Princeton & Racism, Mail-In Vote Loopholes, Biden’s Fracking Doublespeak

September 18, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Princeton & Racism, Mail-In Vote Loopholes, Biden’s Fracking Doublespeak” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they chronicle how Princeton University’s self-flagellation over systemic racism launched a federal investigation into whether they should no longer qualify for taxpayer dollars. They also cringe as two swing states (and, yes, Nevada is one of them) create mail-in voting loopholes that erode confidence in the system. And they hammer Joe Biden for claiming to be for and against fracking in the same answer.

Closing the Consulate, Police Replacement Problems, Biden’s Bad History

July 23, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Closing the Consulate, Police Replacement Problems, Biden’s Bad History” on Spreaker.

Rob Long is in for Jim again today.  Today, Rob and Greg kick off the 2020 Major League Baseball season by enjoying a parody of how the Washington Nationals are failing to keep up with today’s woke cultural standards.  Then they cheer the U.S. for closing down the Chinese consulate in Houston.  They also chronicle a massive failure in Minneapolis as the effort to replace police there proves rather challenging.  And they roll their eyes as Joe Biden claims President Trump is America’s first racist president for calling the coronavirus the Chinese virus.  They also use the opportunity to bash the most racist president of in American history.

Kamala Calls It Quits, Mayor Pete Plays the Race Card, Sanctuary Cities & Double Standards

December 4, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Kamala Calls It Quits, Mayor Pete Plays the Race Card, Sanctuary Cities & Double Standards” on Spreaker.

After a brief mention of today’s impeachment hearings, Jim and Greg launch into Wednesday’s real martinis.  First, they take deep satisfaction in watching the end of the Kamala Harris presidential campaign and chronicle the many things that went wrong for her.  They also slam Pete Buttigieg for saying that anyone who supports President Trump is “looking the other way on racism, at best.”  And they note that after three years of liberals cheering on sanctuary cities and counties over immigration policy, they suddenly have the vapors as conservative counties in Virginia adopt sanctuary policies against upcoming gun control legislation from the incoming Democratic majorities.

Reporter Actually Meets Red State Voters, Trump vs. Corker, Math is Racist

October 24, 2017 by GregC

David French of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud former NPR CEO Ken Stern for taking the time to meet voters in red states and realizing they are nothing like the caricature offered by the mainstream media.  They’re also exasperated as President Trump and Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker resume their public feud and accomplish nothing other than choke momentum for tax reform and tax cuts.  And they react with disgust to a University of Illinois professor who argues that proficiency in algebra and geometry perpetuates unearned white privilege and that “mathematics itself operates as Whiteness.”

Trump’s Solid Court Picks, NFL to Stand? Crazy Left Targets Melania Over Books

September 29, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud President Trump’s nomination of Don Willett and James Ho for spots on the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.  They also are cautiously optimistic that this NFL weekend might actually focus on football as three teams announce they will be standing for the national anthem.  And they throw up their hands as a anti-Trump elementary school librarian publicly rejects the donation of Dr. Seuss books from First Lady Melania Trump, while also slamming Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and falsely accusing Dr. Seuss of racism.

Trump’s Troubling Response, The ‘But Obama’ Defense, Media Misdirection

August 14, 2017 by GregC

David French of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America address the horrific violence in Charlottesville over the weekend.  David and Greg criticize President Trump’s failure to condemn the specific white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups that led the marches and the connection of the man who committed the vehicular homicide– particularly when the president has a history of getting specific with other targets.  They also groan as far too many on the right deflect from President Trump’s stumbles by pointing out egregious mistakes President Obama made along similar lines – mistakes the same people roundly condemned.  And they ridicule the news media for grossly manipulating terrorism statistics to suggests right-wingers kill more Americans than Islamic radicals and for relying on the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center to decide who is a right-wing extremist.

Three Martini Lunch 12/8/16

December 8, 2016 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are glad to see Jill Stein’s quixotic recount journey get shut down in Michigan and headed towards an anticlimactic finish in Wisconsin.  They slam the media for only now realizing that many of the new jobs created in the Obama years are low-wage, part time openings that aren’t a long-term solution for families.  And they unload on CNN for suggesting that racism was behind the fierce Republican opposition to President Obama’s agenda.

December 2, 2016 by GregC

http://dateline.radioamerica.org/podcast/3-Martini-Lunch-12-2-16.mp3

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud Donald Trump for selecting retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis to be Secretary of Defense.  They also roll their eyes as Clinton campaign officials contend white supremacists won the election for Trump.  And they explain why Trump’s deal is good for Carrier employees but a bad model to follow as an economic policy.
