Columbia Cracks Down, Bernie’s Brazen Hypocrisy, Biden Blames Sexism & Racism for Kamala’s Loss

May 8, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Columbia Cracks Down, Bernie’s Brazen Hypocrisy, Biden Blames Sexism & Racism for Kamala’s Loss” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for Wednesday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they break down Columbia University’s improved handling of anti-Israel demonstrators, Bernie Sanders’ laughable defense of private jet travel, and Joe Biden’s worn-out excuses for why Kamala Harris lost to President Trump in 2024.

First, they blast the chaos at Columbia’s Butler Library, where pro-Hamas protesters disrupted students preparing for finals. But Jim and Greg give credit to the NYPD for requiring students to identify themselves before exiting and to the acting university president for offering one of the strongest administrative condemnations yet of these campus takeovers.

Next, they shake their heads in amazement as Sen. Bernie Sanders says he needs to travel on private planes for his “Fighting Oligarchy Tour.” Sanders says it’s absurd to expect him to stand in line at airports like everyone else. Jim and Greg compare Sanders’ hypocrisy to globe-trotting climate activists who, also use private jets, and insist they’re above the rules they champion.

Finally, they’re glad to see Joe Biden is still alive based on his appearance today on The View. But Biden’s pathetic suggestions that racism and sexism are responsible for Kamala Harris losing in 2024 are really getting old. They also point out that Harris likely tanked her own campaign because of an appearance on The View in October. And Jim cites recent revelations about Biden’s inner circle reportedly trashing her to donors behind the scenes while trying to salvage his campaign.

Trump Targets Federal Bureaucracy, Columbia in Chaos, Simple Gratitude Sparks Outrage

March 31, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Targets Federal Bureaucracy, Columbia in Chaos, Simple Gratitude Sparks Outrage” on Spreaker.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women’s Forum fills in for Jim today on 3 Martini Lunch Join Inez and Greg as they break down President Trump’s executive order ending collective bargaining for federal employees in key national security roles, the escalating turmoil at Columbia University, and the backlash Inez faced online for simply expressing gratitude for her husband.

First, Inez explains why Trump’s order removing collective bargaining for federal employees at the Pentagon, State Department, Homeland Security, EPA, and other agencies is long overdue. She argues that as head of the executive branch, the president should have the authority to determine who works for him. Inez also highlights the absurd difficulty of firing even the worst-performing federal employees under the current system.

Next, they examine the latest controversy at Columbia University, where President Trump pushed for action against rampant anti-Semitism on campus. Interim President Katrina Armstrong reportedly agreed to Trump’s demands to secure $430 million in federal grants but has now resigned amid faculty backlash. Inez shares why it’s absurd that Columbia gets so much taxpayer money in the first place and how the school now finds intself in a tight political spot.

Finally, Inez became the center of a social media storm after tweeting her appreciation for her husband taking care of their baby when Inez wasn’t feeling well. The post triggered outrage, with critics arguing men shouldn’t be thanked for basic parenting duties. Inez responds to the backlash and explores why her simple expression of gratitude sparked such intense reactions, particularly among women.

Bragg Frees Columbia Criminals, Left Unhinged on Education, The War on Paper Towels

June 21, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Bragg Frees Columbia Criminals, Left Unhinged on Education, The War on Paper Towels” on Spreaker.

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Join Scot and Greg as they discuss Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s dropping charges against most of the Columbia students arrested to taking over a campus building, the latest delusional narratives from anti-school choice leftists, and Good Morning America’s bizarre campaign against paper towels.

There are no good martinis today, so Scot and Greg start by tearing into Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for giving the Columbia students who occupied a building (and held a custodian hostage) a free pass on the grounds that the university would handle their discipline internally and that there somehow wasn’t sufficient evidence to charge them. They point out the glaring double standard in how Bragg treats individuals who line up with his political preferences.

They next raise a double-fisted bad martini to the unhinged anti-school choice rhetoric that leftists are pushing, starting with Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Gates claiming that conservatives want black children to stay illiterate. They then delve into Scientific American’s push for greater federal regulation of homeschooling, specifically parents, and why it makes no sense.

Finally, they puzzle over “Good Morning America’s” stunning and brave stand against paper towels as it offers various (ineffective) alternatives to viewers. Scot notes that the point of these useless alternatives is really to feel better about yourself, not to get anything done.

Real World Consequences for Columbia, The Bogus Hamas Ceasefire, Dems & Race

May 7, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Real World Consequences for Columbia, The Bogus Hamas Ceasefire, Dems & Race” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg, who actually have a good martini today, along with an absurdly bad one, and some crazy double standards for Democrats.

First, they welcome thirteen federal judges warning Columbia University that they will no longer accept the school’s students as law clerks after the trespassing protests that commandeered a building and university leaders allowed it all to happen. They do want to make sure that students who didn’t break the law don’t get punished for the crimes of others, but it is a warning to Columbia that if it wants to be taken seriously, the worst elements on campus cannot be calling the shots.

Next, they roll their eyes as Hamas agrees to a Middle East ceasefire that had never been on the table. Jim labels the plan an unacceptable counterproposal and explains why. He also blasts much of the mainstream media for proclaiming that Hamas had agreed to the deal and putting the pressure on Israel to consent to it.

Finally, they note racial rhetoric from two Democrats that got some pushback but would have likely meant the end of any Republican’s political career. The latest comes from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul who claimed that kids on the Bronx don’t even know the word “computer.” They also note Maryland Rep. David Trone, who is also running for U.S. Senate, using a racial slur during a committee hearing back in March. Trone says he uttered the wrong word, and it’s likely that he did, but we all know the political volcano that would have ensued if a GOP lawmaker had said it.

