Columbia Cracks Down, Bernie’s Brazen Hypocrisy, Biden Blames Sexism & Racism for Kamala’s Loss

May 8, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Columbia Cracks Down, Bernie’s Brazen Hypocrisy, Biden Blames Sexism & Racism for Kamala’s Loss” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for Wednesday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they break down Columbia University’s improved handling of anti-Israel demonstrators, Bernie Sanders’ laughable defense of private jet travel, and Joe Biden’s worn-out excuses for why Kamala Harris lost to President Trump in 2024.

First, they blast the chaos at Columbia’s Butler Library, where pro-Hamas protesters disrupted students preparing for finals. But Jim and Greg give credit to the NYPD for requiring students to identify themselves before exiting and to the acting university president for offering one of the strongest administrative condemnations yet of these campus takeovers.

Next, they shake their heads in amazement as Sen. Bernie Sanders says he needs to travel on private planes for his “Fighting Oligarchy Tour.” Sanders says it’s absurd to expect him to stand in line at airports like everyone else. Jim and Greg compare Sanders’ hypocrisy to globe-trotting climate activists who, also use private jets, and insist they’re above the rules they champion.

Finally, they’re glad to see Joe Biden is still alive based on his appearance today on The View. But Biden’s pathetic suggestions that racism and sexism are responsible for Kamala Harris losing in 2024 are really getting old. They also point out that Harris likely tanked her own campaign because of an appearance on The View in October. And Jim cites recent revelations about Biden’s inner circle reportedly trashing her to donors behind the scenes while trying to salvage his campaign.

Cops Clear Columbia Cosplay, The Federal Financial Aid Fiasco, Biden Mulls Gaza Refugees

May 1, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Cops Clear Columbia Cosplay, The Federal Financial Aid Fiasco, Biden Mulls Gaza Refugees” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the end of the anti-Israel encampment at Columbia while relishing the leftist insanity on open display. Plus, Jim fumes over the federal government’s persistent failures to help families determine financial aid for college, and President Biden considers accepting “refugees” from Gaza.

First, they they cheer the NYPD for declaring the occupation of a Columbia University academic building to be a riot and arresting dozens of trespassing radicals. But they also get a lot of laughs out of the demonstrators’ earlier, convoluted demands that the university provide or allow “humanitarian aid” – meaning food and water – as they illegally controlled the building.

Next, Jim sounds off as the U.S. Department of Education failed repeatedly to allow high school seniors to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms in a timely manner and are now delaying critical financial aid information. The website was unusable for months after it was promised to be functioning and one major glitch was not fixed until yesterday. They also discuss how this is yet another area in which the federal government has no business being in charge and makes life much tougher for Americans.

Finally, they fume as President Biden reportedly considers allowing refugees from Gaza to enter the United States, even though no Middle East country is willing to take in these people and the vast majority of people in Gaza hate the United States.

Trump Stands with Police, Palestinian ‘Martyr Payments,’ Pope Says Weapons Don’t Bring Peace

April 1, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Trump Stands with Police, Palestinian ‘Martyr Payments,’ Pope Says Weapons Don’t Bring Peace” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty is back! We’ll have a full review of his time in Ukraine later this week but today he ready to focus on good, bad, and crazy martinis after sharing his thoughts on the passing of Sen. Lieberman last week.

They kick off the martinis by appreciating Donald Trump for attending the wake of slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller and offering appropriate comments afterwards about how we need a major shift in how this country views police officers. Jim says moments like this are also why Trump holds narrow leads in virtually all of the swing states.

Next, they sigh as the Biden administration thinks it found a partner in Middle East peace with the Palestinian Authority. But first, the U.S. is trying to convince this supposedly more responsible group’s leaders to stop paying the families of people committing terrorist attacks against Israel. If that’s a real dilemma for the Palestinian Authority, its commitment to last peace seems more than a little dubious.

Finally, they chide Pope Francis for using part of his Easter message to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East and his curious contention that “peace is never made with weapons, but with outstretched hands and open hearts.” That sounds nice but it’s not always true and not realistic when dealing with bloodthirsty perpetrators of evil like Hamas.

Sanctions on N. Korea, Media’s 2020 Obsession, Dunkin’ Donuts Disorder

August 7, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America like the new sanctions approved against North Korea, and they really like to see China, Russia, and other countries cooperating in this effort to rein in the isolated nation.  They rip the New York Times for suggesting Vice President Mike Pence is planning to run for president in 2020 if President Trump does not, all because Pence is doing a lot of fundraising events — and they enjoy a little Kasich-bashing as the same Times article conjectures about Ohio Gov. John Kasich launching a primary challenge to Trump. And they react to Dunkin’ Donuts blaming a confusing store layout for an employee’s refusal to serve two NYPD officers in Brooklyn.

Cops Give Mayor Cold Shoulder

July 12, 2017 by GregC

http://dateline.radioamerica.org/podcast/7-12-17_COPS_COLD_SHOULDER_MAYOR.mp3

New York cops made a statement Tuesday during the funeral of slain police officer Miosotis Familia. According to Hot Air.com, hundreds of police officers protested New York City mayor Bill de Blasio by turning their backs on him during his speech at the funeral. Familia was brutally gunned down in her patrol car last week by a mentally ill criminal. Her fellow officers are angry with de Blasio after he traveled to Germany one day after the tragedy to protest President Trump, a trip paid for with taxpayer money. The protest was meant to highlight how the mayor missed both an NYPD swearing-in and a vigil held for Familia due to his trip. ~Sarah Schutte
