Trump Warns Tehran, Does Trump Trust Tulsi? Mayor Bass Admits Exploiting Illegals

June 17, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Warns Tehran, Does Trump Trust Tulsi? Mayor Bass Admits Exploiting Illegals” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for this Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they examine President Trump’s intensifying pressure on Iran, the curious absence of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard from a key national security meeting prior to recent Israeli military action, and what Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass inadvertently revealed during her comments about immigrants in LA.

First, they discuss President Trump’s choice to cut his visit to the G7 summit unexpectedly short. Afterward, he issued several social media posts putting Iran’s feet to the fire. They discuss Trump’s consistency on refusing to allow Iran to have nuclear weapons and consider precisely what assistance he’s willing to provide to Israel.

Next, they wonder why Tulsi Gabbard did not attend the recent national security meeting at Camp David just days before Israel launched pre-emptive strikes inside Iran. Was she not invited? Did she choose not to come? And does this explain her cryptic video about being on the brink of nuclear annihilation just days later?

Finally, they shake their heads again as Mayor Bass says much of the city’s economy would suffer without immigrants. Of course, she won’t distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants. She reveals the stark truth that California’s economy functions on the backs of exploited illegal immigrants, leaving Jim and Greg to wonder how anyone could support her as mayor.

Gov. Newsom’s LA Riot Money Trail, Is Iran Conflict Imminent, Mayor Bass Floundering Again

June 12, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Gov. Newsom’s LA Riot Money Trail, Is Iran Conflict Imminent, Mayor Bass Floundering Again” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they break down the money trail that might explain Gov. Newsom’s reluctance to confront the LA rioters, whether the evacuation of some U.S. personnel and their families means we’re on the brink of major conflict in the Middle East, and the staggering incompetence of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

First, they dig into reports suggesting California Gov. Gavin Newsom was uninterested in maintaining order during the recent LA riots because the group sponsoring the protest, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, contributed nearly half a million dollars and a lot of manpower to help him survive the 2021 recall.

Next, they wonder how to interpret the State Department’s decision to remove some U.S. personnel and their dependents from Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Are we on the brink of conflict over Iran’s nuclear program or is this simply a move to pressure Iran to accept the U.S. nuclear deal?

Finally, they head back to Los Angeles as Mayor Karen Bass continues to ooze incompetence. And she is still blaming the rioting, the looting, and the property destruction on President Trump and his followers. Jim explains how Bass has now badly failed two big tests over the past six months and reminds us that Bass was on Joe Biden’s short list for a running mate in 2020.

Fire & ICE in LA, Media Calls Riots Fun & Flames, Gillibrand’s Midterm Misdirection

June 9, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Fire & ICE in LA, Media Calls Riots Fun & Flames, Gillibrand’s Midterm Misdirection” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for this Monday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch where they discuss the riots in Los Angeles, the media’s spin on the riots as well as President Trump ordering the National Guard to help, and New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s hypocritical new plan for putting Democrats back in the majority.

First, they are aghast at the general unrest in Los Angeles as ICE agents seek to round up criminal illegal immigrants. Although being just an eight-minute walk from the LAPD, it took two hours for police to respond to the attacks on the Roybal Federal Building. California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and former VP Kamala Harris all claim overreach by President Trump for sending in the National Guard, but Jim and Greg note how the LAPD initially seemed disinterested in ending the violence. Now the LAPD itself is claiming to be overwhelmed.

Next, Jim and Greg disdain the comical media coverage of the ‘mostly peaceful’ LA riots. Local and federal sources say people are merely enjoying themselves as they watch fires burn, yet Jim has yet to see them enjoying chocolate and marshmallows around the burning cars. For some reason, Democrats are so afraid of appearing to be Trump supporters that they cannot stand by simple expectations of peace, law, and order.

Last, they scoff at Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s plans to bring Democrats back to power by urging moderate Senate candidates in 2026. She’s a strange person to deliver that message after her history of pretending to be a moderate in the House and then immediately becoming a far left U.S. Senator. Jim blithely recalls Gillibrand’s pitiful and long forgotten attempt at running for president in 2020.

Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest

January 8, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss hopes rising for the Laken Riley Act to pass the Senate, horror and blame as the California wildfires rage, and Trump’s new ideas for the western hemisphere.

First, they celebrate the passage of the Laken Riley Act in the House, with nearly a dozen more Democrats supporting it than in the past. Now, the focus shifts to the Senate, where seven more Democratic votes are needed to pass the bill. Jim and Greg are encouraged by the bill’s momentum and applaud Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman for speaking candidly to his party about the importance of the legislation.

Next, they dive into the devastating California wildfires, as shocking images and videos emerge from Pacific Palisades and beyond. Jim and Greg discuss the chaos of the situation, including Mayor Karen Bass being out of the country during the first few days of the crisis. They explore the conditions that turned these fires into a nightmare and examine how environmental policies that are meant to help are instead making the problem worse.

Finally, they discuss Donald Trump’s latest press conference and his interest in acquiring Greenland, the Panama Canal, and even Canada. He also proposed renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. Jim and Greg explain what they think Trump is doing and get a kick out of the left once again getting hysterical over everything Trump does.

The Lasting Impact of O.J. Simpson: How the Trial Still Impacts Media, Culture, Race & More

April 11, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “The Lasting Impact of O.J. Simpson: How the Trial Still Impacts Media, Culture, Race & More” on Spreaker.

On Thursday, we learned that O.J. Simpson died after a battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. In the mid-1990’s, his murder trial dominated news coverage and divided a nation. Today, Jim and Greg look back, but not as a trip down memory lane. Instead, it’s about understanding why this was such a massive story and the impact that the O.J. saga still has on our nation today.

Younger Americans may know him only as an accused murderer, if they remember him at all. If you’re a bit older, you remember the star athlete, actor, and football commentator who was beloved throughout the nation. It’s a fall from grace that Jim and Greg chronicle to explain just how stunning it was that Simpson was accused of murdering ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman.

From there, Jim and Greg dig into the legal and media circus that played out in the murder trial, on the news, in late night television and beyond. The story engulfed our culture in ways that we still feel today – and not for the better.

Finally, they examine the legacy of O.J. at his death – nearly 30 years after he was accused of two savage murders.

July 20, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Vaccine Progress, Extreme Teachers’ Unions, Kasich to Speak at DNC” on Spreaker.

Rob Long is in for Jim today.  Join Rob and Greg as they welcome encouraging news about a coronavirus vaccine.  They also unload on the United Teachers Los Angeles union for wanting Medicare for All, a moratorium on new charter schools, a wealth tax, and defunding of police before they’re comfortable going back into the classroom.  And they have fun with the most predictable news of 2020…John Kasich will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention.

May 13, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Good Night for GOP, LA’s Lost Summer, CNN’s Latest Embarrassment” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer one certain Republican win in a congressional election on Tuesday and a likely win in another, but also wonder what a national election based mostly on voting by mail will look like. They also slam officials in Los Angeles County for announcing the stay-at-home order is being extended for another three months. And they blast CNN for booking Greta Thunberg to be an expert guest for its coronavirus town hall.