Cops Clear Columbia Cosplay, The Federal Financial Aid Fiasco, Biden Mulls Gaza Refugees

May 1, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Cops Clear Columbia Cosplay, The Federal Financial Aid Fiasco, Biden Mulls Gaza Refugees” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the end of the anti-Israel encampment at Columbia while relishing the leftist insanity on open display. Plus, Jim fumes over the federal government’s persistent failures to help families determine financial aid for college, and President Biden considers accepting “refugees” from Gaza.

First, they they cheer the NYPD for declaring the occupation of a Columbia University academic building to be a riot and arresting dozens of trespassing radicals. But they also get a lot of laughs out of the demonstrators’ earlier, convoluted demands that the university provide or allow “humanitarian aid” – meaning food and water – as they illegally controlled the building.

Next, Jim sounds off as the U.S. Department of Education failed repeatedly to allow high school seniors to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms in a timely manner and are now delaying critical financial aid information. The website was unusable for months after it was promised to be functioning and one major glitch was not fixed until yesterday. They also discuss how this is yet another area in which the federal government has no business being in charge and makes life much tougher for Americans.

Finally, they fume as President Biden reportedly considers allowing refugees from Gaza to enter the United States, even though no Middle East country is willing to take in these people and the vast majority of people in Gaza hate the United States.

Seinfeld vs. Woke Left, Columbia Radicals Running the Campus, U.S. Doesn’t Need a ‘Momala’

April 30, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Seinfeld vs. Woke Left, Columbia Radicals Running the Campus, U.S. Doesn’t Need a ‘Momala'” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg today we they cheer Jerry Seinfeld for correctly accusing the woke left of killing comedy as we knew it for generations, hammer the administrators at Columbia University for continuing to let the inmates run the asylum, and cringe as Drew Barrymore (and way too many other Americans) see themselves as the children of our politicians.
First, they agree wholeheartedly with comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld’s contention that the woke left’s obsession with never being offended has effectively killed television comedies and many other forms of the art. And Jim adds that comedy is also a problem for the left because it helps people see their shared life experiences…and that’s bad for a movement who is constantly seeking to divide us.
Next, they unload on the president and other administrators at Columbia University. After setting another deadline for the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel demonstrators to clear their encampment, there were no consequences when the protesters ignored it. Later, the campus radicals took over an academic building and administrators are, thus far, doing nothing about it.
Finally, they groan as TV host Drew Barrymore tells Vice President Kamala Harris, “We need you to be Momala for the country.”Jim and Greg explain why they think it is painfully wrong for Americans to think of themselves as the children of our political leaders. However, this is nothing new, and they look back at a cringeworthy moment from a presidential campaign decades ago that provided momentum for this warped notion.

The Feds’ Chilling Title IX Nonsense, Biden Equivocates on Campus Protests, Sheetz Sued for Not Hiring Ex-Cons

April 23, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “The Feds’ Chilling Title IX Nonsense, Biden Equivocates on Campus Protests, Sheetz Sued for Not Hiring Ex-Cons” on Spreaker.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women’s Forum and host of the “High Noon” podcast is in for Jim. Today, we discuss President Biden’s absurd changes to Title IX, his feckless equivocating on anti-Semitic college protests, and his federal bureaucrats harassing a business for not hiring criminals.
First, they break down the Biden Department of Education’s radical changes to Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, adding gender identity protections to an area of law specifically focused on ensuring opportunities for women and girls. Now, the government will force schools at every level to allow students and personnel to use whichever bathroom they identify with, compel speech through mandatory preferred pronoun usage, and strip college students of due process rights when accused of sexual misconduct.
Then, they react to the latest in the anti-Semitic protests happening at Columbia University and many other far-left, supposedly elite institutions. They also react to President Biden condemning the protests but – in the same breath – also condemning “those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians.”
Finally, they shake their heads as Biden-appointed bureaucrats at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sue Sheetz gas stations for racial discrimination by refusing to hire applicants who failed a criminal background check.

Anti-Semites Occupy Campuses, Pritzker Promises Calm DNC, RFK Jr.’s Impact on Michigan

April 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Anti-Semites Occupy Campuses, Pritzker Promises Calm DNC, RFK Jr.’s Impact on Michigan” on Spreaker.

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and Greg tackle virulent anti-Semitism on the campuses of many supposedly elite colleges, Dems’ wishful thinking on this summer’s convention running without major disruptions from protesters, and the impact RFK Jr. may have in Michigan.

First, they chronicle how ugly anti-Semitic protests are consuming campuses from Columbia to MIT to Yale and beyond with demonstrators trying to “occupy” parts of the schools while harassing, intimidating, and threatening Jewish students and faculty. These protests are overtly pro-Hamas now and the “Students for Justice in Palestine” say they plan to bring this to colleges throughout the country.

Next, they roll their eyes as Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker looks at these protests and says he doesn’t expect any problems from them when the Democratic National Convention comes to Chicago this summer. It’s a bold prediction given Chicago’s inability to prevent chaos on a normal day.

Finally, as Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. qualifies for the presidential ballot in Michigan, how big of a factor will he become in a state the Biden campaign is already very nervous about. They also look at some polling about how RFK Jr. may impact the race and the big problem the Trump campaign seems to be having in getting supporters to vote.
