Losing Dems Play Victim Cards, Impeachment Tears, More Dems to Run?

November 12, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Losing Dems Play Victim Cards, Impeachment Tears, More Dems to Run?” on Spreaker.

Jim is back! Join us for the Tuesday edition of the Three Martini Lunch as he and Greg get a kick out of candidates like Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar playing the race and gender cards against Democratic primary voters to explain why their campaigns are struggling. They also roll their eyes at reports that Democrats are trying to get witnesses to cry in the open impeachment hearings in order to build emotional support for President Trump’s impeachment. And they discuss why even more Democrats – like Eric Holder and Deval Patrick – are seriously looking at late entries into the 2020 campaign.

Cruz’n Ahead of Beto, Holder’s Horrible Advice, Bredesen’s Big Con

October 11, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Cruz'n Ahead of Beto, Holder's Horrible Advice, Bredesen's Big Con” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are pleased to see Ted Cruz opening up a nine point lead over Beto O’Rourke in the Texas U.S. Senate race and it looks like very few voters are likely to change their minds.  They also react to former Attorney General Eric Holder telling activists that when Republicans go low, Democrats should kick them.  And Democrat Phil Bredesen’s Tennessee campaign staffers are caught on camera admitting Bredesen really hates Trump and only said he would have voted for Brett Kavanaugh to pander to moderate Republicans.

Kavanaugh Confirmed, Libs’ Call SCOTUS Illegitimate, White Women = ‘Gender Traitors’

October 8, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Kavanaugh Confirmed, Libs’ Call SCOTUS Illegitimate, White Women=’Gender Traitors'” on Spreaker.

Alexandra DeSanctis of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud the Senate for confirming Brett Kavanaugh and, more importantly, for standing up for defending some of the most fundamental principles of the American system of government.  They also sigh as former Attorney General Eric Holder says the legitimacy of the Supreme Court is now in question and only upcoming rulings can answer the question, and Justice Elena Kagan questions whether the high court is legitimate now that there’s no obvious swing justice like Anthony Kennedy or Sandra Day O’Connor.  Alexandra sounds off on a New York Times op-ed calling white women gender traitors who benefit from keeping the patriarchy in place.  And they roll their eyes as Columbus, Ohio, stops observing Columbus Day.

Holding House Looks Tough, Blankenship Returns, Dems Line up for 2020

July 24, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Holding House Looks Tough, Blankenship Returns, Dems Line up for 2020” on Spreaker.
Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America recoil as political prognosticator Larry Sabato predicts Democrats will win the House in the midterm elections and shows that 33 of 36 toss-up seats are held by Republicans.  They also shudder as Don Blankenship files papers to run as a third party candidate in the West Virginia Senate race.  And they get ready for a very crowded 2020 Democratic presidential primary as former Attorney General Eric Holder and Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan seriously explore White House bids.

Karen Handels Ossoff, Dems’ Post Georgia Disarray, Holder Hints At 2020

June 21, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America celebrate Republican Karen Handel’s win over Democrat Jon Ossoff in Georgia’s special congressional election. They also enjoy watching Democrats fight publicly over what went wrong in a race that was supposedly a referendum on President Trump and a model for winning back the House in 2018. And they react to the news that former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder plans to be much more visible in his “resistance” to President Trump and might run for president in 2020.
