Biden Unpopular in California, Photographers Embedded with Hamas, Michigan’s Green Energy Land Grab

November 9, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Biden Unpopular in California, Photographers Embedded with Hamas, Michigan’s Green Energy Land Grab” on Spreaker.

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and Greg dissect a poll showing President Biden with a 52 disapproval rate in deep blue California. Republicans have virtually no chance to win the state but there is clearly widespread dissatisfaction in Biden’s performance.

They also recoil at the news Associated Press and Reuters photojournalists were embedded with Hamas during their ghastly slaughter of Israelis on October 7. Some of those photographers also freelanced with CNN and the New York Times. This raises so many questions about what the news organizations may have known ahead of time and how they dealt with learning their employees were there and possibly even participating.

Finally, they groan as Michigan leftists makes plans to set up solar and wind farms on 209,000 acres of the state and have stripped local leaders from being able to refuse these projects in their jurisdictions. And even that huge amount of land isn’t enough to meet the 100 percent renewable energy mandates set for 2040.

House Censures Rep. Tlaib, GOP’s Election Losses, Can Republicans Get Back to Winning?

November 8, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “House Censures Rep. Tlaib, GOP’s Election Losses, Can Republicans Get Back to Winning?” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the House of Representatives delivering a bipartisan censure to Michigan Rep, Rashida Tlaib for her brazen lies about the Gaza hospital bombing and her overt gaslighting about the true meaning of “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

They also sigh as they track disappointing election results in Kentucky, Virginia, and Ohio. They also offer reasons for the GOP’s losses, where the politics go next on abortion, and much more. Plus, they try to find some silver linings.

Finally, they wonder when the Republican Party will have some tough discussions about the path forward and whether any of that will come up in tonight’s GOP presidential debate.

Can Reynolds Boost DeSantis in Iowa? Debt Interest Passes $1 Trillion, Biden’s ‘Messaging’ Problem

November 7, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Can Reynolds Boost DeSantis in Iowa? Debt Interest Passes $1 Trillion, Biden’s ‘Messaging’ Problem” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they set the stage for today’s off-year elections that will have big consequences in states like Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey and more.

Then they kick off the martinis with a focus on Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds endorsing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president. How much does her endorsement matter and will we actually get a competitive primary?

They also shudder at the news that our annual interest payments on the national debt are now more than $1 trillion per year. It’s an issue that both parties have intentionally ignored for decades and the consequences are going to be ugly.

Finally, they roll their eyes as Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz insists that lousy polls for President Biden over the past two years are merely a “messaging issue.”

NYT Poll Has Dems Trying to Shove Biden, Obama Says We’re All ‘Complicit’ in Middle East Mess, Rep. Tlaib’s ‘River to the Sea’ Gaslighting

November 6, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “NYT Poll Has Dems Trying to Shove Biden, Obama Says We’re All ‘Complicit’ in Middle East Mess, Rep. Tlaib’s ‘River to the Sea’ Gaslighting” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they respond to a new New York Times/Siena College showing Donald Trump leading President Biden in five of six swing states, and the calls from Democrats for Biden not to run next year are growing louder. But will he? Who would replace him? And this poll most damaging to Republican presidential candidates claiming that Donald Trump is unelectable?

They also slam former President Barack Obama for suggesting “all of us are complicit” for the ongoing mess in the Middle East. Jim outlines many of Obama’s failed approach to the Middle East that coddled Iran and put far more pressure on Israel than the people who don’t want Israel to exist.

Finally, they shred Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib for trying to claim that the chant “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is about “peaceful coexistence” and not a call for violence and genocide.

November 3, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “A Good Governor’s Race; A Bad Military Tactic; A Crazy Walkout” on Spreaker.

Chad Benson guest hosting for Greg Corombos.

GOOD: A governor’s race in Kentucky that never looked good for the GOP is tightening in the final days.

BAD: You can’t “pause” when your guys are on the front lines on enemy territory in an active battle.

CRAZY: Columbia students vs. Hillary Clinton.

Jim in Taiwan: The Chinese Threat, Strong Defenses, Earthquakes & Innovation

November 2, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Jim in Taiwan: The Chinese Threat, Strong Defenses, Earthquakes & Innovation” on Spreaker.

Jim spent more than a week in Taiwan, getting first-hand briefing and answers to key questions about how our ally is bracing for a possible Chinese invasion. Today, Jim briefs us on what he learned – the good the bad and the crazy.

