May 24, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Another House GOP Win, Behar Lectures Scott on Race, DeSantis & Twitter” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they are impressed at the ability of the House GOP to pass legislation with a slim majority – this time overturning an EPA rule on big truck emissions. They also discuss Joy Behar of “The View” accusing Tim Scott and Clarence Thomas of “not getting it” when it comes to being black in America. Finally, they react to Ron DeSantis breaking tradition and deciding to announce his presidential bid on Twitter.

Great Scott! Public Backs Work for Gov’t Aid, Constitutional Debt Showdown

May 22, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Great Scott! Public Backs Work for Gov’t Aid, Constitutional Debt Showdown” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they offer up two good martinis and a crazy one. First, they welcome South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott into the 2024 GOP presidential race, highlighting his good policy ideas and his happy warrior approach to politics. They also cheer a new poll showing Americans overwhelmingly supporting work requirements for Medicaid and SNAP recipients. Finally, Jim lays out the strong case for why President Biden raising the debt ceiling without approval from Congress would be grossly unconstitutional.

Tim Scott 2024, Biden Forcing EV’s on U.S., Elon Musk vs. BBC

April 12, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Tim Scott 2024, Biden Forcing EV’s on U.S., Elon Musk vs. BBC” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott for launching an exploratory committee to run for president in 2024. While Scott’s chances of being the GOP nominee are slim, they explain why a Scott candidacy is good for the party and makes a lot more sense than some of the other Republican longshots. They also also fume as the Biden administration thinks its job is to remake the auto industry by imposing significant new emissions standards that will force electric vehicles on automakers and consumers within the next decade. However, most people don’t want one. Finally, they break down Elon Musk’sconfrontation with a BBC reporter alleging that “hateful speech” has increased considerably on Twitter since Musk took over but could not list a single example.

Biden’s Tired Spin, Great Scott, Media Malpractice

April 29, 2021 by GregC

Listen to “Biden’s Tired Spin, Great Scott, Media Malpractice” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dissect President Biden’s attempt to put a fresh coat of paint on the same old agenda Democrats have been pushing for decades, including his push for massive tax hikes and insistence that his gun control agenda is compliant with the second amendment. They also cheer Tim Scott for a terrific GOP response, in which he blew up several false narratives from Democrats and pushed for critical items like school choice. And they hammer media outlets of both political persuasions for publishing stories that didn’t have all the facts right and for catering to favored politicians.

Dissecting the Debate

September 30, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Dissecting the Debate” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they dig into what we witnessed in the first presidential debate on Tuesday. They discuss the constant crosstalk and why Trump would have been smarter to let Biden tangle himself in his own incomprehensible rhetoric. They also detail how both candidates handled the urban violence issue and Biden’s insistence on refusing to have an opinion on adding justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Great Scott, Roberts Rules Wrong Again, Trump vs. Bolton

June 18, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Great Scott, Roberts Rules Wrong Again, Trump vs. Bolton” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott for a pragmatic approach to police reform and for rightly hammering the Democratic characterization of his legislation as a “token” approach. They also rip Chief Justice John Roberts for siding with the four liberal justices in blocking the Trump administration’s effort to end DACA, which was unconstitutionally created in the first place.  And they wade into the ugly back and forth between President Trump and former National Security Adviser John Bolton over Bolton’s scathing new book.
