NRSC Picking Favorites, Ring Cameras & the Cops, Newsom’s Shadow Campaign

July 11, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “NRSC Picking Favorites, Ring Cameras & the Cops, Newsom’s Shadow Campaign” on Spreaker.

Greg is back! Join Jim and Greg as they discuss National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Steve Daines publicly endorsing his preferred candidates in Montana and Nevada in an effort to avoid missed opportunities like the GOP suffered in 2022. They also roll their eyes as Wired magazine denounces Ring doorbell cameras as being too easy to use to help police solve crimes. Finally, they raise their eyebrows as Politico rolls out fawning coverage of California Gov. Gavin Newsom – including stories on his inner circle and his leadership style. Not exactly the kind of stories we usually see from people who are not running for office soon.

Inside the Koch Confab, We’re Not Getting A Wall, Covering Up Kamala’s Cronyism

January 30, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Inside the Koch Confab, We’re Not Getting A Wall, Covering Up Kamala’s Cronyism” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America review Jim’s trip to the Koch Seminar Network and how the billionaire brothers that Democrats and the media like to describe as evil are pouring money into charities so struggling Americans don’t have to depend solely on the government.  They also sigh as reports make clear that Senate Republicans have no intention of allowing another government shutdown, meaning they aren’t prepared to play hardball over border wall funding.  And they take aim at a Washington Post opinion column arguing that it’s somehow sexist to question whether Kamala Harris got help in launching her political career due to prominent appointments she received from a man she was having an affair with at the time.

Crooked Dems Convicted, Trump & Loyalty, Did Trump Tape Comey?

May 12, 2017 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss the conviction of former Florida Rep. Corrine Brown on 18 counts of fleecing her own charity to fund her own activities and how she is the second Democrat convicted of fraud in the past year.  They also wince as Kellyanne Conway tells Fox News that Trump expects the FBI director to be loyal to the administration.  And they sigh as Trump tweets out the suggestion that he may have secretly recorded his earlier conversations with James Comey.