First, Jim explains the significant advantages Taiwan has in the event of Chinese aggression. From the physical characteristics of the island to the massive urban setting and even jungle conditions in other areas, China would face a hostile environment in addition to a hostile population.

Then Jim details the sobering assessment that China will likely attack within the next several years. He also shares how Taiwan’s lack of formal independence gives it a second-class status in several important ways – from the United Nations to being ignored by Interpol and the World Health Organization.

Finally, Jim reveals some of the intense and amusing sidelights, from being caught in an earthquake to the quirks of other journalists on the trip to his overt jealousy of the superior engineering of Taiwanese toilets.

Virginia’s Terrorism Probe, Hamas Traps 600 Americans, Abortion & the Elections

November 1, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Virginia’s Terrorism Probe, Hamas Traps 600 Americans, Abortion & the Elections” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Virginia’s investigation of a domestic Islamic organization over possible ties to terrorist organization. They urge a full and honest probe but Jim also explains why he’s not fretting over the public relations impact on the group in the meantime.

They also fume over the ongoing dearth of coverage of the approximately 10 American hostages still held by Hamas nearly a month after the attack. And now we also learn that Hamas refuses to let some 600 American residents leave Gaza without major concessions. Why are media outlets so quiet about these Americans held against their will?

Finally, they look ahead to next week’s off-year elections in several states and wonder whether Democrats can win talking almost exclusively about abortion and when Republicans will start defending their positions more effectively.

Fetterman’s Curious Encounter, FBI’s Terrorism Warning, Politico Dissects DeSantis’ Boots

October 31, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Fetterman’s Curious Encounter, FBI’s Terrorism Warning, Politico Dissects DeSantis’ Boots” on Spreaker.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to an odd encounter Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman had with one of his voters – a voter who was shoved outside by a staffer after demanding an answer about a Middle East ceasefire.

They also wince as FBI Director Christopher Wray warns of Hamas-inspired terrorist attacks against Americans – similar to the ISIS-inspired attacks from several years ago. And Jim breaks down how anti-Semites convince themselves that the demonization of Jews justifies any horrible deed in their minds.

Finally, they hammer Politico for running a ridiculous story investigating whether Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis likely places lifts into his boots to appear slightly taller. And Jim explains how this type of “journalism” has made our country and our politics dumber.

Pence Ends 2024 Bid, Russian Airport Mob Targets Jews, Rep. Phillips Challenges Biden

October 30, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “Pence Ends 2024 Bid, Russian Airport Mob Targets Jews, Rep. Phillips Challenges Biden” on Spreaker.

Jim Geraghty is a bit weary but he’s back from Taiwan! Join Jim and Greg as they discuss former Vice President Mike Pence announcing that he is suspending his presidential campaign and former President Trump saying he expects a Pence endorsement.

They also shudder as a predominantly-Muslim mob of Russians in Dagestan swarm an airport trying to get their hands on Jewish people. Jim says that last week we witnessed “the American intifada” on U.S. college campuses and it’s obvious there are plenty of others around the world who feel the same hatred.

Finally, they serve up a double crazy martini over Rep. Dean Phillips challenging President Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination. It’s crazy because very few Americans know who Phillips is but the reaction on the left that this new campaign is a threat to democracy is also insane.

U.S. Strikes Back at Iran, FBI/DOJ Burying Evidence on Biden? Bowman’s Sweetheart Deal

October 27, 2023 by GregC

Listen to “U.S. Strikes Back at Iran, FBI/DOJ Burying Evidence on Biden? Bowman’s Sweetheart Deal” on Spreaker.

Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney and National Review Contributing Editor Andy McCarthy is in for Jim, who will be back on Monday. Today, Andy and Greg cheer the U.S. strikes against Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps sites in Syria following multiple drone attacks against U.S. forces in the region last week. But Andy is very concerned that the Biden administration refuses to get tough with Iran, who is clearly collaborating with Hamas, Russia, and the Chinese.

Andy also breaks down the open letter from Sen. Chuck Grassley alleging that dozens of whistleblowers have told him the FBI and Justice Department are refusing to follow up on key evidence of the Biden family corruption and are actively trying to bury it all.

Finally, Andy walks us through the incredibly generous deal offered to New York Rep. Jamal Bowman for intentionally pulling a fire alarm to delay a House vote late last month. New video proves Bowman’s story to date is false. Andy explains why Bowman should have been charged with disrupting a congressional proceeding and why this sweetheart deal of a $1,000 fine and the charge not staying on his record permanently was done.
