Trump & Greenland, Newsom’s PR Campaign, Biden Thinks Kamala Would Have Beaten Trump?

January 13, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trump & Greenland, Newsom’s PR Campaign, Biden Thinks Kamala Would Have Beaten Trump?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on the 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Donald Trump’s potential progress on Greenland, Gavin Newsom’s focus on his public image amid a crisis, and President Biden’s confusing comments about Kamala Harris and the 2024 election.

First, they’re interested in what might come next as officials in both Denmark and and Greenland are interested in further talks with the incoming Trump administration. Denmark says it won’t sell Greenland to us but what positives could come out of further negotiations?

Next, Jim takes aim at California Governor Gavin Newsom, criticizing his self-centered approach during the ongoing wildfire crisis. Instead of locked in on the urgent situation at hand, Newsom seems more concerned with his personal image and public relations. Jim also explores how Newsom’s attempt to combat “misinformation” is actually generating more misinformation.

Finally, they scratch their heads after President Biden says Kamala Harris “could have and would have” beaten Donald Trump in the 2024 election. And his efforts to clarify only made things more confusing. Does Biden actually know what’s happened over the past six months?

Mayor Bass Fails Los Angeles, Carter Funeral Intrigue, Biden’s ‘Bonkers’ Election Claim

January 9, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Mayor Bass Fails Los Angeles, Carter Funeral Intrigue, Biden’s ‘Bonkers’ Election Claim” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they reflect on the litany of mistakes made by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in the past week, the early portions of the Carter funeral including some curious interactions among the presidents and vice presidents, and President Biden’s “flat-out bonkers” claim that he would have beaten Donald Trump in the 2024 election if he hadn’t dropped out.

First, Jim takes a deep dive into how Mayor Karen Bass is handling the wildfire crisis in Los Angeles. Despite emerging warnings about wildfire dangers, Bass chose to travel to Ghana and stayed there, even after the situation escalated. Her lack of candor and shaky public appearances since returning have also been painful to watch.

Next, they comment on Jimmy Carter’s funeral – both what was said in the early parts of the service and the fascinating interactions – or lack of interactions – among current and former presidents and vice presidents and their spouses. The Biden-Harris, Trump-Pence, and Trump-Obama exchanges were of particular note.

Finally, Jim and Greg react to President Biden’s stunning claim in a USA Today interview, where he asserted that he would have defeated Donald Trump if he had stayed in the 2024 race. Even CNN dismissed his comments as “flat-out bonkers.” Jim points out how recent events and Biden’s actions over the last four years make it clear that he is not equipped to lead the country.

Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest

January 8, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Have Dems Learned Their Lesson? LA’s Wildfire Nightmare, Trump’s Map Quest” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss hopes rising for the Laken Riley Act to pass the Senate, horror and blame as the California wildfires rage, and Trump’s new ideas for the western hemisphere.

First, they celebrate the passage of the Laken Riley Act in the House, with nearly a dozen more Democrats supporting it than in the past. Now, the focus shifts to the Senate, where seven more Democratic votes are needed to pass the bill. Jim and Greg are encouraged by the bill’s momentum and applaud Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman for speaking candidly to his party about the importance of the legislation.

Next, they dive into the devastating California wildfires, as shocking images and videos emerge from Pacific Palisades and beyond. Jim and Greg discuss the chaos of the situation, including Mayor Karen Bass being out of the country during the first few days of the crisis. They explore the conditions that turned these fires into a nightmare and examine how environmental policies that are meant to help are instead making the problem worse.

Finally, they discuss Donald Trump’s latest press conference and his interest in acquiring Greenland, the Panama Canal, and even Canada. He also proposed renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. Jim and Greg explain what they think Trump is doing and get a kick out of the left once again getting hysterical over everything Trump does.

Trudeau Resigning, Biden Honors Soros, Joe’s Ugly Exit

January 6, 2025 by GregC

Listen to “Trudeau Resigning, Biden Honors Soros, Joe’s Ugly Exit” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s impending resignation, President Biden awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros and other unworthy recipients, and Biden’s final actions to undermine U.S. energy development.

First, they react to Trudeau’s announcement that he will step down as prime minister once his party selects a new leader. Jim breaks down the issues that led to widespread dissatisfaction with Trudeau, many of which may sound familiar. They also discuss what lies ahead for Canada.

