Adams Rejects BLM Threats, Biden’s Diplomatic Boycott, The Kamala Wars

November 16, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Adams Rejects BLM Threats, Biden’s Diplomatic Boycott, The Kamala Wars” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis. First, they applaud incoming New York City Mayor Eric Adams for rejecting threats from Black Lives Matter and vowing to restore law and order to the city.  They also issue a very rare good martini to President Biden for placing a diplomatic boycott on the Winter Olympics in China early next year. And they pop a lot of popcorn as former staffers of Vice President Kamala Harris vent her frustrations to CNN that she is getting lousy assignments from President Biden and that the administration refuses to defend her as vigorously as it sticks up for Pete Buttigieg.

GOP’s Midterm Momentum, Beto Runs Again, Dems Urge Lower Expectations

November 15, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “GOP’s Midterm Momentum, Beto Runs Again, Dems Urge Lower Expectations” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they relish a stunning Washington post poll showing Republicans with a 10-point advantage on the generic ballot and Republicans with a big edge in the suburbs.  Given those political conditions, they welcome the news that Beto O’Rourke thinks this is is the cycle that Democrats can win back the governor’s office in Texas.  And they fire back as Jen Psaki suggests rapidly rising energy prices are proof we need to move away from fossil fuels and left-leaning media suggest the real story in this economic mess is that we need to lower our expectations.

Acknowledging Inflation, 4.4 Million Quit Their Jobs, More COVID Confusion

November 12, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Acknowledging Inflation, 4.4 Million Quit Their Jobs, More COVID Confusion” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome some non-conservative voices explaining that another massive spending bill will only make inflation worse.  They also cringe as 4.4 million Americans quit their jobs in September after 4.3 million did the same in August. And Jim throws up his hands as blue states are stunned that COVID cases are on the rise despite their high vaccination rates.

November 11, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Biden’s Marxist Nominee, Kerry Ignores Genocide, Honoring Veterans” on Spreaker.

Jon Gabriel is in for Jim. Join Jon and Greg as they explore the radical record of the avowed Marxist whom Pres. Biden is nominating to be comptroller of the currency. They also slam John Kerry for saying China’s genocide against Uyghurs is “not my lane” as he tries to get a climate deal with the communists in Beijing. And they express their deep thanks to America’s veterans for their service and sacrifice to keep our nation safe and free.

Clock Wars, Inflation Gut Punch, Schools Not for Learning?

November 10, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Clock Wars, Inflation Gut Punch, Schools Not for Learning?” on Spreaker.

Rob Long is in for Jim. join Rob and Greg as they cheer efforts to end changing the clocks twice a year and get a kick out of the fierce rivalry between activists trying to put an end to time changes. They also groan as inflation swells at the worst pace in more than 30 years. And they listen to another radical whom Loudoun County, Virginia, paid half a million dollars to stress that schools are no longer about learning.

White House & Mandates, Biden’s War on Energy, Where’s Gavin?

November 9, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “White House & Mandates, Biden’s War on Energy, Where’s Gavin?” on Spreaker.

No good martinis today, but join Jim and Greg as they react to the Biden administration urging employers to mandate vaccinations regardless of how courts rule on the new OSHA rule. They also fume as Biden considers shutting down a key Great Lakes pipeline even though energy prices are set to skyrocket this winter. And they wade into the bizarre internet guessing game of where California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been for the past two weeks.

Vax Mandate Blocked, Durham Keeps Digging, GOP Reps Bail Out Biden

November 8, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Vax Mandate Blocked, Durham Keeps Digging, GOP Reps Bail Out Biden” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the Fifth U.S. Circuit of Appeals for placing a stay on President Biden’s order mandating vaccinations for everyone at companies employing 100 or more people. They also welcome the latest indictment from the Durham investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion probe and what it may foreshadow about where Durham is focused next. And they fume as 13 House Republicans vote in favor of the bloated $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill and save Democrats from even more political dysfunction and embarrassment.

Florida Politics; Escaping Afghanistan; COVID Infection Rates

November 5, 2021 by GregC

Jim Geraghty is joined by Chad Benson for today’s Three Martini Lunch. The first martini is a good one: The Democratic Governors Association is thinking of sitting out the Florida’s governors race in 2022 because they think Ron DeSantis is unstoppable.

For the next round, Jim and Chad work through a bad martini: 14,000 green card holders are still stuck in Afghanistan.

For last call, and the final martini of the week, the guys order up a crazy martini: The New York Times Charles Blow is befuddled by the fact that the southern states have low rates of new COVID-19 infections… about a month or two after the Delta variant swept through that region and headed north.

GOP’s Jersey Stunner, Reconciliation Chaos, Dem Finger Pointing

November 4, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “GOP’s Jersey Stunner, Reconciliation Chaos, Dem Finger Pointing” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis again today! First, they love the story of Republican Edward Durr defeating the the Dem president of the New Jersey Senate after spending a whopping $153 on his campaign. They’re also encouraged by the ongoing infighting among congressional Democrats who seem to be in more disarray than ever on the reconciliation bill. And they thoroughly enjoy watching progressives and moderates point fingers at each other over their election losses.

Youngkin Win Headlines Big Night for GOP

November 3, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Youngkin Win Headlines Big Night for GOP” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for all good martinis today! First, they celebrate Glenn Youngkin’s win over Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor’s race and other good news for GOP candidates in Virginia. They’re also pleasantly surprised by the very strong showing by Jack Ciattarelli in the New Jersey governor’s race, suggesting Republicans can be competitive just about anywhere next year if they play their cards right. They react to Democrats and liberal media pundits learning nothing from the election results and preparing to double down on the same failed strategies. And they highlight more results from around the country that give conservatives reason to smile.
