Oh man, it’s media day in our year-end Three Martini Lunch awards and Jim and Greg are holding nothing back. Specifically, they look at the stories the mainstream media covered far too much, the ones they conveniently ignored because they didn’t fit their narrative, and what they saw as the best stories of 2020.

Omnibus Disgrace, 3 Martini Lunch Tax Break, ‘Die Hard’ Capitalists
Listen to “Omnibus Disgrace, 3 Martini Lunch Tax Break, ‘Die Hard’ Capitalists” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they fume over the obscene process by which Congress shoveled a lot of wasteful spending into the combined omnibus and COVID relief spending bill that will do some good for small businesses. But while disgusted with the process, they are excited about the doubled tax deduction for three martini lunches! And they address comments from Die Hard director John McTiernan that the film is anti-capitalist, but they just might veer off into other aspects of this cinematic masterpiece.
Major National Security Hack, Biden’s Hunter Problem, Letting Old White People Die
Join Jim and Greg as they discuss what appear to be lengthy, intrusive hacking operations into some of our nation’s most sensitive national security data. They also roll their eyes at Joe Biden’s defense of his son. And they unload on a University of Pennsylvania “ethicist” who want all frontline personnel to be vaccinated before the elderly because the elderly are whiter.
Biden’s Unqualified Cabinet, Putin’s Weak Denial, Lincoln Project’s Lies
Listen to “Biden’s Unqualified Cabinet, Putin’s Weak Denial, Lincoln Project’s Lies” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they wonder what could possibly qualify Pete Buttigieg to be the next Secretary of Transportation. They also react to Russian President Vladimir denying his government killed a prominent critic because his people would have finished the job. And they unload on the frauds at the Lincoln Project, who finally admit they’re now an anti-Republican outfit.
Consequences for Swalwell? AOC & Pelosi, Lefty Vaccine Accusations
Listen to “Consequences for Swalwell? AOC & Pelosi, Lefty Vaccine Accusations” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the effort from House Republicans to kick California Rep. Eric Swalwell off the House Intelligence Committee. They also welcome AOC saying Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer should no longer be leaders but she gives a surprisingly interesting answer for why they still are in charge. And Jim and Greg fire back at critics whining that the nations that developed the coronavirus vaccines get to use it first.
Feds Aim at Hunter, China’s Spy Game, Left Pushing to Oust Feinstein
Listen to “Feds Aim at Hunter, China’s Spy Game, Left Pushing to Oust Feinstein” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they discuss confirmation that a federal prosecutor is investigating Hunter Biden on tax issues, his foreign ties, and possible money laundering. They also sigh at the revelations of China’s efforts to infiltrate the inner circles of politicians supposedly on the rise, and how easily multiple figures seem to have fallen for it. And they react to reports that Sen. Dianne Feinstein is suffering from cognitive decline but find the timing awfully convenient for the far left.
Top Iranian Nuke Guy Killed, The Georgia Senate Mistake, Media’s Biden Worship
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that a top figure in Iran’s likely nuclear weapons program was targeted and killed and they marvel at how it was done. They also bang their heads against the table as some Trump supporters suggest opposing GOP senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler for being insufficiently vocal about the alleged election fraud and believe writing in Trump in the Senate races would send a powerful message. And they groan as the media clearly intends to stay in full Joe Biden cheerleading mode, including one story featuring an animal psychic who says Biden’s dogs are convinced he will be a great president.
Major Middle East Step? Vaccine Battles Loom, Trump Team Boots Powell
Listen to “Major Middle East Step? Vaccine Battles Loom, Trump Team Boots Powell” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome disputed reports that the leaders of Saudi Arabia and Israel met in recent days in hopes that the thaw in Middle East tensions is spreading even farther. As the CEO of Qantas Airlines announces all passengers on international flights will eventually need to be vaccinated against COVID to be allowed on board, Jim and Greg discuss why that’s a difficult policy to enforce and whether people will shut out from society if they refuse. And they discuss the Trump legal team parting ways with Sidney Powell just days after their much-discussed press conference.
GOP Unloads on Warnock, Staggering COVID Hypocrisy, Biden Goes Corporate
Listen to “GOP Unloads on Warnock, Staggering COVID Hypocrisy, Biden Goes Corporate” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they credit Republicans for keeping a treasure trove of opposition research on Raphael Warnock quiet until the Georgia Senate runoff. Now they are highlighting Warnock’s radical statements on many different issues. They also walk through a number of burdensome new COVID restrictions, including Pennsylvania’s requirement to wear masks in your own home if you have guests, and contrast that with politicians like California Gov. Gavin Newsom who don’t think the rules apply to them. And they get a kick out of watching Bernie Sanders supporters become deeply disappointed with Joe Biden as he names corporate figures to most positions in his inner circle.