Next, they express outrage over President Biden awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros, a man who has spent decades funding efforts to weaken and destabilize America. They also highlight several other questionable recipients who don’t deserve such a prestigious honor.

Finally, they examine more ways that Biden is throwing a tantrum as he winds down his presidency, including his decision to ban offshore drilling off both coasts, parts of the Gulf of Mexico, and a major section of Alaska. Additionally, Biden is enacting new regulations targeting gas-powered water heaters.

Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab

November 22, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Gaetz Closed, Casey Finally Concedes, The UN’s Climate Cash Grab” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack Matt Gaetz withdrawing his bid for Attorney General and President-Elect Trump choosing Pam Bondi as his new nominee, Sen. Bob Casey’s overdue concession, and the UN’s latest attempt to bilk U.S. taxpayers in the name of climate change.

First, they discuss Matt Gaetz stepping aside after multiple GOP senators vowed to oppose his nomination. They also explore Pam Bondi’s record as Florida Attorney General and the potential hurdles in her confirmation process. Plus, they explain why Gaetz’s political future won’t include a Senate or House seat.

Next, they’re glad to see Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. concede his loss to Republican challenger Dave McCormick. But even in this statement, Casey spoke glowingly of election officials in all counties and the legal army he assembled, allegedly to make sure no voters were disenfranchised. Jim and Greg are not impressed but they’re glad he’s finally hitting the bricks.

Finally, they roll their eyes at the UN’s plan to demand $250 billion from the U.S. and other Western nations for climate change initiatives. Even more absurd, the recipient nations are upset it’s not $1 trillion. Thankfully, this misguided scheme is unlikely to survive past Trump’s inauguration.

House Dems Blame Game, Pennsylvania Dems Defy Court, Trumps Picks RFK Jr. for HHS

November 15, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “House Dems’ Blame Game, Pennsylvania Dems Defy Court, Trumps Picks RFK Jr. for HHS” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg on 3 Martini Lunch as they unpack some House Democrats blaming their leader for GOP election wins, local Pennsylvania Democrats disregarding court orders to aid Sen. Bob Casey, and Donald Trump choosing Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to run the Department of Health and Human Services.

First, Jim and Greg enjoy the fireworks as some House progressives accuse Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of causing Republican victories by failing to convince President Biden to step aside sooner. The lefties further lament that former Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to push Biden out of the race. Jim and Greg dissect why this narrative is far-fetched but relish watching Democrats openly battle over election blame.

Next, they express disbelief as local Democrats in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, flagrantly defy a state Supreme Court order prohibiting the counting of certain invalid ballots. One commissioner even declared on camera that legal precedent no longer matters. Jim and Greg expose the hypocrisy of Democrats claiming to be defenders of democracy while blatantly ignoring the rule of law.

Finally, they analyze President-Elect Trump’s decision to nominate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services. While Kennedy could champion important reforms, they raise concerns over his pro-abortion stance, his potential priorities, and even more political capital being spent over a cabinet fight.

Trump’s Strong Cabinet Picks, Sen. Casey Won’t Accept Reality, Rep. Moulton’s Trans-Gression

November 12, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Trump’s Strong Cabinet Picks, Sen. Casey Won’t Accept Reality, Rep. Moulton’s Trans-Gression” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss President-Elect Trump’s excellent early cabinet picks, Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey refusing to admit he lost, and a congressional Democrat excoriated by his own side for suggesting boys shouldn’t be playing in girls’ sports.

First, they share their enthusiasm for almost all of Trump’s initial picks, highlighting Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and National Security Adviser Michael Waltz as strong choices. Other notable names like Tom Homan, Elise Stefanik, Lee Zeldin, and Marco Rubio also reassure conservatives, though they raise concerns about Gov. Kristi Noem’s selection for Homeland Security.

Next, Jim and Greg scrutinize Sen. Bob Casey, Jr.’s refusal to admit defeat to Republican challenger Dave McCormick, who leads by 35,000 votes. Casey’s stubbornness  has even delayed McCormick’s freshman orientation. Will Casey or the Democrats pay a price for refusing to accept election results?

Finally, they react to progressives attacking Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton for saying his fellow Democrats aren’t listening to voters on issues like transgender athletes. Moulton also said he didn’t want his daughters getting run over by male athletes during competition. Will the left accept this reality check or just continue to demonize anyone who questions the woke agenda?

