NYT’s Latest Leftward Lurch, The Gullible White House Interns, Boston’s ‘Electeds of Color’ Party

December 15, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “NYT’s Latest Leftward Lurch, The Gullible White House Interns, Boston’s ‘Electeds of Color’ Party” on Spreaker.

Jim and Greg finish off the week with three important martinis, right after they give the very predictable update of that Hamas official from yesterday saying his comments were “taken out of context” and that he does not support the recognition of Israel.

Then they give credit to former New York Times Editorial Page Editor James Bennet for savaging the paper by evolving from taking sides in debates to shutting down opposing viewpoints and serving only as an echo chamber for progressives about a world that doesn’t really exist. Bennet was ousted in 2020 after running an op-ed from Sen. Tom Cotton that argued for bringing in troops to quell the riots in American cities.  That decision led to a newsroom revolt at the Times.

They also scratch their heads over reports that the White House intern letter demanding a ceasefire in the Middle East was started in a group chat by someone none of the interns knew. Jim explains why that story raises multiple serious concerns.

Finally, they shake their heads at the obvious double standard as Boston officials take heat getting caught holding an “Electeds of Color” holiday party, to which white city council members were not supposed to be invited but accidentally were.

College Presidents’ Rank Hypocrisy, FBI Ignores Need for Warrants, White House Interns Demand Ceasefire

December 6, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “College Presidents’ Rank Hypocrisy, FBI Ignores Need for Warrants, White House Interns Demand Ceasefire” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Penn having a very hard time deciding whether large groups of students calling for genocide in Israel constitute harassing speech. It’s especially hypocritical when considering how quick these administrators are to champion BLM, feminists, and the LGBT activists.

They also cheer Utah Sen. Mike Lee for blasting FBI Director Christopher Wray for the bureau’s failure to to pursue warrants in seeking information on American citizens in all 103 cases in which it was required.

Finally, they roll their eyes as White House interns go public with a letter to President Biden demanding a ceasefire in the Middle East.

And they offer real time reaction to the news that former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will resign from Congress later this month.

Sanders Staffers Berned, Exit Delaney? CNN Debate “Draw-ma”

July 19, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Sanders Staffers Berned, Exit Delaney? CNN Debate “Draw-ma”” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America chuckle at Bernie Sanders reportedly underpaying his unionized staffers while promising to raise the federal minimum wage. They discuss reports that John Delaney is facing pressure from his own team to withdraw from the presidential race. And they share a laugh at CNN and Wolf Blitzer for their over the top handling of the draw for the July 30 and July 31 Democratic debates.
