Join Jim and Greg as they applaud the direct and devastating attack from GOP New Mexico gubernatorial candidate Mark Ronchetti, as he blasted Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for grabbing the crotch of a male staffer, claiming she did nothing wrong, but also paying the staffer $150,000 to settle the complaint while forbidding the staffer from discussing the matter publicly. Ronchetti was also very effective at calling out the governor for imposing lockdowns she violated on numerous occasions. They also cringe over the latest consumer inflation numbers that come in worse than expected and prove higher prices aren’t going anywhere for awhile. Finally, they slam Politico Europe for naming Vladimir Putin as their top “green” figure because ending dependence upon Russian energy will force a revolution in renewables – ignoring the reality of people freezing to death and facing astronomical energy costs.

Inflation Sticking Around, The Media’s Fetterman Facade, Questionable Quinnipiac Polls
Join Jim and Greg as they wince over the larger-than-expected jump in the Producer Price Index in September and brace for the consumer inflation numbers tomorrow. They also discuss Jim’s in-depth reporting on Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman and the media that have coddled him for many years. And they shake their heads as the Quinnipiac Poll, which was spectacularly wrong at times in 2020, shows not only Sen. Warnock growing his lead over Herschel Walker but Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams in an alleged dead heat in the governor’s race.
Pay Pal’s Power Grab, New York’s Crime Nightmare, Arizona’s Really Weak Democrat
Three crazy martinis today as Rob Long fills in for Jim Geraghty. After Rob explains why he loves holidays in New York City, he and Greg discuss Pay Pal’s insane plan to secretly fine customer’s $2500 for social media posts it deems “disinformation” or “hate,” which nowadays means any statement the left doesn’t like. Rob shreds Pay Pal’s absurd statement in response to the controversy and explains how this may lead to action in Congress. They also highlight the rampant crime in New York City, and Rob shares how this era is different than the crime waves the city endured decades ago. They also point how how New York Mayor Eric Adams is too busy giving a lucrative job to a friend’s wife to match the one is own girlfriend got from that friend. Finally, they marvel at just how bad of a candidate Arizona Democrat Katie Hobbs is, butchering a simple question about Latinos during her campaign for governor.

Youngkin’s Smart Energy Plan, Biden’s ‘Armageddon’ Blunder, CNN’s Ham-Handed Suspension
Join Jim and Greg as they cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for a very sensible plan to champion gas and nuclear power as a way to keep energy abundant and affordable. They also shudder as President Biden starts blabbing about how Russia has us closer to “Armageddon” than any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. And they highlight just how partisan and petty CNN’s former leadership was in suspending conservative commentator Mary Katherine Ham for a very flimsy reason and never even telling her.
GOP Plans China Focus, Trafalgar’s Bold Theory, Twitter’s ‘Fact-Checking’
Listen to “GOP Plans China Focus, Trafalgar’s Bold Theory, Twitter’s ‘Fact-Checking'” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they cheer House Republicans for planning to shine a bright spotlight on China’s many atrocities at home and abroad – from pushing fentanyl into the U.S. to supply chain vulnerability to the persecution of the Uighurs. They also discuss the unique polling approach of the Trafalgar surveys and what it will mean if Republican voters are even more reticent to say who they support but are more determined than ever to vote. And they sigh as Twitter promises ramped-up “fact-checking” that will ramp up before the midterms.
Great GOP Messaging, OPEC Rolls Biden, DeSantis Surging
Listen to “Great GOP Messaging, OPEC Rolls Biden, DeSantis Surging” on Spreaker.
Join Jim and Greg as they serve up two good martinis and one really bad one. First, they spotlight impressive Virginia GOP congressional candidate Hung Cao, his compelling life story and strong answers to divisive questions. They also grumble as OPEC announces production cuts of two billion barrels per day – the exact opposite of what President Biden asked it to do. And they welcome a new poll showing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis up double figures in his re-election bid. They also interpret the media’s disinterest in the hurricane aftermath as proof that DeSantis and his administration have put together a strong response to the devastating storm.

GOP’s Senate Momentum, Army’s Dismal Recruiting, OPEC’s Possible Price Hike
Listen to “GOP’s Senate Momentum, Army’s Dismal Recruiting, OPEC’s Possible Price Hike” on Spreaker.
Jim is back! Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the Axios assessment that Republicans seem to have momentum in the battle for the U.S. Senate thanks to shifts in a couple key races. They’re also concerned as the U.S. Army reports it fell 15,000 soldiers short of it’s recruiting goal in Fiscal Year 2022. That’s 25 percent below the target and the other branches posted disappointing numbers too. And they shudder as more and more signs point to gas prices rising again soon, including OPEC threatening significant production cuts.
Jim and Greg also reflect back to the D.C. snipers, whose killing spree began 20 years ago today and claimed the lives of 10 innocent people in the area.

Lemon’s Hurricane Flop, More Climate Hypocrisy, Biden Forgets Lawmaker Is Dead
Scot Bertram is in for Jim today. Join Scot and Greg as they enjoy watching the acting director of the National Hurricane Center reject Don Lemon’s attempt to say climate change is responsible for Hurricane Ian’s strength. They also get a kick out a radio host exposing the rank hypocrisy of a teenage climate celebrity simply by asking her about her recent travel. And they cringe as President Biden asks if GOP Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was at today’s event. Walorski was killed in an accident back in August.
Nordstream Pipeline ‘Leaks,’ Hurricane Politics, A ‘Conversation’ on the Braves
Join Jim and Greg as they have a good time speculating about what caused the “leaks” in the Nordstream and Nordstream 2 pipelines and what it means for the war in Ukraine and for Europe’s energy supply this winter. They also roll their eyes as Sen. Amy Klobuchar suggests passing the Inflation Reduction Act will stop hurricanes in the future and the media seems eager to paint Gov. Ron DeSantis as a failure no matter what happens with Hurricane Ian. Finally, they discuss White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre calling for a “conversation” about whether the Atlanta Braves ought to change their name.
Big GOP Edge in Competitive Districts, Economy Buckling, The Left & ‘Fascism’
Join Jim and Greg as they eagerly welcome a poll showing Republicans with a 21-point advantage in competitive House districts. They also shudder as more signs emerge of a worsening economy from – from energy to housing to hiring. And they discuss the left and the media branding incoming Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as a fascist. But since the left now tars anyone who disagrees with them as “fascist,” the word has lost much of it’s meaning.
