokee Nation’s slamming of Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test as being any sort confirmation that she belongs in its ranks.  They also discuss Project Veritas exposing the McCaskill campaign in Missouri for taking great pains to prevent voters there from knowing how liberal McCaskill really is.  And they chronicle the litany of bad press for Arizona Democratic Senate hopeful Kyrsten Sinema, including not caring if an American fought for the Taliban in 2003 and bringing in witches for an anti-war vote that same year.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer the results of primaries in Florida and Arizona, pointing out that the GOP enjoyed turnout advantages in both states, and got its best option for holding the Senate seat in Arizona while Democrats nominated an avowed socialist for governor of Florida.  They also unload on a Catholic cardinal from Chicago for suggesting Pope Francis cannot go down “rabbit trails” like rampant allegations of pedophile priests and bishops who covered up the crimes because the pontiff needs to focus more on climate change and building acceptance for migrants.  And they roll their eyes as Democrats and the media (but we repeat ourselves) are horrified that any Republican senator would not immediately rush to rename a Senate office building in honor of John McCain and that any opposition to the idea is an endorsement of the segregationist views of the senator for whom the building is currently named.

Pelosi Gives GOP Huge Gift, Pence Honors Arpaio, Trump Doctor Drama

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are thrilled to hear House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi state she will run for Speaker of the House if Democrats win back the majority. It’s hard to imagine a better talking point for GOP candidates. They also cringe as Vice President Mike Pence gives a shout out to former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio during a visit to Arizona, noting Arpaio’s controversial record and how he would be a sure-fire loser if nominated for the U.S. Senate. And they’re not exactly shocked to learn that Donald Trump dictated the glowing, over-the-top letter released by his doctor in the 2016 campaign that vowed he would be the healthiest person ever to be president of the United States.

GOP Win in Arizona, Right Fawns Over Kanye, Mulvaney & Lobbyists

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America welcome a Republican win in an Arizona congressional race, although the margin should have been a lot wider.  They also groan as many conservatives suddenly adore Kanye West because of a few tweets that poke the left as being the thought police.  And they discuss the furor over Budget Director Mick Mulvaney admitting he only met with lobbyists who donated to his campaigns while serving in Congress.  While they can see why this seems distasteful, Jim and Greg wonder how people thought politics worked in the real world and they don’t believe the liberal shock and horror for a second.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America welcome a new Axios/Survey Monkey poll showing five incumbent Senate Democrats losing to specific or unnamed Republicans right now and a few others barely ahead.  They also rip California for brazenly impeding efforts of federal immigration officials and wonder where all the liberal love for states’ rights was when Arizona wanted to enforce federal laws when the federal government refused to do it.  And they swat down a Washington Post columnist for suggesting the U.S. pursue a socialist system and dig deeper into why so many people are not satisfied with the way things are going right now.

Public Sours on Anti-Gun Businesses, GOP Dodges Scandal, No Tax = No Obamacare?

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss new polling showing public perception dropping for businesses that are publicly breaking ties with the NRA, due entirely to a massive plunge in favorability among Republicans.  They also breathe a sigh of relief as Republicans in Arizona’s eighth congressional district reject the frontrunner in the primary after the married minister was caught exchanging inappropriate texts with a female staffer.  And they wish the best of luck to 20 state attorneys general who argue that all of Obamacare should be declared unconstitutional now that the tax provision that saved it at the Supreme Court in 2012 has been scrapped in the new tax law.
