August 21, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “DNC Finally Done, Biden Speech vs. Reality, ‘Fort Lori'” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg in being relieved that the four days of propaganda known as the DNC are finally over. They also discuss Joe Biden’s speech and why he would not be a unifying figure on virtually any policy. And they hammer Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot for barring protests on her block while showing little regard for other neighborhoods.

August 7, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Another Jobs Jump, New York vs. NRA, Cuomo’s School Surprise” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg to close out the work week as they cheer a better-than-expected jobs report for July. They also wade through the egregious alleged financial improprieties at the National Rifle Association and the political overreach of New York attorney General Letitia James. And they’re a bit stunned as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announces all schools in his state are welcome to return to in-person instruction this fall.

‘The Wake-Up Call for Americans’

May 6, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “‘The Wake-Up Call for Americans'” on Spreaker.

As the coronavirus restriction ease faster in some places than others, stories are emerging of disturbing confrontations between police and the public.

In recent days, police in Texas brought out an MRAP and deployed a SWAT team after a bar owner defied the governor’s order to stay closed and recruited some armed citizens to help her. NYPD officers were filmed tackling social distancing violators to the sidewalk. Multiple parents have been arrested for playing with their kids in closed parks.

Rutherford Institute President John Whitehead says the lockdown orders and how they are being enforced ought to be a wake-up call for all Americans that our first, fourth, and fifth amendment rights.

Whitehead explain why he thinks we’re moving uncomfortably close to martial law in parts of the country and that heavy-handed police tactics are now used to stop people from doing anything the government doesn’t like, regardless of whether it’s constitutional.

Whitehead also details what role he believes police should be playing in our communities and what citizens can do to improve things.

Abrams Not Serious VP Option, Media Bias Confession, SWAT Teams & COVID-19

May 6, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Abrams Not Serious VP Option, Media Bias Confession, SWAT Teams & COVID-19” on Spreaker.

Hey, we actually have a good martini today! Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the apparent news that the Biden campaign is not seriously thinking about Stacey Abrams the running mate to a very wobbly nominee. They’re shocked – although in some ways pleasantly shocked – to see former longtime New York Times figure Martin Tolchin publicly admit he doesn’t want justice or an investigation of Joe Biden in the Tara Reade matter, he just wants a coronation of Biden from the media. And they cringe at the imagery of a SWAT team forcing a Texas bar to stay closed after the bar owner brought in second amendment activists to protect the reopening.

Why Virginia’s New Gun Control Laws Make Citizens Less Safe?

April 15, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Why Virginia’s New Gun Control Laws Make Citizens Less Safe?” on Spreaker.

On Friday, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam signed several gun control bills into law, and while he did not get his prized “assault weapons” ban, gun rights groups say second amendment rights in the commonwealth are greatly weakened by these new laws.

The new legislation requires universal background checks, limits citizens to one firearm purchase per month, established “red flag” laws allowing police to take firearms away from people alleged to be a threat to themselves or others, and gives localities the freedom to establish gun-free zones.

John Crump is Virginia State Director at Gun Owners of America.  In this podcast, he explains which of the new laws bother him the most, why universal background checks give the government information he believes they have no business having, and why he fears red flag laws will be highly abused to deny people their constitutional rights.

Newsom Plays Nice, Biden’s Gun Fight, Dem Race Suddenly A Yawner

March 10, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Newsom Plays Nice, Biden’s Gun Fight, Dem Race Suddenly A Yawner” on Spreaker.

Things are a bit more subdued Tuesday after Monday’s Wall Street carnage. So join Jim and Greg as they get a kick out experts having to spend time telling people not to snort cocaine or drink bleach to prevent coronavirus, no matter what they see on social media. As for the actual martinis, they actually applaud California Gov. Gavin Newsom for being one of the few Democratic governors to discuss the extensive cooperation he’s getting from the Trump administration and refusing to entertain media efforts to get him to slam Trump. Jim and Greg also assess Joe Biden’s dust up with an auto worker over the second amendment – from the facts to his verbal flubs to his insults. And they marvel that less than two weeks after Joe Biden was a political afterthought, few people are glued to today’s six presidential contests because a Biden nomination is a foregone conclusion.