Clinton Confirms Border Failure, DOJ Sues Virginia for Updating Voter Rolls, CBS Steps in It Again

October 15, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Clinton Admits Border Failure, DOJ Sues Virginia for Updating Voter Rolls, CBS Steps in It Again” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss Bill Clinton admitting the Biden-Harris border failures, the Justice Department suing Virginia for updating its voter rolls, and CBS caught distorting reponses again – this time from a prominent Republican.

First, Jim and Greg discuss how Bill Clinton hurt the Harris campaign by referencing the brutal murder of Laken Riley, who was killed by an illegal migrant. Clinton stated that “if they’d all been properly vetted, this probably wouldn’t have happened,” directly challenging the left’s defense of Biden-Harris immigration policies. His comments also undermined two other longstanding narratives on the left. Nonetheless, Jim also notes that Clinton proved again that he has an ability to address subjects in a way that most modern day Democrats do not.

Next, they focus on the Justice Department’s lawsuit against Virginia for removing more than 6,300 ineligible voters from its rolls. These names include deceased individuals, people who have moved, and non-citizens, who should not be voting in U.S. elections. Jim and Greg question why the federal government would oppose efforts to maintain voter integrity and ensure only eligible citizens are on the rolls.

Finally, they shift to media bias, exposing CBS’s distortion of House Speaker Mike Johnson’s interview on “Face the Nation.” Johnson’s team recorded the interview, revealing that critical comments criticizing Democratic policies were heavily edited or omitted. Jim also explains how many in the media justify abandoning all pretense of objectivity in elections now.

The VP Debate: Vance Shines, Walz Is Overmatched, Partisan CBS Moderators

October 2, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “The VP Debate: Vance Shines, Walz Is Overmatched, Partisan CBS Moderators” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they break down Tuesday’s vice presidential debate between Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. They explain why Vance dominated, why Walz failed to rise to the occasion, and how the CBS moderators stood out for all the wrong reasons.

First, they highlight Vance’s stellar performance, delivering strong, organized answers while keeping his criticism focused on Kamala Harris rather than Walz. His persuasive responses on the economy, immigration, and the Middle East were particularly effective, though there were a few moments where his answers could have been stronger.

Next, they critique Walz from his shaky start to his painful dodge on his lie about whether he was in China during the Tiananmen Square massacre in June 1989. He seemed to talk more about his record in Minnesota than defending Kamala’s performance as vice president. And they note his inadvertent stumble suggesting he was friends with school shooters. It was a slip of the tongue – but Republicans never get the benefit of the doubt when they flub a line.

Finally, they express frustration with CBS moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan. Both displayed bias, making comments critical of GOP positions and contradicting their promise not to fact-check. Brennan especially fumbled when she tried to cut off Vance as he corrected her on immigration facts.

Kirby Disrespects Veterans, Blaming the GOP for California’s Woes, No Single-Family Homes?

September 12, 2024 by GregC

Listen to “Kirby Disrespects Veterans, Blaming the GOP for California’s Woes, No Single-Family Homes?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for a quick and fun discussion of getting spam emails from the DNC. Then they tackle National Security Council spokesman John Kirby disrespecting veterans critical of Biden, an LA Times columnist blaming Republicans for California’s litany of problems, and politicians in Maryland considering an end to single-family homes.

After some quick jokes about the odd, unsolicited DNC emails that Greg keeps getting, they dig into Admiral Kirby hitting “reply all” on a request for a statement from veterans mad about Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and announcing their concerns weren’t even worth a response. “Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe,” is what Kirby said. Jim says Kirby needs to remember that he works for the people and not the Democratic Party.

Next, they roll their eyes at an opinion column in the Los Angeles Times that admits California is a mess. And even though no Republican has held statewide office since early 2011, columnist Steve Lopez says it’s still the GOP’s fault because of things Republicans did more than 50 years ago and that the Democrats’ many failures under one-party control in recent years are also the Republicans’ fault. Really! Jim has little patience for this revisionism and says Democrats have been able to do whatever they want in California. And what they want leads to disaster.

Finally, they turn their attention to the DC suburbs in Maryland. For years, people on the right have been branded as conspiracy theorists for saying the left wants to put an end to single-family homes and crowd more people into those spaces in order to collect more in property taxes. In Montgomery County, Maryland, the county council is now…surprise…considering legislation to put an end to single-family homes – under the false pretense of creating more affordable housing.
