Durham’s Dire Warning, Crime-Ridden Cities, Pandemic Learning Loss Persists

June 21, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Durham’s Dire Warning, Crime-Ridden Cities, Pandemic Learning Loss Persists” on Spreaker.

Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim today. Join Jon and Greg as they welcome Special Counsel John Durham’s congressional testimony about the FBI’s deeply flawed Crossfire Hurricane investigation and how the Bureau used information it knew was false to obtain FISA warrants on Trump campaign figures. They also appreciate Durham saying that a few cosmetic policy changes at the FBI won’t solve anything, and that there needs to be much more accountability there – especially at the higher levels. They also cringe as the latest Washington, D.C. crime statistics show a big increase over last year and as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson prioritizes taxpayer-funded housing for illegal immigrants over addressing the Windy City’s huge crime problem. Finally, they sigh as the latest testing shows 13-year-olds declined markedly in math and reading skills compared to testing done before the pandemic.

Dems Plot Against Manchin, COVID Test Shortages, Latinos Overwhelmingly Disapprove of Biden

December 21, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Dems Plot Against Manchin, COVID Test Shortages, Latinos Overwhelmingly Disapprove of Biden” on Spreaker.

Jim & Greg marvel at how dumb Democrats are to turn the heat up on Sen. Manchin. They also slam the FDA and the Biden administration for COVID tests being very hard to get. And their jaws drop at a new new poll showing Latinos overwhelmingly disapproving the job Biden is doing as president.

Biden Deportation Ban Shot Down, D.C. Statehood Push, Double Masks & Invasive Tests

January 27, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Biden Deportation Ban Shot Down, D.C. Statehood Push, Double Masks & Invasive Tests” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a federal judge striking down President Biden’s attempted 100-day moratorium on deportations. They also lay out the many reasons the Democrats’ push for D.C. statehood is a terrible idea. And they have plenty to say about the new push for people to wear two masks and China claiming anal swab COVID tests are more accurate.

Burr Under Fire, Biden Keeps Lurching Left, Lousy COVID Tests

May 14, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Burr Under Fire, Biden Keeps Lurching Left, Lousy COVID Tests” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr stepping down from his committee post as the FBI investigation deepens into his coronavirus-related investment decisions. They also assess why Joe Biden keeps moving far left even though he has the Democratic nomination wrapped up. And they recoil as those quick-response COVID tests used by the White House and other places are found to deliver false negatives anywhere from 33-48 percent of the time.

Listen to “Game-Changing Good News, April in Quarantine, Dictatorial Democrats” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer much quicker COVID-19 tests, new treatments, and progress on a vaccine. They also discuss the likely impact of America shutting down for at least another month. And they shake their heads at the tactics of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo.

Greatness of the Free Market, China’s Ugly Threat, Pelosi’s Partisan Ploy

March 13, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Greatness of the Free Market, China’s Ugly Threat, Pelosi’s Partisan Ploy” on Spreaker.

As Jim says, this week has been a very long year.  But it is Friday, and while so much is closed, the Three Martini Lunch is open!  Join Jim and Greg as they praise the innovation in the private sector (and at universities) to produce new coronavirus tests that are accurate, can be produced in mass quantities, and can deliver results much more quickly.  They also love the entrepreneurial instinct in a British teenager who sold his classmates squirts of hand sanitizer.  They also unload on communist China for brazen lies like the U.S. military launched the coronavirus in China and for threatening to cut off supplies of much needed medications to the U.S. at our time of need.  And they hammer House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for trying to cram a billion dollars for taxpayer-funded abortions into the coronavirus relief legislation.

GOP’s Tax Reform Blunders, TSA Fails Test Again, USA Today’s Chainsaw Bayonet

November 9, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America blast congressional Republicans over their embrace of scrapping the adoption tax credit and for considering an end to the property tax deduction.  They also slam the TSA for failing miserably yet again in the latest test designed to see if our blue-shirted friends can actually stop guns, knives and bombs from getting through checkpoints.  And they get a kick out of USA Today suggesting you could add a chainsaw bayonet to an AR-15 rifle.
