Forest Fire Facts, Middle East Momentum, Public Backs Barrett

October 20, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Forest Fire Facts, Middle East Momentum, Public Backs Barrett” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg for three good martinis! First, they credit NBC for actually reporting that a big reason for huge forest fires is poor government management and a refusal to diligently thin out forests to contain future fires. They’re also thrilled to see polling showing 80 percent of Saudis expecting normalization of relations with Israel and 71 percent expecting it whether the Palestinians pursue a peace deal or not. And they’re glad to see a majority of Americans approving the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett and a huge majority opposing court packing.

Hawley Hammers Lawmakers, NBC’s Ugly Hit Job, NFL Courting Kaepernick

June 17, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Hawley Hammers Lawmakers, NBC’s Ugly Hit Job, NFL Courting Kaepernick” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley for calling out the Supreme Court’s recent judicial activism but also for upbraiding legislators for being too fearful to take up difficult issues and leaving them to the courts to resolve. They also slam NBC for attempting to get Google to deplatform The Federalist and Zero Hedge – largely based on objectionable content in the comments section.  And they discuss NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suddenly encouraging teams to sign Colin Kaepernick.

Better Looking Models, Why Is Wisconsin Voting? NBC Parrots China

April 7, 2020 by GregC

Listen to “Better Looking Models, Why Is Wisconsin Voting? NBC Parrots China” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome far lower COVID-19 death projections than we were seeing just days ago but hope they still go much lower. They also wonder why Wisconsin is still holding elections in the midst of a stay-at-home order and fear Republicans will get blamed for any rise in cases linked to voting lines. And they hammer NBC for reporting China’s bogus numbers on COVID cases and deaths as if they are accepted facts.

LeBron’s China Choke, Chris Hayes Calls out NBC, Steyer’s Hysteria

October 15, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “LeBron’s China Choke, Chris Hayes Calls out NBC, Steyer’s Hysteria” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty is back and firing on all cylinders for three big stories today!  First, he and Greg poster dunk on LeBron James for calling Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey “uneducated” for his tweet urging people to stand up for freedom in Hong Kong and suggesting such speech can be very harmful – to the Chinese government and NBA profits apparently.  In complete contrast to LeBron’s cowardice, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is loudly applauded for hammering his own employer for following the path of least resistance in spiking Ronan Farrow’s story on Harvey Weinstein.  And they roll eyes before ripping Tom Steyer for telling supporters a win for the Democrats in 2020 means the end of the Republican Party forever and a Republican win “literally” means the end of the world.

Turks Attack Kurds, NBC’s Negligence, Free Speech Infringement

October 9, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Turks Attack Kurds, NBC’s Negligence, Free Speech Infringement” on Spreaker.

The search is still on for a good martini this week.  Today, Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America react to the Turkish military striking Kurdish targets just two days after the U.S. announced it would move forces out of the area so Turkey could attack one of our closest allies in the fight against ISIS. They also shudder at rape allegations against former “Today” show host Matt Lauer and at new revelations about the steps NBC executives took to downplay Lauer’s actions and stop journalist Ronan Farrow from releasing his Harvey Weinstein story that started the #MeToo movement. And they recoil as two NBA fans are removed from an NBA game in the U.S. for bringing signs and voicing support for Hong Kong.

Condi Crushes NBC, Supremes Side with Trump, Dems Duke it Out

September 12, 2019 by GregC

Listen to “Condi Crushes NBC, Supremes Side with Trump, Dems Duke it Out” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for utterly rejecting the suggestion from NBC’s Savannah Guthrie that Russian meddling may have tipped the 2016 election to President Trump – and explaining what really did happen.  They also welcome the U.S. Supreme Court siding with the Trump administration in requiring asylum seekers to apply for asylum in any country they enter on the way to the U.S.  And they pop the popcorn as the Biden campaign takes a swing at Elizabeth Warren and Marianne Williamson complains that the Democrats are meaner to her than conservatives.  Finally, they figure out ways to tolerate a three-hour Democratic presidential debate tonight.

Bad Beto, McCain Funeral Snubs, NBC Spiked #MeToo?

August 31, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Bad Beto, McCain Funeral Snubs, NBC Spiked #MeToo?” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America credit the Houston Chronicle for reporting what dozens of fawning Beto O’Rourke features have not – that he not only drove drunk in 1998, but caused a major accident and then tried to flee the scene.  They also react to John McCain snubbing 2008 campaign aides Steve Schmidt, Nicolle Wallace, and John Weaver from his funeral invitation list, presumably over their willingness to trash him to make money and launch media careers following that election.  And as a former NBC producer insists the network spiked Ronan Farrow’s reporting on the sexual assaults and harassment by Harvey Weinstein, Jim zeroes in on why NBC wanted nothing to do with the story.

Kavanaugh Nominated, Missing out on Amy Barrett, SCOTUS Conspiracy and Protests

July 10, 2018 by GregC

Listen to “Kavanaugh Nominated, Missing out on Amy Barrett, SCOTUS Conspiracy and Protests” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America celebrate President Trump’s pick, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court. They also reflect on what could have been had Trump nominated Catholic, conservative, mother-of-seven Judge Amy Coney Barrett. And they dismiss the single-source claim of NBC Reporter Leigh Ann Caldwell that Kennedy negotiated his replacement to be Kavanaugh before he stepped down. They also highlight the volatile protesters, who appeared with signs to reject any candidate that Trump selected and who forced Fox News Host Shannon Bream to cancel her show outside the Supreme Court.

Mona Gets it Right, Broward Sheriff Flailing, NBC vs. Ivanka

February 26, 2018 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud conservative columnist Mona Charen for speaking the hard truth that too many on the right are willing to look the other way on President Trump’s personal behavior – and even the Roy Moore story – in an effort to achieve political goals.  They also rip Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel for looking at the litany of mistakes and missed opportunities for authorities to stop the Stoneman Douglas shooting and flippantly concluding, “If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, then O.J. Simpson would still be in the record books.”  And they shake their heads as NBC interviews Ivanka Trump at the Olympics and asks her whether she believes her father’s accusers.

Libs Fume at Schumer, Court Kills House District Map, Holt Does Kim’s Bidding

January 23, 2018 by GregC

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America enjoy seeing Democrats get accused of caving in the shutdown standoff and seeing the avalanche of leftist criticism aimed at Chuck Schumer.  They also shake their heads as the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rules that the current congressional map is unconstitutional gerrymandering and a new map must be drawn, likely costing the Republicans at least two seats.  And they’re disgusted as North Korea keeps finding ways to turn the Winter Olympics in South Korea into an opportunity to glorify its own communist dictatorship, and media figures like NBC’s Lester Holt seem only too happy to help.
