Encore: Remembering Big GOP Wins in Virginia and Beyond

November 25, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Encore: Remembering Big GOP Wins in Virginia and Beyond” on Spreaker.

Happy Thanksgiving! For your holiday feast, let’s remember our three good martinis following Election Day this year as Jim and Greg rejoice over GOP wins in Virginia, strong showing in New Jersey and other areas Republicans generally don’t do very well, and clear signs that the left didn’t learn a thing from the results.

Youngkin Win Headlines Big Night for GOP

November 3, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Youngkin Win Headlines Big Night for GOP” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for all good martinis today! First, they celebrate Glenn Youngkin’s win over Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor’s race and other good news for GOP candidates in Virginia. They’re also pleasantly surprised by the very strong showing by Jack Ciattarelli in the New Jersey governor’s race, suggesting Republicans can be competitive just about anywhere next year if they play their cards right. They react to Democrats and liberal media pundits learning nothing from the election results and preparing to double down on the same failed strategies. And they highlight more results from around the country that give conservatives reason to smile.

Polls Narrow in NJ, Colluding Against Parents, Legal Rights for Trees?

October 22, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Polls Narrow in NJ, Colluding Against Parents, Legal Rights for Trees?” on Spreaker.

Ricochet.com Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim.  Today, Jon and Greg welcome polls showing just a 4-6 point lead for the Democrat in the New Jersey governor’s race. They also have plenty to say as emails show the National School Board Association and the Biden administration were in contact well before the NSBA publicly asked for the administration’s help in declaring parents domestic terrorists and the Justice Department turned the FBI loose on those same parents. And they have fun with the argument from some on the left that trees need legal rights.

Nervous Dems in New Jersey, Voting By Phone, Biden vs. Biden

September 26, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Nervous Dems in New Jersey, Voting By Phone, Biden vs. Biden” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are pleased to see scandal-ridden New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez in a very tight race against Republican challenger Bob Hugin, even though a GOP win is still considered difficult.  They also give two thumbs down to West Virginia’s plan to allow voters in 24 counties to vote through a smartphone app.  And as Democrats continue to demand an FBI investigation into allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, they get a kick out of then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Joe Biden saying “The next person that refers to an FBI report as being worth anything, obviously doesn’t understand anything” during the 1991 Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings.

GOP Thrashed in Virginia, Dems Romp in NJ & NYC, Flake’s Redundant Gun Bill

November 8, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America break down how the Democrats easily swept the statewide races in Virginia and even reversed a huge GOP majority in the state assembly.  They also discuss easy wins by Democrats in New Jersey and New York City, where the Republicans hardly appear to be a factor anymore.  And they roll their eyes as Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake proposes a law to ban gun sales to people convicted of domestic violence – because that exact law already exists.
