Closer to a Tax Cut, Disney to Gobble Up Fox, Strzok’s ‘Insurance Policy’

December 14, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are cautiously optimistic that Republicans may soon pass a tax cut and while the proposal is not perfect, it moves in the right direction on a number of fronts.  They also react to Disney becoming an even more mammoth presence in entertainment with the news it is paying over $52 billion to buy most assets of Fox.  And they discuss the latest hit to the credibility of the Russia investigation, as a recently fired Mueller deputy referred to pursuing an “insurance policy” just in case Trump won the election.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss Republicans forcing a runoff in Georgia’s sixth congressional district and recall the many highly-touted red state Democrats that never panned out.  They’re also stunned that Fresno police do not consider a person who murdered people because of their race and shouted “Allahu Akbar” to be suspected of terrorism.  And they react to reports that Bill O’Reilly is likely on his way out at Fox News.

VA Boss Fed Up, More Fox News Allegations, Powerless Dems Make Demands

April 4, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud Veterans Affairs Sec. David Shulkin for demanding broader authority to fire personnel, such as the one recently discovered to be viewing pornography while with a patient.  They also discuss the latest round of sexual harassment allegations aimed at Fox News.  And they get a kick out of powerless Senate Democrats trying to make demands in exchange for allowing Neil Gorsuch to get confirmed.

Three Martini Lunch 12/1/16

December 1, 2016 by GregC

http://dateline.radioamerica.org/podcast/3-Martini-Lunch-12-1-16.mp3

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America have all crazy news today.  They slam Pres. Obama for suggesting that Fox News being on in restaurants and bars is the reason Democrats fell short in 2016.  They also unload on BuzzFeed for demanding to know whether popular HGTV hosts agree with their pastor about homosexuality being a sin –  which leads to a bunch of fun tangents about HGTV in general.  And they rip Democrats and the media for throwing a hissy fit about the Electoral College and even intimidating electors just weeks after clutching their pearls about Trump possibly not accepting the election results.

Three Martini Lunch 9/29/16

September 29, 2016 by GregC

http://dateline.radioamerica.org/podcast/3-Martini-Lunch-9-29-16.mp3

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud Congress for overturning an Obama veto by huge margins and allowing 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia.  They also sigh as Fox News is forced to tell their hosts that online polls about who won Monday’s debate are not the same as a scientific poll.  And they wonder what Gary Johnson is smoking as he fails to name a single leader he respects.  Actually, we’re pretty sure we know what he’s smoking.