Biden’s Beto Blunder, ‘Hardball’ Strikes Out, Brazile’s Bogus Rant

March 3, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Biden’s Beto Blunder, ‘Hardball’ Strikes Out, Brazile’s Bogus Rant” on Spreaker.

There are no good martinis but it’s still a Super Tuesday on the Three Martini Lunch! Join Jim and Greg as they discuss Joe Biden vowing that he wants Beto O’Rourke to be leading the charge on the gun issue – meaning Biden appears on board with Beto’s gun confiscation agenda. They also walk through the sudden departure of longtime MSNBC host Chris Matthews and how his “retirement” is part #MeToo and partly because of his politics. And they remind former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile of some very inconvenient facts after Brazile angrily told RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to “go to hell” for suggesting the Democratic nominating process was rigged against Bernie Sanders.

Debate Disarray, Very Pricey Debate Tickets, Bernie Targets Warren

February 26, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Debate Disarray, Very Pricey Debate Tickets, Bernie Targets Warren” on Spreaker.

Pull up a stool!  There’s lots to discuss following Tuesday’s poorly run debate in South Carolina. First, Jim and Greg discuss how CBS allowed the debate to descend into an incoherent mess with multiple candidates talking over one another on multiple occasions, but they also highlight Elizabeth Warren’s latest howitzer aimed at Mike Bloomberg, Joe Biden’s latest statistical fiction, and Pete Buttigieg’s attempt to claim the anti-socialist high ground.  In addition, they slam the Charleston Democratic Party for charging outrageous prices for tickets to the debate.  And they analyze Sanders’ decision to leave South Carolina early in order to campaign for two days in Elizabeth Warren’s home state of Massachusetts, which votes on Super Tuesday.

Gun Ban Shot Down, Bloomberg’s Arrogance Piles Up, Arrivederci Avenatti

February 18, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Gun Ban Shot Down, Bloomberg’s Arrogance Piles Up, Arrivederci Avenatti” on Spreaker.

After a fun Presidents Day special, Jim and Greg are once serving up good, bad, and crazy martinis.  Join them today as they celebrate Virginia Democrats failing to pass a ban on so-called “assault weapons,” suppressors, and magazines holding more than 12 rounds. They also dive into more offensive comments from former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, this time contending that people need a more gray matter to work in the information economy than in farming and that old people diagnosed with cancer shouldn’t receive treatment because it costs too much money. And they react to the criminal convictions for attorney Michael Avenatti and again scold the liberal media for turning Avenatti into the media just because he was an adversary of President Trump.

Gun Rights Group Takes on Bloomberg

February 14, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Gun Rights Group Takes on Bloomberg” on Spreaker.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent a lot of money in recent years to help elect a Democratic majority in the Virginia legislature with the expectation those new lawmakers would enact gun control legislation. Now that dream is coming true, and a leading gun rights organization is now looking to turn the Virginia primary into an electoral nightmare for Bloomberg’s presidential ambitions.

Democrats won majorities in both chambers of the Virginia legislature in November.  In the coming weeks, legislation will likely be passed to accomplish much of the gun control agenda, including universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, limiting the number of rounds in a magazine, limiting firearm purchases to one per month, and “red flag” laws that allow law enforcement to remove weapons from citizens if they are deemed a threat to themselves or others.

Gun Owners of America Legislative Counsel Mike Hammond says Bloomberg and his gun control allies are about to get everything they want.,

“The entire gun control agenda, as advocated by the most ardent New York gun control activists has effectively been enacted n Virginia – as soon as the two houses work out minor differences. Virginia has now become New York or California,” said Hammond.

Hammond has no doubt Bloomberg wants to enact the same type of laws on a national scale.  It’s a risk he says the United States cannot afford.

“Gun Owners of America understands that this is pretty much Armageddon for us…If he’s able to use his $55 billion in order to buy our Constitution, then I think it’s game over for us,” said Hammond.

With the Democratic presidential primary coming up March 3, Hammond says Gun Owners of America plans to actively campaign against Bloomberg.

In this podcast, Hammond tells Greg Corombos why he sees a Bloomberg presidency as an existential threat, how a pro-gun group will try to convince Democrats to vote against Bloomberg, and whether the second amendment sanctuary movement in Virginia is an effective firewall against the gun control agenda.
