First, they praise Donald Trump’s lawyers for being on their A-game while handling Michael Cohen’s cross-examination and examining the final witnesses. They observe that the prosecution’s case has been badly damaged at this point, but that we still cannot be certain of what the final verdict will be.
Next, they criticize the U.N’s poor handling of the transportation of relief supplies in Gaza, as looters are scrambling for the aid that the U.S. has sent over. They contemplate whether these looters might have an association with Hamas, and note that the officials who are transporting the aid must provide armed security if they hope to secure their supplies.
Finally, they roll their eyes as Biden puts his senility into full view once again, introducing an American hostage…who is still being held by Hamas. They speculate on whether the Democratic Party might swap Biden for another candidate before this year’s election, depending on whether he can pull it together for the upcoming debate with Trump.

Greg is back on a busy news day, as he and Jim discuss the death of Iran’s president, Biden’s disgustingly divisive commencement speech, and the GOP latching on to a loser in the Arizona U.S Senate race.
First, they shed zero tears upon the death of radical Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and three other officials in a helicopter crash on Sunday. They document Raisi’s murderous record and why his death is not worth mourning, but they also note that not much will change anytime soon for the Iranian people eager to be free.
Next, they hammer President Biden for his racially divisive demagoguery in his commencement address at Morehouse College in Georgia. They not only dissect the appalling lies in the speech but also what it tells us about how Biden and his advisers see the state of the 2024 campaign.
Finally, they groan as a new poll shows Democrat Ruben Gallego leading Republican Kari Lake by a wide margin in the Arizona Senate race. They see Lake as a surefire loser with way too much political baggage and urge GOP voters there to pick a nominee who would be far better at the job and would actually have a chance at winning in November.

Listen to “The State of the Media: The Variety, The Rank Partisanship, The Exhaustion” on Spreaker.
The mainstream media have never been friends of conservatives, but their approach to news – and political news in particular – is far different than it was just a few decades ago. But the media landscape is also very different than it was a generation ago. In today’s special edition, Jim and Greg assess the good, the bad, and the crazy of today’s media.
Some conservatives may wonder what’s good about the media. The simple answer is we have exponentially more options today to seek out and discover the news. Not that long ago, a few different news organizations dictated which stories you would hear about. That’s not true anymore. Jim and Greg discuss the challenges that brings but also the opportunity for Americans to have a far more comprehensive idea of what is really happening.
Then, they dive into the biggest problem in our political media – the glaring shift from a leftward bias to leftward partisanship. They explain the difference, how how quickly that evolution happened, and why it’s such a significant and damaging change to our news and our politics.
Finally, they discuss an inevitable consequence of a never-ending news cycle – media burnout. With an avalanche of stories in our news feeds every day, many people are getting exhausted by it and simply don’t pay attention anymore. Is that a good trend or will it lead to a more uninformed public?

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss a much needed history lesson from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, President Biden providing cover for Hamas, and Biden offering a big fat le about inflation.
First, they applaud Gov. DeSantis for supporting the effective & sane campus protest policies at the University of Florida and also explaining to demonstrators that there never was a Palestinian state.
Then they hammer President Biden for turning his back on Israel and saying he will cut off more weapons for Israel if Israeli Defense Forces take the fight to Hamas in Rafah. He’s essentially doing everything he can to save Hamas.
Finally, they call out Biden again for telling CNN’s Erin Burnett that the inflation rate was nine percent when he took office. It was actually 1.4 percent. Jim rips the president for concocting this fantasy world where he blatantly lies about reality and always tries to make himself out to be the hero.

Join Jim and Greg, who actually have a good martini today, along with an absurdly bad one, and some crazy double standards for Democrats.
First, they welcome thirteen federal judges warning Columbia University that they will no longer accept the school’s students as law clerks after the trespassing protests that commandeered a building and university leaders allowed it all to happen. They do want to make sure that students who didn’t break the law don’t get punished for the crimes of others, but it is a warning to Columbia that if it wants to be taken seriously, the worst elements on campus cannot be calling the shots.
Next, they roll their eyes as Hamas agrees to a Middle East ceasefire that had never been on the table. Jim labels the plan an unacceptable counterproposal and explains why. He also blasts much of the mainstream media for proclaiming that Hamas had agreed to the deal and putting the pressure on Israel to consent to it.
Finally, they note racial rhetoric from two Democrats that got some pushback but would have likely meant the end of any Republican’s political career. The latest comes from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul who claimed that kids on the Bronx don’t even know the word “computer.” They also note Maryland Rep. David Trone, who is also running for U.S. Senate, using a racial slur during a committee hearing back in March. Trone says he uttered the wrong word, and it’s likely that he did, but we all know the political volcano that would have ensued if a GOP lawmaker had said it.

There are no good martinis to start the week but Jim and Greg have plenty to discuss about President Biden playing hardball with Israel over ammunition, a seemingly sane House Democrat getting indicted on bribery charges, and South Dakota Gov. just making things worse as she tries to promote her new book.
First, they fume over reports that Biden has paused the delivery of some U.S.-made ammunition to Israel, with no explanation from the White House or anyone else. Is this designed to discourage Israel from going into Rafah to eradicate Hamas? Whatever the reason, an explanation is warranted.
Then, they discuss the indictments aimed at Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda over them allegedly accepting $600,000 in bribes from an energy firm connected with the Azerbaijan government. If it’s true, Cuellar obviously ought to be prosecuted. But are Democrats also eager to oust the Democrat most likely to make common cause with Republicans on the border and other issues?
Finally, they have multiple observations about South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem’s failed attempts to stop the political bleeding over revelations in her new book. From dog killing to whether she ever met with North Korean dictators Kim Jon Un, the answers on “Face the Nation” Sunday were less than impressive – and further proof she won’t be and shouldn’t be nominated for vice president.

Listen to “Trump’s VP Short List? Economic Warning Signs, Biden Adds DACA to Obamacare” on Spreaker.
Jim and Greg finish a very long and busy week by mulling over the four names reported to be on Trump’s VP short list, some concerning signs in the April jobs report, and President Biden taking a page from Barack Obama’s guide to political pandering.
First, they consider the pros and cons of the four figures reported to be under serious consideration to be Donald Trump’s running mate. What benefits do North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance potentially bring to the ticket and what are their liabilities?
Next, they size up the April jobs report – which showed positive job growth but not as much as expected. Plus, they highlight the massive number of Americans who have stopped looking for work and dropped out of the labor force.
Finally, they discuss President Biden’s election year ploy to add DACA recipients (people who were brought to the U.S. illegally by their parents) to Obamacare. And guess who gets to pay for those health care bills?
by GregC
Join Jim and Greg as they discuss more campus crackdowns, how the left really offers little besides destruction, President Biden condemning illegal protests only after they’ve finally been dealt with, and whether Trump and other Republicans might actually have a shot at winning in Nevada this year.
First, they welcome California authorities ending the trespassing protests at UCLA and they also get a kick out of these agitators demonizing the University of California system as being a product of colonialism. They also notice that these “encampments” are all coming down around the same time. Coincidence?
Next, they largely agree with President Biden’s comments on Thursday defending the right to protest peacefully but denouncing demonstrators who trespass, vandalize, and threaten other people. But where was this a week or two ago? Why does the statement only come now as the protests end?
Finally, they dig into Nevada polling numbers and wonder whether Donald Trump can be the first GOP nominee to win the state in 20 years or whether the Silver State will prove to be fool’s gold for Republicans yet again.
