Kamala’s Economic Gaslighting, Walz’s Drunk Driving Episode, Another Secret Service Blunder

August 15, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Kamala’s Economic Gaslighting, Walz’s Drunk Driving Episode, Another Secret Service Blunder” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they still struggle to locate a good martini. Instead, they highlight how Kamala Harris is trying to gaslight Americans about why everything costs so much, the details surrounding Tim Walz’s drunk driving arrest back in the ’90s, and a Secret Service agent found missing from her post just moments before Trump’s arrival at a rally in North Carolina.

First, they note Vice President Harris, just like President Biden, is blaming high prices on greedy, gouging companies instead of their reckless spending and other inflationary policies. They give Harris a quick review of why costs skyrocketed in the first couple years of the Biden-Harris administration and why demonizing corporate America is not going to help at all.

Next, they dig into the details of Tim Walz’s 1995 drunk driving arrest for going 96 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. In addition to documenting that Walz lied about it as recently as his 2006 congressional campaign. Jim also points to the final days of the 2000 presidential election to prove that drunk driving arrests can cause serious problems many years later.

Finally, they groan as a Secret Service agent was discovered to be away from her post without permission just minutes before Donald Trump arrived for a rally because she was breastfeeding her baby. While they love kids, Jim and Greg don’t think bringing kids to your protective detail is a very good idea. And they are stunned that anyone in the Secret Service would be cutting any corners right now.

Snickers Bites Back at Biden, DEI Derailing U.S. Semiconductor Plants, The VA’s VJ-Day Insanity

March 11, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Snickers Bites Back at Biden, DEI Derailing U.S. Semiconductor Plants, The VA’s VJ-Day Insanity” on Spreaker.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women’s Forum and host of the “High Noon” podcast is in for Jim. Today, Inez and Greg discuss three stories featuring insanity – or attempted insanity – from the Biden administration.

First, they applaud Snickers for calling out President Biden’s falsehoods about the company’s alleged “shrinkflation” practices. They not only discuss Biden’s obvious efforts to distract from his own inflationary policies but his decades-long practice of trying to convince low-information voters that he’s actually the stronger choice on issues like border security.

Next, they dig into the infuriating story of how the Biden administration is undermining the CHIPS Act and efforts to manufacture semiconductors here in the U.S. by saddling companies with absurd DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) mandates for hiring and more. As a result, companies are delaying or scrapping plans to build new plants here. Biden and his people are choosing a radical agenda over national security.

Finally, they highlight the story the Department of Veterans Affairs wishes would just vanish. A memo was drafted ordering the removal of the famous photo of the sailor and nurse kissing in Times Square from VA facilities. The photo depicts the jubilation after the Japanese surrendered in August 1945, meaning World War II was over. Why did the VA try to ban the photo? Because the kiss was “non-consensual” and therefore runs afoul of the Justice Department’s current definition of sexual assault. The policy was quickly scrapped by VA Secretary Denis McDonough after an intense & immediate public backlash.

Scandal-Free Super Bowl, Rep. Gallagher Calls It Quits, Biden’s Bogus ‘Shrinkflation’ Argument

February 12, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Scandal-Free Super Bowl, Rep. Gallagher Calls It Quits, Biden’s Bogus ‘Shrinkflation’ Argument” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they share some thoughts on the Super Bowl and dive into two big political stories.
First, they have generally positive reviews of the Super Bowl, other than the fact that the game seemed to last forever. They were pleased there was no officiating controversy that played a huge role in deciding the game like there was last year and we didn’t seem to be inundated with too much woke indoctrination in the ads. Then, they wince as Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher surprisingly announces he will retire from Congress at the end of this year. While clearly disagreeing with Gallagher’s decision to vote against impeaching Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas, they point out Gallagher is usually a very reliable conservative vote and he is doing good work exposing the threat that the Chinese Communist Party poses to the United States.

Finally, they hammer President Biden’s low-energy, mumbling nonsense about how he is fed up with “shrinkflation” and companies charging the same amount for less product. Not only does Biden pretend this isn’t directly related to his inflationary policies but Jim points out that this exposes his own false narrative about the supposed success of “Bidenomics.”
